Death Game: Starting as a Trickster, Pretending to Be a God

Chapter 157: Game Theory Lesson

After six portions of food consecutively landed in the Shadow-Type Pseudohumanʼs designated area, the total amount it had to consume became double that of other zones!

Though lacking the energy to create more obstacles to prevent food from entering its territory, Robin didnʼt simply wait for death either.

Seated behind her wall, Robin had received all the Flavor Papers from Lin Yu and began her own exchanges! With Lin Yuʼs support, she now held 60 Flavor Papers, which she exchanged in three batches for 3 food portions!

Then...

Robin delivered these three portions into Pitian and White Draceʼs designated areas respectively! Her chosen targets were strategic - precisely Phantom and Mosin-Nagant who were also on the offensive.

Their teammates attempted to intervene but reacted too late. After all, Robinʼs methods were utterly unpredictable! She drew a ”blue hole” on the table, pushed the food through, then painted two ”orange holes” in midair...

The food then flew in incomprehensible parabolic trajectories directly into the names. The speed surpassed even Phantomʼs slingshot attacks!

Yet despite this...

The Shadow-Type Pseudohuman still had the highest quantity of Flavor Paper-exchanged food on its field!

Both Pitian and White Draceʼs areas only contained food worth ”40 sheets” of Flavor Papers, while the Shadow-Type Pseudohumanʼs zone held nearly 90 sheets worth. Though originally the fastest, the Shadow-Type Pseudohuman now trailed behind in progress - though not by much.
Mosin-Nagant and Phantom had exhausted their support opportunities, both wisely returning their remaining Flavor Papers to teammates. Phantom, having only one ally, simply tossed his share to Fish. Mosin-Nagant equally divided his between Gambler Li Hua and Radish.

The battlefield temporarily quieted, with no daring to make reckless moves.

After all, Pitian and White Draceʼs speeds had equalized again, though Pitian held a slight lead. Thus the opposing groups transitioned from collaborators back to competitors.

Li Hua and Radish collectively held ”46 sheets” of Flavor Papers, while Fish retained ”52 sheets”. This six-sheet difference could potentially reverse Pitianʼs marginal lead in consumption speed.

Most crucially...

Though currently last, Lin Yu still possessed the most Flavor Papers - a staggering 58 sheets!

In other words...

The three contestantsʼ progress in this Land of Certain Death eating competition inversely correlated with their supportersʼ Flavor Paper quantities. In a sense, this represented the most ”balanced” scenario possible.

Especially among the leading groups - their three and two members sat intermingled. Preventing name-based Support while forbidden from direct attacks created near-impossible conditions for interference.

Thus none dared act rashly.

Yet it was Lin Yu who shattered the stillness.

The remnants of his ”geometric wall” suddenly collapsed spectacularly. Emerging from the ruins, Lin Yu surveyed the tense, mutually suspicious circle with a sigh.

”What a tedious sight. Everyoneʼs being far too cautious...”

Producing his Flavor Papers, he declared: ”I didnʼt teach you how to use these just for mental arithmetic!”

Fish protested: ”I wasnʼt calculating!”

Lin Yu smirked: ”Not you, darling. I meant the others - especially those two from Haicheng, practically burning brain cells with calculations.”

His gaze settled on Gambler Li Hua and Magician Phantom.

”The Gambler doesnʼt gamble, the Magician performs no magic - how disappointing.”

”Then what would you have us do?” Li Hua asked quietly.

”Place an epic wager! Stage a spectacular show!”

Grinning, Lin Yu gathered all his Flavor Papers and raised them high.

Then—

He scattered them violently!

”Swish—!”

”I choose to exchange all 58 Flavor Papers for food—”

”Letʼs gamble on what delicacy appears!”

The pale yellow papers fluttered like butterflies across the ten-thousand-meter-high sky, transforming into glowing motes as they descended, carrying Lin Yuʼs audacious declaration upward.

Old Man Radish gasped: ”This... this is too reckless!”

Everyone remembered the Flavor Paper rule - higher quantities increased chances of beneficial food effects!

Why would Fluoxetine exchange everything at once?!

This wasted a Support opportunity!

Mosin-Nagant and Fish looked equally perplexed. Only Phantom grasped it first: ”This is... deterrence.”

Li Hua stared intently at Lin Yu: ”State your terms!”

A fist-sized cupcake descended from the sky into Lin Yuʼs grasp - surprisingly petite compared to previous offerings.

Seeing their comprehension, Lin Yu laughed uproariously.

”Pretend our group doesnʼt exist - just trip each other up.”

”Whoever targets me gets this cupcake force-fed to their contestant.”

Admittedly...

Food exchanged for nearly 60 Flavor Papers might possess beneficial effects.

But its actual appearance made everyone hesitant to call the bluff.

What if it didnʼt?

Or if the benefits couldnʼt offset the food quantity?

Nearly 60 portions would devastate any teamʼs current standing.

Exchanging 58 sheets without splitting them seemed to waste a Support chance, yet...

Reducing his own options actually amplified pressure on Li Hua and Phantom.

”A simple game theory lesson, my dear friends.”

Lin Yu smiled, brandishing his cupcake, having grasped the most crucial truth in games—

The power to flip the table.

”Now, please perform and slaughter each other as I desire.”

”Because beyond winning this round, I most want to see... your upper limits!”
