Death Game: Starting as a Trickster, Pretending to Be a God

Chapter 152: The Situation Unravels, A Chance to Reinforce

A huge pile of delicacies fell onto the ground, quickly stacking up like a small mountain.

Then...

The rain of delicacies stopped.

Within each personʼs area, countless amounts of food were distributed—much larger than the people standing on the field.

The three players who already understood the rules were stunned for just a moment before they began to eat furiously.

The white werewolf, White Drace, was the first to react. He shouted loudly and pounced onto the ground, then began shoving the meat into his mouth at lightning speed.

He didn’t even need to chew much;he could swallow the meat directly.

“Glug!”

Next to White Drace, the nearest small food mountain quickly developed a gap and then collapsed.

But...
Even though White was very fast, his speed was still slightly inferior to Pitian beside him!

This muscular Rakshasa demon with four arms grabbed food with all four hands, then regardless of what was in his hands, he squeezed and compressed it into a very compact little ball before popping it into his mouth like a pill. With a swallow, the food went straight into his stomach.

Radish felt quite pleased watching this.

“He really can eat. He looks like the best eater here.”

Mosin-Nagant also nodded.

Following Li Hua’s lead was definitely the right call!

At this moment, the slowest one on the field was the Shadow-Type Pseudohuman.

This guy hadn’t even started eating yet.

It just raised its long arms and gathered the several small piles of food around it, stacking them again into an even bigger little mountain, completely without making any move to eat.

Lin Yu watched this with some concern.

This thing... could it be that it doesn’t have the ability to eat?

After all, it seemed to be an artificial lifeform.

However, he still kept his outward composure, pretending to be interested as he looked toward Robin.

“I say... why did you choose this guy?”

Lin Yu rested his chin on one hand and started a conversation with Robin.

Robin pursed her lips. “Didn’t you pick it too?”

“Yeah, so I want to hear your reason.”

Lin Yu smiled lightly.

Robin looked at Lin Yu suspiciously. “You didn’t just pick it because you saw me pick it, did you?”

“That’s hard to say.”

Lin Yu answered ambiguously.

Robin thought for a moment, then said, “Because although I’ve never seen a werewolf with such strong bloodline or a living Rakshasa before, I really have seen this ‘Shadow-Type Pseudohuman’...

“Not long after I joined this game, I encountered it in the ‘Wicked City’ dungeon.”

“Or one of its kind.”

“At that time, this thing had a scarier name... Soul-Devouring Horror Shadow.”

Robin paused, as if still haunted by the memory. “I don’t think anything can kill it, not even the Rakshasa or the white werewolf.”

She fiddled with the hem of her clothes.

It sounded like an extremely bad memory, a real psychological shadow.

Lin Yu understood immediately.

“I see... but it’s very strong in combat, how about eating?”

Hearing Lin Yu’s question, Robin sized up Pitian and White Drace’s eating speed.

“Hmm, if these two guys can only eat at this level...”

“They will lose.”

Robin’s tone was very certain.

This young girl was extremely powerful, but Lin Yu knew she was not a domineering type.

So when she spoke so decisively, she must have full confidence.

“So certain, why?”

Lin Yu asked, and Robin nodded.

“The reason is because I have seen its way of ‘attacking’ or rather ‘killing’...”

After Robin finished speaking...

Suddenly, that tall, slender black figure stopped moving the food piles.

Instead, the roughly shaped mouth on its head, as if just a slight indentation, suddenly cracked open.

Its head deformed weirdly, the mouth growing larger and stretching in an unnatural way...

Then, that funnel-shaped mouth flipped downward toward the piled food.

In the next instant, its mouth snapped shut quickly.

Everyone felt the screen flash, and it had already returned to its normal appearance.

The food on the ground had completely disappeared.

This once-called “Soul-Devouring Horror Shadow” Shadow-Type Pseudohuman...

Had eaten one-third of the food in its area with just one bite.

Although the other two also ate fast, and they stuffed a pile of delicacies while the Shadow-Type Pseudohuman was methodically piling food, they seemed to have eaten at least one-tenth of the total amount.

But the difference in progress and speed... was undeniably huge.

Not only that, seeing such a visually shocking scene, the players who voted for White Drace and Pitian also changed their expressions drastically.

Without a doubt, this one bite from the Shadow-Type Pseudohuman gave them a strong sense of crisis.

This round had divided players into three camps, and only one camp was destined to win.

When such a very “unbalanced” situation appeared, everyone would instinctively want to use the “rights” they held.

That meant each person’s “three” support opportunities.

Especially since the distribution of “support rights” outside the field was already unbalanced.

The group supporting Pitian had one more person than the other two groups.

They had Radish, Li Hua, and Mosin-Nagant—three people!

Each had three “support items” chances.

So, in other words...

Pitian’s supporters had three more support opportunities than the others.

Almost everyone had realized this from just now.

So at this moment, Li Hua spoke in a low voice.

“Mr. Radish, I think we can use one support chance first.”

“Do you have any [items] that could help the situation over there?”

Facing Li Hua’s question, Radish thought for a moment and showed a troubled expression.

“I do have something, but... I’m not sure how much it will help!”

If this were a direct battle, it would be easy to handle, but this was originally a “big eater competition.”

There was no direct confrontation between the players!

Octopus Ka took this opportunity to emphasize again.

“Friendly reminder, there is a barrier personally set by the God of Judgement between the railings... so it’s very difficult to cross the railings to attack.”

Octopus Ka said with a smile.

Li Hua looked at Radish and said, “It doesn’t matter, we have more support chances anyway;we can afford trial and error!”

Mosin-Nagant also nodded: “Let’s give it a try!”

Old Radish was persuaded and took out a bottle of potion from his bosom.

“This... is a ‘Physical Enhancement Potion’!”

“It should boost his strength, speed, and constitution... Although I don’t have any potion to increase his appetite, if these stats improve, his appetite and eating speed should also increase, right?”
