Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

As the group of young cultivators arrived at the competition ground, the competition itself was already starting to begin, as the different participants who had qualified had arrived and were waiting for Elder Song to officially announce the start of the competition.

Of course, outside of Elder Song behind the main focus as he began moving towards the center of the massive stone platform that the competition would be taking place on top of, a large portion of the people present also glanced in the direction of the person seated at the highest location together with a few other elders of the Star shattering Sect.

From just a glance, it was obvious that this person was a true senior figure in the Star Shattering Sect, who had come to observe the competition that was going to take place.

The fact that he remained uninterested in the situation taking place below him made this even more obvious, as he was the only person who was calmly meditating with his eyes closed while everyone else had their attention fully focused on the competition.

Most importantly, the Domain Lord Realm cultivators present could clearly feel an extremely terrifying pressure that seemed to be subconsciously emanating from this senior figure. Making them unable to look directly at him and forcing some of the weaker Domain Lord Realm cultivators to hastily retract their divine sense, as they felt their souls being directly affected by this terrifying pressure.

Although it was only for a brief moment before the pressure disappeared, it still caused the expression on the faces of the Domain Lord Realm cultivators who had come along with the group of youngsters from the nearby powers to turn pale.

Celestial Immortal Realm! This is definitely someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm!

This was the single thought on their mind, as they had no other way to explain the terrifying sense of pressure they had felt seconds earlier. Especially considering that with their strength, they did have a chance to meet some of the Dao Seed Realm cultivators of the Blue Sea Empire when they had come to help deal with the demonic cultivators over the past few years.

Even if only for a brief moment, they understood that there was some kind of fundamental difference between the senior figure of the Star Shattering Sect and those Dao Seed Realm cultivators they had encountered in the past. Only able to guess that the senior figure from the Star Shattering Sect was someone who had surpassed the Earth Immortal Realm (Dao Seed Realm). Meaning that he could only be someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm in their eyes.

Not to mention, along with the fact that the Blue Sea Empire seemed cautious of the Blue Sea Empire and did their best to avoid their territory, if possible, it was rather easy to believe that the senior figure from the Star Shattering Sect was someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm.

After all, only someone with that level of strength had the ability to force a terrifying empire like the Blue Sea Empire to treat them with the level of caution they had.

…

Hehe, looks like the little intimidation brought by subtly releasing my dao domain worked perfectly, those people definitely believe I’m someone at the Celestial Immortal Realm!

At the same time that the group of Domain Lord Realm cultivators were shivering in fear following the realization that they were in the presence of a revered ’Celestial Immortal Realm’ Elder, Xuan Hao was silently smiling to himself as his divine sense picked up all of their actions following his little intimidation earlier.

From the looks of things, everything had worked out perfectly and the group of Domain Lord Realm cultivators who had shown up with the purpose of trying to gauge the Star Shattering Sect’s strength had all come to believe that it had the presence of someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Even though this was not the Blue Sea Empire directly trying to investigate the situation and trying to gauge the sect’s true strength, the news of what had just happened would undoubtedly spread to the higher ups of the Blue Sea Empire and force them to act even more cautiously when dealing with the Star Shattering Sect in the future. Exactly what Xuan Hao and Elder Song wanted to happen.

After all, the main goal of the Star Shattering Sect at the moment was to develop to a level where it could stand against large powers like the Blue Sea Empire on its own… And for that, it needed time.

Even if the current situation of the continent was rather unstable due to the demonic cultivators attacking across the entire continent at the same time, it had still not escalated to a level where those pinnacle powers in the core regions of the continent fought the demonic cultivators directly.

At the moment, they were still using various smaller kingdoms and empires as the battleground between them and the demonic cultivator. Ultimately limiting the cultivation of those involved to generally be around the Soul Ascension Realm and below, with only a few important battlegrounds with stronger cultivators appearing rather sparsely.

For now, the Blue Sea Empire didn’t have such a battleground present in their territory and their Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators should mostly be busy observing the movements of the demonic cultivators or preparing themselves for the inevitable battle that would be taking place in the future.

At this kind of time, the Blue Sea Empire would definitely not allow a new power to rise inside of what it considered to be its territorial borders and would have crushed the Star Shattering Sect the moment it began growing to a level where it could threaten the empire’s influence.

The identity of a hidden ancient sect was mainly created for this purpose, to allow the Star Shattering Sect’s true strength to remain a mystery. Allowing it to grow without having to worry about the Blue Sea Empire’s Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestors appearing to destroy it before it ended up becoming a threat to their power.

Not just the Blue Sea Empire, but Xuan Hao, Elder Song and the rest of the elders who knew about this plan all understood that the rest of the powers in the central region of the continent wouldn’t allow another power to rise either, as it would ultimately also end up influencing them in the future.

The biggest indicator that these powers would move to suppress the Blue Sea Empire coming from the fact that these major powers had already banded together to conceal the existence of the Saint Realm and tried their best in killing anyone who reached the realm outside of their empires or were close to reaching the realm but not aligned with any of the major powers.

An example of this being Gong Cheng, who had been chased to the edge of the continent by these major powers before he had managed to successfully break through the Saint Realm and archived a level of power that was beyond what someone cultivating according to the Earth Immortal Realm could reach.

Though that old man was not comparable to the Celestial Immortal Realm, he was definitely beyond the Earth Immortal Realm and would likely end up reaching a level of strength comparable to the Celestial Immortal Realm in the not too far future.

At that level of strength, along with his skill as a Saint Realm Blacksmith, he definitely had the strength to threaten the different major powers in the core region of the continent… And that was without even considering any kind of special abilities one might gain after reaching the Saint Realm in a specific profession…

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao could not help glancing towards his own status for a moment.

Not only advancing his Dao of Formations, but also using it to form another two layers around his dao lotus, becoming stronger in the process.

Of course, one could not forget the fact that his identity had also changed from a Grand Elder of the Sect to an Ancestor of the Sect, though, this didn’t have much to do with him and more so had to do with Elder Song, who was the one behind this change in identity of his.

To be honest, he didn’t even notice he had changed from a grand elder to an ancestor before he happened to glance over his status and notice the change that had unknowingly taken place without his knowledge.

As for his demon beasts… They were both progressing well over the past year, the rabbit demon beast even having taken the first step towards reaching the Sixth Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm. Now standing at the Peak of the Fifth Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm.

If he wasn’t wrong, Xuan Hao guessed that the rabbit demon beast would most likely be the first among his two demon beasts to break through to the Dao Seed Realm.

Although… He didn’t entirely rule out the little winged tiger, as it seemed to have some rather strange luck and might somehow manage to overtake the rabbit demon beast that was an entire three minor realms ahead of it in terms of strength.

As long as it doesn’t end up consuming another powerful demonic cultivator by accident…

Shaking his head as he thought about how the winged lion demon beast had managed to reach the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm, Xuan Hao turned his attention away from the status and focused his attention back on the competition that had just begun following a short speech from Elder Song.
