Chapter 153: Rather Than Improving Yourself, Slander Others

With both teammatesʼ approval, Radish used this [Support] opportunity.

He inserted the potion into the name ”Vitian” floating before him.

The octopus Ka lazily announced:

”Consuming one [Support] opportunity!”

The potion then entered the arena, quickly landing before Vitian.

Vitian, who had been diligently eating, noticed the suddenly appearing potion and glanced over.

In that instant, Vitian immediately understood the potionʼs effects.

Combined with the rules explained earlier by the voice from above, Vitian quickly realized:

This was a support item sent by his ”audience.”

Vitian directly grabbed the potion and downed it in one gulp!
Immediately, he felt his body brimming with strength!

”Roar!”

Vitianʼs already rough and bulky muscles swelled even larger.

With a mighty roar, he pounced on the food at twice his previous speed, devouring everything in sight.

Seeing Vitianʼs enhanced performance after receiving [Support], the werewolf White Drace supported by Phantom and Fish immediately fell to last place.

Fish grew visibly anxious.

”Tch... falling behind now, little wolf pup!”

”Youʼre a werewolf yet you canʼt even out-eat others?”

Fish complained irritably, turning to Phantom.

”Hey, you bastard magician from the [Free Alliance], donʼt you have any useful support items?”

Phantom spread his hands.

”Unfortunately, you rude little girl from the [Marauders], I donʼt typically carry physique-enhancing potions.”

Li Hua couldnʼt help a disdainful chuckle.

”He really wouldnʼt have such potions. Just drag him into melee combat... and he surrenders immediately.”

Ignoring Li Huaʼs mockery, Phantom waved his hand and continued:

”However... I do have these.”

He produced a box of digestive tablets.

Fish facepalmed in exasperation: ”While not completely irrelevant, these are utterly useless here!”

”Why would you even carry these?! When would these ever be useful?!”

Phantom shrugged helplessly: ”Not my choice - random reward from previous dungeons. As you said, completely useless, so I couldnʼt even sell them.”

Fish spat in disgust.

”Useless trash!”

Then she suddenly slapped herself hard.

”Iʼm the useless one here! Canʼt even think of what [Support Item] to use now!”

Fish fumed angrily.

This startled Mosin-Nagant beside her.

Radish quickly intervened: ”No need for that, calm down.”

At that moment...

”Heh.”

A cold laugh cut through the tense atmosphere.

Then came a crisp, icy female voice:

”I must say... if this is all youʼre capable of, Iʼll be rather disappointed.”

Everyone turned toward Fluoxetine, who was resting her chin on her hands.

Meeting their gazes, Lin Yu maintained his calm pace as he continued:

”The [Support] opportunity was designed to be fair - because the near-perfect [Support Item] is already in each of our hands.”

”Think carefully - what order did we use to select our contestants?”

As Lin Yu posed the question, everyone simultaneously looked down.

At the small yellow square papers - some in pockets, some clenched in hands, some on the table - that each possessed.

The ”Flavor Papers” theyʼd received after the [Side Dishes] segment...

Li Hua sighed.

”I did consider these might be useful later.”

”But... theyʼre technically ʼfood.ʼ If the random buff proves useless, it would waste time and potentially hinder their subsequent eating.”

As Li Hua spoke, Robin nodded slightly.

”These might be useless for this segment.”

These elite players werenʼt fools - theyʼd guessed these ”Flavor Papers” might be important ”chips” for later segments!

But... using food as [Support Items] in an eating contest? Absurd!

Hearing their reasoning, Lin Yu sighed internally.

Indeed, these veterans might excel at PVP and PVE...

But they rarely dealt with deities - at least, rarely outsmarted gods.

Thus, theyʼd all overlooked one thing.

Overlooked how Octopus Ka had deliberately left a loophole when explaining support rules.

So...

Lin Yu turned to [Robin].

”Lend me your Flavor Papers.”

Robin blinked, then produced hers.

”How many do you need?”

”Twenty for now, thanks!”

Lin Yu smiled.

Accepting the papers, he held them aloft.

”Respected God of Revelry... grant me food thatʼs substantial and calorie-dense.”

After this solemn prayer, the papers vanished.

Disintegrating into sparkling lights that floated upward!

Moments later...

From the sky descended an enormous hunk of meat - a massive roasted animal leg, dripping with succulent juices.

The whole leg landed in Lin Yuʼs arms, nearly his own size, incredibly heavy.

[Roasted Cyclops Mountain Boar Hind Leg: Dense, flavorful roast providing SUPER·MASSIVE satiety! Sixty times the protein of beef!]

Holding the leg with one arm, Lin Yu raised a finger, his face breaking into a charming smile.

”Let me teach you an important life philosophy about competition and cooperation.”

”Rather than improving yourself, slander others!”

Standing from his chair, he declared swiftly:

”I choose to [Support] Vitian!”

Seeing Octopus Ka raise no objections...

Lin Yu shoved the entire roasted leg into the floating name ”Vitian” before Li Hua!

The gigantic leg disappeared entirely into the name.

Then...

”Thud!”

The roasted leg materialized in Vitianʼs arena!

Lin Yu collapsed back into his chair, laughing uproariously.

”Ahahaha—so it really works!”

He said, settling back comfortably.

”Everyone, lesson learned?”

Crossing his legs elegantly, Lin Yu concluded:

”This is the correct way to use [Support] opportunities!”
