Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”Hm?”

However, just as he was about to grab Huo Fen and Meng Jie to escape before the heavenly blade could reach him, he sensed something flying directly towards him at a terrifying speed or more precisely the heavenly blade-

BAAAANG-!

Xuan Hao barely had time to react before the heavenly blade about to reach him was hit head on exactly where the weak point was located, causing the somewhat unstable energy inside the heavenly blade to act in tandem with the heavy object to deviate the original trajectory of the heavenly blade.

Feeling a sense of profound confusion as he watched this play out, holding back on teleporting away for now, Xuan Hao could not help wondering just what had happened.

Someone decided to intervene in the battle to help me? But who? I don’t really know anyone in the Western Central Region, let alone anyone capable of handling the attack of a Star Creation Realm cultivator....

As his thoughts began to wander on their own trying to guess what had ended up happening and who it was that had decided to intervene to safe him just at the last second, Xuan Hao’s divine sense finally managed to pierce through the chaotic energy that surrounded the now extremely unstable heavenly blade.

”Wha... What in the world... A demon beast...? No- Isn’t this the one that should have been clashing with that Land Creation Realm cultivator?”

But instead of a mysterious savior, what he ended up finding was a familiar-looking demon beast laying on the ground covered in countless bloody wounds.

From the looks of the situation, the demon beast hadn’t shown up to save him but had somehow ended up being knocked flying by some kind of terrifying attack that had ended up with it colliding directly with the heavenly blade.

Even if the demon beast had been in a decent shape before colliding with the heavenly blade. Now that it had ended up colliding with the heavenly blade without any preparations, it had essentially taken the full burnt of the attack directly with its body. The fact that it was still alive was a testament to just how terrifying the vitality of a demon beast was...

Rumble~

”Huh? Why... Why is blade turning on me!?”

But maybe the most critical thing that ended up happening was that the now unstable heavenly blade didn’t seem to have the capability to lock on to a single person any longer. indiscriminately target whoever was closest to it, someone who just so happened to be the bandit leader, as both the blade and demon beast had ended up landing right next to him.

”Stop- STOP IT!!!”

Swish~

”Aaaaah... WHY!?”

Unable to put up any real defense in the face of the now unstable heavenly sword, the bandit leader could only scream out in disbelief before being cut down by the blade. Unable to even use a teleportation talisman in time before dying under the heavenly blade, that in turn soon turned its attention towards the demon beast that had barely managed to get back up before being knocked back into the ground by the terrifying heavenly blade.

BOOOM-!

Of course, seeing the attack ahead of time, the demon beast was able to put up a proper defense allowing it to resist the heavenly blade before turning around to escape. Understanding from a single exchange just how terrifying the heavenly blade.

As for Xuan Hao himself? The second he realized the one who had taken the attack of heavenly blade for him was the demon beast that had chased him a few days earlier, he turned tail and escaped in the direction of the Verdant Abyss’s borders as fast as possible. Understanding very well that for the demon beast to end up in that kind of situation, someone had to have knocked it flying first... And this person could only be the Land Creation Realm cultivator he had dumped the demon beast on top of!

Rumble~!

Indeed, just as he had begun to escape, a familiar divine sense he had only felt once before swept past him before a figure appeared in the distance flying directly towards the demon beast.

Even without getting a clear look with his divine sense, he understood from a glance that this person was none other than the Land Creation Realm cultivator he had angered only a few days ago.

From how everything had played out, it looked like the battle between him and the demon beast had ended up dragging the two of them further away from the core of the Verdant Abyss.

But...

With my speed, it should have been impossible for them to catch up with me... Unless... They encountered some kind of spatial anomaly during their battle that just so happened to drag them right next to where I was clashing with the heavenly blade...?

But a Spatial anomaly inside the Verdant Abyss should be related to the spatial formation to some extent. Meaning there might be something wrong with the spatial formation? Or maybe this is normal, but I just don’t know about it...

Narrowing both his eyes as his mind went into overdrive trying to figure out what could have caused those two to show up right next to him, he ultimately couldn’t conclude what had happened. Only able to shake his head and consider it a happy accident.

After all, now that those two were present and even drawing the attention of the heavenly blade away from him, he was free to escape without being forced to use the Dao of Space to get himself thrown back into the core region of the Verdant Abyss.

”YOU! DON’T THINK YOU CAN JUST RUN AWAY!”

However, as fate would have it, the Land Creation Realm cultivator who spotted him when his divine sense had swept through the surroundings. Didn’t seem that keen on allowing him to escape again-

Swish-!

Throwing out what looked like a small metal ball that quickly caught up to him before unfurling into a large metal sheet that was covered in countless formation symbols.

”A trapping formation...”

Bang!

Barely muttering a few words to himself upon seeing the countless formation symbols etched into the metal sheet now covering the sky above him, Xuan Hao found himself hitting an invisible wall the next second. Unable to continue escaping...
