Chapter 345: Ethan’s frustration

Ethan heard the voice of Ragnarok inside his ear.

”Let us go and see the corpse of the sixty fourth dimensional being.”

Ethan vanished from the place and appeared where Ragnarok was.

This place was located in another space. Only someone above the fifty fifth dimensional level could sense it. There was a mechanism in this space and that was that this realm would only appear to the public when someone had potential at the level of the thirty fifth floor of the tower of ascension.

Ethan’s former self always knew about this place. When he was young, he would sometimes come here to spend some alone time. The realm was very beautiful.

Ethan appeared and looked at the coffin. It was releasing a horrendous pressure that was distorting reality with its mere presence.

Ethan was about to be vaporized by the sheer pressure when he activated his full power. Otherwise, his mere fourth dimensional body would not be able to hold on under the pressure of a sixtieth dimensional being.

As soon as Ethan activated his full power, he did not waste any time.

Instinctively, with a wave of his hand, he sealed the pressure of the body. Now it was safe even for an ant to approach.

After that, Ragnarok entered the body without any problem. But entering the body and merging with it were not the same thing.

So Ethan had to manually transform all the cells of the corpse to match Ragnarok’s.

Now the corpse was Ragnarok himself, with the same power.

As soon as Ethan transformed the body, Ragnarok immediately began his merging process.

After this was done, Ethan deactivated the power. He had been using his full power too often because even though he was a fourth dimensional being, all his enemies were far beyond his league.

”Yumiko, should I wait in this realm until I become as powerful as my former self and then come out?” Ethan suggested with a frustrated tone.

[Master, the idea is good. But reaching the level of your former self would take eons. Are you sure you want to do this? Besides, I have scanned the entire origin dimension but I could not find mistress. She is not here.]

As soon as Yumiko finished speaking, Ethan’s mind went blank. Until now he thought Rose was hiding somewhere with everyone and that he could not find her because of that strange woman.

But now Yumiko was saying that Rose was not here. Then where was she?

Ethan did not think twice before he activated his one hundred percent power.

He instantly released his mental domain.

He wanted to find the signature of Rose. His mental domain soon covered the entire origin dimension.

After that it started spreading outside the origin dimension.

He could see that the origin dimension looked like a ruin from this perspective of a powerful outsider.

Then his mental domain detected many unknown beasts in the infinite darkness. They were as powerful as this corpse or even more.

After that, he found the sector palace of Sector Lord Edmond, who was now preparing for war.

Ethan did not stop.

His mental domain was covering the outside space with the speed of teleportation.

He found many worlds that were larger than the origin dimension.

He started scanning those worlds too, but Rose could not be found anywhere.

He checked countless worlds and after ten minutes, his mental domain finally reached a world that looked infinitely larger than any other world he had seen.

His mental domain was having problems entering those worlds.

”Maybe the so called monarchs live in these worlds. Rose is probably in such a world,” Ethan thought.

But he could not be sure. He would have to check all the individual homeworlds of the monarchs and even that would not guarantee finding her.

Ethan kept searching, and after ten more minutes his mental domain suddenly came to a full stop because it struck a supreme barrier. His mental domain was not powerful enough to penetrate it.

”What kind of world is on the opposite side of the barrier?” Ethan’s mind was racing. Then he deactivated his form because it had a limited time and he had already used almost twenty two minutes. He only had thirty eight minutes left.

He would have to become absolutely powerful before those thirty eight minutes ended.

He had found a barrier that even his full power could not penetrate. That meant the barrier was cast by an entity stronger than his former self who had seemed to possess infinite power until now.

”Rose, please stay safe. I promise I will find you and everyone else. Even if I cannot, someday I will take control over the entire creation and there will not be any secret hidden from me. I will find you then.” Ethan felt devastated.

He was so weak that he could not even find his wife or his parents. Even his former self was not omnipotent. A single barrier had put him in his place. There was always someone stronger.

The thought frustrated him.

Ethan took a deep breath.

He sat on his throne. Now that he thought clearly, he had seen that seductive woman in that castle and that palace master was very strong, almost as powerful as this corpse.

Ethan had a bad feeling that the palace master was preparing for a war against him. That woman probably caused this.

”I should have killed her at that time. I have become too soft. When was the last time I killed someone? The world is not meant for soft people.” Ethan’s eyes turned cold.

”Yumiko, can you become more powerful?”

[I certainly can master. But it would take eons.]

”Is there a faster way for you to become more powerful, so that you would be able to sense everything and know everything?”

[Master, I would have to merge with your sea of origin to do that. If I merge with the infinite source of your power, I will gain similar knowledge to your former self. I would not be able to fight, but I would become as knowledgeable as your former self.]

”And what price will you pay for that?” Ethan asked calmly.

Yumiko did not reply.

”Yumiko, I am waiting for your answer,” Ethan said softly.

[Master, I will become a part of your self and lose my original self.]

Ethan took a deep breath. He knew something like this would be the price.

”Alright, you do not have to do that. Become powerful naturally. Use as much energy as you need to become powerful quickly.”

Ethan sat cross legged to start cultivating. He took out those thirty origin fruits and swallowed them at once.

His body was more than capable of handling all those seal formations at once.

Instantly three trillion gray seals formed, and they transformed into three hundred light brown seals.

After that he started practicing his infinite ascension sutra. After forming a golden seal, his cultivation speed would soar because he would be able to understand the source of existence.

With a little understanding of the source of existence, his power would rise like wildfire.

Seals would form very quickly.

He only needed to wait for that moment.

Ragnarok would need a month to fully merge with this body. Once he finished merging, Ethan would leave the origin dimension and roam the infinite space outside.

The origin dimension no longer offered him much.

But before leaving, he would protect the origin dimension from that bitch and take their origin fruits as payment. Only then would he depart.

Ethan would become a true cultivator from now on. He would have to scavenge the worlds for resources and fight for them. His smooth journey in cultivation was officially over.

Ethan sighed.

Then he vanished from the place. His destination?

It was the world where he had grown up in this life. He would take revenge for his grandpa and for Rey’s parents too.

Boom.

Ethan appeared in the world.

This world was able to support both third and fourth dimensional power so Ethan did not need to conceal anything.

He started scanning the world.

He remembered that the sword sect was located in the central continent.

So Ethan went to the central continent.

...

In the central continent,

”Sword sect is recruiting again after a long time. I am so excited. I hope I can awaken a sword related powerful talent. My father has a sword talent,” one young boy said nervously.

”Do not worry. I am sure you will achieve your goal Tim. I am rooting for you,” said the cute little girl beside him. Tim became flustered when he heard this.

Before he could say anything, some people attacked them.

”Xefer, did I not forbid you to hang around with this pathetic little worm? Why did you come out of the castle?”

The little girl’s face changed instantly.

”Brother, he is innocent. I was the one who sneaked out of the castle. Please do not do anything to him,” she said while crying.

But the man did not change his ruthless expression.

”He will have to give his life for daring to speak with the princess of the Orion family.”

Tim was afraid. He began shaking, but he did not run. He wanted to make sure these men did not harm Xefer.

Just as they were about to kill the boy, they heard a voice.

”Where is the sword sect? Show me the way.”
