Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Not knowing what had suddenly caused the golden barrier of the temple to start expanding far faster than he had expected it to do, Xuan Hao was left in a state of confusion for a brief instant before he refocused his attention back on the trapping formation. Understanding that he had far less time than he had first expected to inspect the formation symbols of the trapping formation...

”That is- Haha! Looks like we will soon be able to get out.”

”Hmph! Even if that guy managed to escape with the help of this little formation, there is no way he will be able to run away after I get rid of these damnable vines!”

And outside of himself, the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators who were trapped by the trapping formation also realized what was happening outside through the vines keeping them trapped clearly starting to weaken as the trapping began to dedicate more of its power towards breaking through the golden barrier of the small temple, something that wasn’t the slightest bit successful and only ended up delaying the expansion of the golden barrier by a few seconds.

”Run away from you? Don’t think you can just monopolize the Stardusk Essence because your strength is a little stronger than the rest of us!”

”Heh! With your little strength, there is no way for you compete without the help of this little temple of yours.”

”You- Just you wait, the chaos is bound to have attracted a senior of my Heavenly Dragon Temple stronger than you!”

”Hmph...”

Among the trapped Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators, the one from the Heavenly Dragon Temple and the Middle Stage Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who came from the Southern Central Region even managed to start arguing with each other, something that was possible due to the simple fact that the vines trapping them didn’t prevent sound from escaping from the small sealed spaces they had created for the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators and the rest of the people who had been unlucky enough to have been inside the city when the trapping formation had activated.

Although... From the clear hesitant sound that came from the one from the Southern Central Region at the end, it was clear that he ended up becoming rather worried upon hearing the mention of a powerful figure from the Heavenly Dragon Temple potentially showing up.

This somewhat fearful reaction stemming from the simple fact that he was currently inside the Heavenly Drage Temple’s territory.

No matter how confident he might be in himself, he clearly understood how unwise it would be for him to try and fight the Heavenly Dragon Temple inside their own territory.

...

Different from Xuan Hao who was trying to comprehend as many formation symbols he could before it was too late and the Celestial Immortals ready to charge out to find the little Dao Seed Realm cultivator that had not only dared to humiliate them like this, but also run away with the Stardusk Essence, Huo Fen, the person in question, was currently looking around himself with a cautious expression on his face.

”Looks like we managed to escape safely without any problems, but with the randomness of that bracelet, it could have taken us anywhere from a few hundred kilometers away from the city all the way up to tens of thousands of kilometers away...” Ensuring that there was no immediate threat to himself and his disciple, Huo Fen relaxed slightly as he assured his disciple before starting to spread his divine sense out to try and get a better idea of where they had ended up.

After all, as strong as the bracelet was. Far surpassing any artifact he had ever encountered, it was inherently random when it came to where they ended up after using it and had therefore been reserved only for truly dangerous situations.

This was not some unique feature of the spatial artifact, but instead it had to do with the fact that his comprehension of the Dao of Space was too low to transfer spatial coordinates into the bracelet for it to travel to.

Whoosh~

As his divine sense swept through the surroundings, now that he felt confident that there shouldn’t be any powerful demon beasts hiding anywhere nearby, Huo Fen soon managed to map out the general area he and his disciple now found themselves in-

”This place... Not good!”

But as he began to understand where he had ended up with his disciple, he could not stop panicking.

Not because he had accidentally ended up landing inside some ancient forbidden ground, but instead because he could see a familiar looking city covered in an enormous formation not too far away. The city that they had just escaped from a few seconds earlier!

”Why did it have to put us so close to the city!? Even if we try to escape with the help of the bracelet again, there might not be enough time before they break through the formation. Not to mention, the commotion caused by the trapping formation is bound to have drawn the attention of the more powerful cultivators behind those Celestial Immortals!”

Starting to panic after realizing just how dangerous his current situation had become due to the bracelet’s rather embarrassing short teleportation, Huo Fen didn’t waste a single second as he grabbed his disciple and began to activate the spatial artifact in the form of a bracelet around her wrist while complaining out loud.

Swish-!

At the same time also jumping into the air to escape in the opposite direction of the city.

Even though the distance he could cover in the few minutes it would take for the trapping formation to break would at most take a few seconds for the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators to cover, it would at the very least buy the spatial artifact a bit more time to activate.

”Huh? My spiritual fruits!?” In the process of all this happening, Meng Jie barely had time to comprehend what was going on before she found herself being dragged away by her master. Accidentally dropping a half-eaten spiritual fruit in the process.

Not that her master cared much about something like that considering their current deadly situation.

The only somewhat positive to their current situation was the fact that the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators inside the city wouldn’t have any clue about which direction they were going due to the bracelet having essentially covered their escape path. Meaning it would take some time for them to figure out where they had gone. Potentially buying them the last bit of time needed for the spatial artifact to gather enough power to activate again

As for Xuan Hao... Huo Fen had not forgotten about him or how he had told him that he would come and find them.

However, even if he did feel confident that Xuan Hao might be someone more powerful than the other Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators at the auction and even suspected him to be a legendary figure at the Star Creation Realm, he did not intend to bet everything on waiting for this person and hoping for him to save him and his disciple from the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators that would come chasing after them. Especially when he wasn’t yet entirely sure about how strong he truly was.

After all, he still knew that there was a very real chance that the reason why Xuan Hao had managed to avoid being targeted by the trapping formation could be because of a flaw in the formation he had created when he had set up the formation in secret.

As the one who had set up the formation... He understood to some extent just how much he had damaged the formation setting it up. This damage causing the trapping formation to not target someone wasn’t exactly hard to believe...

Not to mention, Xuan Hao had told them that he would be finding them, so even if he left the spot he and his disciple had ended up in, he wouldn’t be going against what this terrifying senior had said to him.

And if Xuan Hao was as strong as he suspected, he doubted that he would be able to hide his tracks from him like he had done by using the spatial artifact to escape from the city.

The Dao of Space might be difficult to comprehend, but for someone in the Star Creation Realm, Huo Fen didn’t believe that they wouldn’t have comprehended the Dao of Space to a profound level or in case their comprehension in the Dao of Space was lacking, have some kind of artifact to make up for this kind of flaw.

If Xuan Hao couldn’t catch up to him and his disciple... Well... That wouldn’t be a loss either and would actually be the best outcome, as he and his disciple wouldn’t have to face this kind of terrifying existence who had at the very least reached the Celestial Immortal Realm even if he wasn’t as strong as he had suspected.
