Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

After he finished guiding his two disciples in alchemy, Chun Hua quickly excused herself before running off. Heading straight back towards the direction of her own alchemy room to test out some of the new things she had learnt, while also hoping to make use of the opportunity to break through the barrier to the Master Realm and officially step into that realm and be considered among the senior figures of the sect in terms of alchemy.

Even though the number of Master Realm Alchemist in the sect could be counted on a single hand and she could already be considered a terrifying genius in terms of alchemy. Not lacking behind most of the alchemy elders of the sect, she still felt she was lacking when comparing herself to someone like Qing Yi, who was obviously much younger than herself.

The fact that she had started learning alchemy at a latter date didn’t matter to her, as she wanted to at the very least stand in the same realm as Qing Yi as a Master Alchemist.

Unfortunately for Chun Hua, even if she broke through to the Master Realm, it was likely that Qing Yi would soon break through to the Grandmaster Realm. Once again leaving her behind.

Although… Considering that it became more and more difficult to advance the further one went, it would only be a matter of time before Chun Hua broke through to the same realm that Qing Yi was on.

Well… As long as she kept her current enthusiasm regarding alchemy intact…

Wait! Qing Yi is about to breakthrough to the Grandmaster Realm! Am I not at the Grandmaster Realm in terms of alchemy!? Will I have to breakthrough the Pseudo Saint Realm in alchemy before she breaks through to the Grandmaster Realm!?

Suddenly realizing something he hadn’t realized earlier, Xuan Hao found out that he needed to improve his own alchemy so as to not get overtaken by his own disciple.

The fact that he had reached the Pseudo Saint Realm in Blacksmithing had made him lower his guard and forget that he still needed to improve his alchemy to prevent any emergency quests from the system. After all, those quests gave him nothing in return and only threatened him.

”But… To improve my comprehension of the Dao of Alchemy and reach the Pseudo Saint Realm, I will at least have to raise the Dao of Alchemy to the Large Success Realm and-”

”Master? Is something wrong?”

Lost in his own thoughts for a moment as he muttered something to himself, Xuan Hao was suddenly caught off guard as he heard Qing Yi calling out to him from the side with a somewhat worried expression on her face.

”Nothing is wrong, I just thought about something regarding your junior sister. After all, she might be able to break through the Master Realm and become a Master Alchemist in a few days.”

”I see… Then, if you will excuse me, master, I will review what you taught me.” Pondering over something for a brief moment, Qing Yi soon nodded her head as she said this before focusing her attention back on a few notes she had written down while he had taught her and Chun Hua.

”Then I won’t bother you any more while you focus on absorbing what you can from earlier.” Smiling gently as he said this, Xuan Hao didn’t spend any more time inside his first disciple’s alchemy room, as he quickly left the new main hall of the alchemy hall and headed back in the direction of the Seventh Star Peak.

Moving at a relatively slow pace as he pondered over the matter of having to break through to the Pseudo Saint Realm in Alchemy before his first disciple managed to reach the Grandmaster Realm in Alchemy.

Of course, he could find ways to subtly suppress or prevent her from studying alchemy by sending her out of the sect for learning experiences, but that wouldn’t be good considering that she seemed solely focused on comprehending the Dao of Alchemy and reaching the Grandmaster Realm at the moment.

The main culprit behind this sudden drive to reach the Grandmaster Realm and officially step into the Realm of a Grandmaster Alchemist came from the recent breakthrough of Bai Ning, as his strength just after reaching the Domain Lord Realm already far surpassed hers even though his cultivation realm was far weaker than hers.

The reason for that being Bai Ning had genuinely comprehended a Dao, while she was still in the domain realm. The qualitive difference made it so that it was difficult for her to defeat Bai Ning, even though the Dao of Blacksmithing wasn’t really the best in terms of fighting…

”Looks like I will have to rely on the system quest if I want to have hope of becoming a Pseudo Saint Realm Alchemist before Qing Yi breaks through to the Grandmaster Realm…” Muttering this to himself as he went over all kinds of different scenarios that would help improve his Dao of Alchemy, Xuan Hao ultimately focused his gaze towards a recently acquired quest that seemed to prove the most useful in his hope of surpassing the Grandmaster Realm before Qing Yi broke through to the realm.

[Sect Quest: Establish a Proper Alchemy Hall] [Alchemy Hall Disciples (Below Master Realm): 267/500] [Alchemy Hall Elders (Master Realm): 3/10] [Alchemy Hall Elders (Grandmaster Realm): 0/1] [Reward: Dao of Alchemy Comprehension, Alchemy Recipes, Spiritual Herbs] Although the quest could be said to be difficult, it wasn’t impossible.

The Grandmaster Realm Alchemist Elder could be Pei Yang, if he personally went over and asked. Giving him the position of alchemy hall elder and officially making him part of the sect instead of the current guest elder status he had attached to him.

At the same time, Chun Hua would soon provide one more Master Realm Alchemist, while the rest would be relatively easy to raise if he personally interfered and helped those struggling elders just a single step away from the Master Realm take the final step.

As for the number of disciples that needed to join… That was even more simple given that he could use both his own status and Pei Yang’s status in the sect to attract the required disciples to sell themselves off to the alchemist hall.
