Facing an Ancient God for a Year

Chapter 2357: Chapter 2352: Where Are the Pillars

Where do the world pillars actually stand?

This is a question Fu Qian often wants to ask when faced with many legendary stories.

The transcendent can avoid speaking of science, but must also speak of reason.

It’s hard to imagine that the numerous superior beings that I’ve encountered, together with their powers full of concepts and symbols, are only effective on this little planet.

Take the most common example: the sun and moon.

The Unbearable Wheel, although seemingly cleanly dead, surely shouldn’t be just a simple large fireball, but rather, a symbol of concepts like light.

As for the moon, not to mention the Red Moon hanging outside, after all, it’s likely being forced into play.

The mere means previously displayed by the Witch are already terrifying, akin to the universe’s dark side.

Not to mention the chilling display of the First Generation Dark Moon during the Long Night.

Specifically about things like the ”Abandoned Prison,” Fu Qian thinks it’s the same principle.

The exact location might be unclear for now, but in the entire supernatural system, they seem like the ultimate symbols of certain concepts, even more so than the superior beings.

From the title of Abandonment King, one can feel it at first glance.

Not to mention the abyss, as personally verified by the warehouse, which exists as a world pillar.

Under such premises, the key question arises.

The superior beings can be understood as coming together due to grudges and vendettas, and eventually after the Long Night, some hide behind barriers, while others wander outside.

What’s the reason these ultimate symbols involving the universe’s primal forces all happen to gather on this small planet?

On the one hand, I’ve been riding the waves in the business world for some time and haven’t found any precise locations for these things.

On the other hand, they can be thought of as the ultimate condensation of certain powers, wouldn’t gathering so many cause some conflicts?

Overall, upon reflection, it becomes clear this setup is more favored by providence than theories like geocentrism.

What if not inside the barrier? These entities, due to their transcendent attributes, lack concepts like spatial coordinates, so they’re naturally free from the restraint of barriers?

At first glance, it sounds plausible, but even if the assumption is true, one faces the problem—being free from barrier isolation also means being free from barrier protection.

Under such circumstances, why do Mother of the Gospel and others go to such lengths to get inside the barrier?

...

As an outsider who recently ”synchronized” with the time, Fu Qian still doesn’t fully understand the specific conflicts of the superior beings.

But during this period of interaction, it’s clear that they all know how to seek benefit and avoid harm, and even their calculations are quite crafty.

For such a group of characters, there must be a reason to fight to the death?

When first recognizing this doubt, one easily has some instinctive responses, like perhaps the Bookstore World might be small, but it contains something very important to the superior beings.

The effort to break the barrier is also for this, the doomsday is just incidental.

Fu Qian doesn’t think this is mere hypothesis, not to forget the verified actions, including the Prism of Radiant Transformation’s attempt to seize the abyss, and Lord Stomach’s drooling over Paradise...

Even considering Lord Stomach’s powers and Paradise’s heavenly symbolism, one can clearly sense the connections.

It seems one can further infer that superior beings not only covet but also favor these things, and consuming similar powers leads to super-evolution.

Overall, during the ongoing exploration, this idea seems to be becoming increasingly valid.

But once the previous conclusion is introduced at this point, a paradox seems to appear suddenly—

If the objects coveted by the superior beings are already transcendent to the concept of barriers, what significance does this small planet hold for them?

It’s one thing for Gods not to love mankind, but they wouldn’t ignore their own safety and enjoy creating doomsday without reason?

The problem appears to have reached a stalemate, if one doesn’t want to accept the notion that all these powers’ cores merely happened to gather inside the barrier due to various circumstances, is there any alternative explanation?

Fu Qian glanced at the Emissary’s Mask in his hand and directly put it on his face.

...

The sun was shining brightly, clearly synchronization remained effective, and it was obviously his laboratory.

After feeling the peace of the years, Fu Qian didn’t even stand up but directly turned the ring on his hand once more.

Abandoned Prison.

It turns out, the Mechanical Tyrant’s Fist personally designed by the Abandonment King was quite stable, in the blink of an eye it had already returned.

”So this time it didn’t go through the warehouse, but directly came from the Academy... almost ruling out the possibility that the former’s status was overly transcendent, making it easier to connect to these places.”

Fu Qian nodded slightly, having come to a quick conclusion, ruling out one possible far-fetched explanation.

Can only accept that possibility?

Due to the weight of history and certain unknown secrets, over long years too many things converged under the barrier in the Bookstore World, making it a prosperous place desired by cosmic predators.

Honestly, it’s logically plausible, but in terms of intuition, Fu Qian still doesn’t quite like this conclusion.

Unless one day a more beautiful explanation is found, there’s no rush to conclude this project.

Of course, there’s no need to stubbornly hold onto it without meaning.

While sensing the regeneration progress, Fu Qian casually threw the umbilical cord around his neck.

Actually, without extra actions, simply carrying the umbilical cord is effective, yet Fu Qian still felt the old style was quite domineering.

Why specifically bring the Tangled Umbilical Cord?

This actually lacks much theoretical support, purely a bug-cataloging attempt.

Now being a mechanically remade Abandonment King and having the umbilical cord, an automatic claim of identity as Ancient Supremes?

Fu Qian is quite interested in whether Abandoned Prison would have any special reaction in such situations—it seems there is indeed.

Extending his hand, Fu Qian grabbed a handful of sand from the ground.

This small, free-to-try test revealed some changes faintly occurring from before.

...

Grains glimmer, angular and smooth.

If unaware of the source, honestly, the appearance of these molten sands underfoot is quite nice.

Yet once considering the Lost Wanderers of the past, one can still feel the blood and tears reflected within.

To combat the fear of the Long Night, even discarding the ”self,” merely to leave behind a living corpse.

Unfortunately, the result was a thousand years of scorching ruin, until now—even seeming to truly contain blood.

Feeling that special texture, Fu Qian once again scattered them by his feet.

As the sand flew, it unexpectedly reflected a familiar scarlet glow.
