Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Returning to his room after everything else had been sorted out, Xuan Hao informed his disciples and Feng Chen that he would be unreachable for the foreseeable future, as he had no idea how long it would take him to comprehend the Dao of alchemy this time around.

Just in case it ended up taking a long time, he made sure to inform Feng Chen and his disciples so they wouldn’t end up worrying in case he ended up in deep mediation for the next few months.

After all, even if the opportunity from the system might only last for a short time, he was fully intent on making full use of the opportunity to try and comprehend the Dao of Alchemy to the Large Success Realm and possibly even the Realm of Perfection if there was a chance, something that would undoubtedly end up with him staying in his cultivation room for an extended period of time.

Luckily, the current Star Shattering Sect didn’t really require his personal interference at the time, as everything was developing well with the Star Shattering Sect recently gaining control over several important resources in the now chaotic region of the Fallen Sky Empire.

On positive thing that had come from the Star Shattering Sect being viewed with cation even by the Blue Sea Empire was the fact that none of the resource location they had taken control of outside of the sect’s territory were threatened or attacked by other empires who might have been eyeing the beforehand.

The main negative was that the Star Shattering Sect couldn’t continue expanding into the chaotic region at the moment, as it would be a bit overboard for a hidden ancient sect to suddenly make a move to control the resources of an entire empire. Especially considering that the size of the Sky Empire was several times the size of the current Star Shattering Sect when it came to the territory they controlled.

At the very least, at the moment, the Star Shattering Sect’s resource needs could be met with relative ease and should only start running into problems when the general realm of the elders broke through to the Soul Ascension Realm.

For now, that was still far off in the future, but it was always a good thing to plan ahead, as the future would soon enough become the present.

The plan that Xuan Hao could come up with in that regard was to raise the high-end power of the sect to the level of a major power as described by the system, as that way, it wouldn’t matter if the Blue Sea Empire viewed the Star Shattering Sect as an ancient hidden sect or not, as it would have more than enough strength to stand on its own!

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao soon turned his attention towards the system panel that had already appeared in front of him asking if he wanted to redeem the last reward from the recently completed alchemy hall sect quest.

Yes!

Without a second thought, Xuan Hao smiled to himself as he redeemed the reward. Soon enough, causing a massive flood of information to surge forward before colliding with his soul and starting to merge with it.

Different from the enlightenment space that he used to comprehend other Daos, advancing the Dao of Alchemy this time around was a bit different, as it mainly relied on helping him understand the process creating and combining different heavenly and earthly materials to create things like pills and potions.

As a result, the comprehension of how to utilize all kinds of heavenly and earthly materials and the experience of creating countless pills and potions far above the current level he was capable of, propelled his comprehension of the Dao of Alchemy forward at a terrifying pace far surpassing any time he had spent inside the enlightenment space in the past.

Boom!

In less than an hour, his Dao of Alchemy directly managed to breakthrough from the Small Success Realm to the Large Success Realm. Although, because there wasn’t a Saint Realm Alchemist present to guide him towards reaching the Saint Realm, he wasn’t able to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm and was still in the Grandmaster Realm.

Of course, the difference between a Grandmaster Realm Alchemist who was at the Small Success Realm in the Dao of Alchemy and one who had reached the Large Success Realm was like the difference between heaven and earth, as the other party could be said to have already taken the first major step towards reaching the Saint Realm.

From what he understood about the Grandmaster Realm, both in alchemy and other professions, it could be divided up into three minor realms.

The Junior Grandmaster Realm, someone who had just comprehended a Dao like the Dao of Alchemy to the Elementary Realm and stepped into the Grandmaster Realm.

The Senior Grandmaster Realm, someone who had comprehended it to the Small Success Realm.

Finally, the realm he had just broken through to, the Pinnacle Grandmaster Realm.

Following the Pinnacle Grandmaster Realm was still the Pseudo Saint Realm, but that would normally be impossible to reach under normal circumstances, as it required one to gain the inheritance of someone in the Saint Realm.

For example, he had only managed to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm in the Dao of Blacksmithing because he had gained the inheritance Gong Cheng back in the Blue Shore Kingdom due to the other party feeling grateful towards him and Yi Min for helping him breakthrough to the Saint Realm.

Without finding the inheritance of a Saint Realm Alchemist, it would be impossible for him to reach the Pseudo Saint Realm in alchemy, and he would have to pave his own path towards the Realm of Perfection. Different from his Dao of Blacksmithing that seemed to have a rather clear path towards reaching the Saint Realm due to the inheritance from Gong Cheng.

Of course, it didn’t mean that it would be easy for him to reach the Saint Realm and reach the Realm of Perfection in the Dao of Blacksmithing, it just meant that he would have an easier time and wouldn’t encounter as many bottlenecks as he would do while comprehending the Dao of Alchemy.

Whoosh~

Unaffected by this breakthrough, Xuan Hao continued pushing forward with the assistance of the large influx of information and memories related to the Dao of Alchemy, as the space around him started to tremble under the terrifying presence created by the presence of the Dao of Alchemy that had gathered around him at this point of time as a result of his rapid improvement in the Dao of Alchemy.

Even though he could already feel that it was clear that the assistance from the system wouldn’t be able to help him reach the reach the Realm of Perfection and step into the Saint Realm, he still continued to improve his Dao of Alchemy. Fully Intend on pushing it as far as possible before the assistance from the system came to an end.

Like this, another three hours quickly flew by, as the assistance from the system came to an end.

Even then, Xuan Hao didn’t stand up immediately and instead continued his comprehension of the Dao of Alchemy, while at the same time sorting through the massive amount of information regarding the Dao of Alchemy that had essentially been stuffed into his head by the system this time around.

Not just because the information would be useful when it came to teaching Qing Yi, Chun Hua and any future disciples who might show an interest in the Dao of Alchemy, but also because there were several powerful techniques inside the memories that didn’t seem the slightest bit related to alchemy and crafting pills or potions.

Instead, this information seemed to be on how to use the Dao of Alchemy to fight, something Xuan Hao had never seen before, as most alchemists never participated in combat if possible and if they did, they would almost certainly be overwhelmed by anyone at a similar level of strength. Not much different from blacksmiths or other Daos related to professions

Are alchemists perhaps different when they reach the Saint Realm?

This thought was not so much because he doubted the fighting ability of alchemists below the Saint Realm, but more so because he noticed that all of the fighting methods that had been imprinted in his soul seemed to require someone to reach the Saint Realm first.

Only a few of them could barely be executed at the Grandmaster Realm, with most of those being at the Pinnacle of the Grandmaster Realm.

Feeling more curious than ever about the Saint Realm, Xuan Hao could not help wondering if he should pay another visit to Gong Cheng and try to get some information out of him related to the Saint Realm, but then again, the other party didn’t seem to have much information on the Saint Realm either and had only recently broken through to the realm out of sheer luck…
