Chapter 303: The ancestor of the Aurion Empire

Rey’s face turned red again.

”Ethan don’t talk nonsense. How can she be my woman? And she is very powerful. I am no match for her.”

Ethan looked surprised. ”Aren’t you the sword god? You always bragged that you could protect me if I went with you and that no one could harm me. How come there’s someone stronger than you?”

Rey looked embarrassed. He had indeed said those words before because he thought he had become the strongest existence in the world and that no one was his opponent anymore.

”Well, I was wrong. Now she wants to say something to you.”

Rey was surprised that the tyrannical woman hadn’t uttered a single word since they arrived. Ethan even teased him a bit for bringing her here, but she didn’t react at all.

Rey thought she was astonished by Ethan’s handsomeness.

Rey felt disgusted. What a hag.

”Hey, why aren’t you saying anything?” Rey asked her.

Ethan just smiled at the woman and then looked at Rey.

”Why don’t you go on a walk with Blue? He missed you very much, you know.”

As soon as he said this, Rey looked at the fluffy Blue. Blue looked so damn cute that Rey almost fell for Ethan’s trap.

”No way, I can’t leave her with you. What if she harms you?” Rey’s eyes looked solemn.

Ethan sighed.

”Well, you said you’re not a match for her, but she didn’t harm you and still isn’t doing anything. Don’t worry. Go and buy some vegetables from the market. I’ll cook something nice.”

”No, she is from the Aurion Empire. She came here to take you with her. I’m afraid if I leave, she’ll forcefully take you.”

Then he looked at Sofia.

”We had a deal. You would try to convince him for two minutes. Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you going to break your promise?”

Sofia wanted to slap Rey like a madman. She was drenched in cold sweat already. Her heart was beating like a drum in front of this monster.

But this bastard was running his mouth nonstop.

She now regretted not breaking his mouth earlier.

As soon as that thought came to her mind, she instantly felt death looming over her head.

Ethan’s cold eyes were looking at her.

”Can he even read my thoughts?” Sofia thought with horror in her eyes.

”Don’t worry. I can’t read your thoughts, but I can read your eyes. So don’t think of something that will show in your eyes.”

She heard Ethan’s voice in her head again.

Sofia said at that time, ”Sword God of the Divine Palace, I want to talk to your brother privately. I won’t harm him a bit. I swear on my soul.”

Rey was surprised. What happened to this woman suddenly? She had given him so much advice and all that about people he couldn’t touch, about how he should bow, blah blah blah, and now she was behaving so weirdly.

”Alright. What vegetables do you want?” Rey asked.

”Take Blue with you. He will help you buy the necessary things.”

Rey looked at the fat cat suspiciously.

”How can this fatty help me buy things?”

”You just take him. When the fuck did you become like this? Asking so many unnecessary questions.”

Rey felt frustrated. Even after becoming a sword god, Ethan would always treat him like a kid, and he didn’t know why, but he always felt an instinctive fear when he talked to Ethan. The fear was like that of a son fearing his dad, who could become angry for the smallest reason.

”Alright. Fatty, come here.”

As soon as Rey said that, Blue jumped from the ground and perfectly fell into Rey’s embrace.

Rey couldn’t help but rub his face on Blue’s fur.

”So damn cute,” Rey muttered. After that, he left with Fatty.

As soon as Rey left, Sofia knelt down instantly.

”Sir, please forgive me. I didn’t know about you. Please, sir.”

”You came to take me to your empire forcefully. What is the reason behind it?”

Ethan asked her. If he found her reason valid enough, he would let her go. Otherwise, she would die today.

”Senior, the Empress of our empire has fallen ill for some unknown reason. We can’t find out the disease. Even our ancestor couldn’t find out. He is a Tier 16 existence.

So we decided to find the best healers in the human realm to see if they have any idea.”

”You need help, and you are forcing others to come to you. Is this because you thought you are invincible and no one can touch you?”

Ethan asked coldly.

A small portion of his aura was released on her.

Sofia instantly started bleeding all over her body.

Her internal universe almost got crushed instantly.

”Please, senior, we didn’t mean to harm anyone. It’s just that taking the Empress to every healer would be tough, so we asked them to come to our empire. We have prepared a lot of gifts for them even if they can’t find out the illness.”

Ethan took back his aura.

”Go back and take your Empress here. And send half of your empire’s wealth to the Divine Palace. You may leave now.”

Sofia felt her soul get some life back.

”Thank you, senior, thank you so much. I will send the treasures within two days and bring the Empress soon.”

Ethan waved his hand, and Sofia became perfectly fine again.

Sofia bowed to him again and vanished from there.

After a while, Rey came back with Blue.

Rey was surprised when he saw Sofia wasn’t there.

”Where did she go?”

”She went to bring the patient. I was able to make her understand that bringing the patient here is the right thing to do.”

Blue looked at him with disdain. He had sensed when Ethan released his pressure a while ago.

”You are really something else,” Rey praised him.

”Rey, how much do you know about the human realm, and are there any other races out there?”

Rey thought for a moment.

”This is top secret. Are you sure you want to hear this? I learned it from the former Palace Master.”

Rey saw Ethan suddenly look at him like he was a fool.

”Don’t look at me like that. I’m asking you because the more secrets you know, the more you lose your peace.”

”Stop giving me advice, little brat. Just say it already,” Ethan scolded him.

”You know, I am the Sword God of the Divine Palace,” Rey said with frustration.

”So what? You are still a 10-year-old brat,” Ethan said with disdain.

”You are also a brat in that sense,” Rey refuted loudly.

Ethan didn’t argue anymore and went to the kitchen to start cooking. Rey started washing the vegetables to help him.

He only felt at home here. The Divine Palace was like an office to him.

While working, Rey told Ethan all the secrets he had learned before.

Ethan was surprised to learn that humans were living in a cage-like world. Some supreme entity had put them there to save them from the outside world. There was a huge world outside where Demons and Dragons lived and ruled.

There were other races too. Humanity was also a big race there.

But humanity’s potential was far superior to the other races, even though they were innately weaker.

So they conspired against them. All the other races came together just to destroy humanity.

That supreme entity gave his life in order to preserve the last breath of humans.

Ethan had a look of understanding.

”Is that so? I would surely like to go there someday.”

Rey looked at him like a fool.

”Didn’t you hear what I just said?”

”You won’t understand. You are like a kid after all. Anyway, that woman said if I can heal her patient, she will donate half of her empire’s wealth to the Divine Palace. Use that wealth wisely and become more powerful.”

Rey’s eyes were wide open. How important was the person that they were willing to pay half of their wealth? No wonder they were so aggressive.

In the Aurion Empire, Sofia arrived at the palace.

The emperor, Zenos Salaras, stood up and smiled at her.

”Aunt, have you brought the healer?”

But Sofia didn’t answer him. Instead, she gave him a hard slap. Zenos flew hundreds of meters away.

Everyone in the palace stood up in fear. Why was this woman so angry?

”Bastard, you wanted to kill me, right?”

Zenos stood up with difficulty.

”What are you talking about, Aunt? What happened?”

”Happened my ass. Prepare half of the empire’s wealth and send it to the Divine Palace if you don’t want the Aurion Empire to be destroyed.”

Then Sofia told them what she saw there. Everyone felt the hair on their bodies stand up when Sofia finished her story.

”I don’t think even the ancestor is his match. Send the wealth in two days and take the Empress to him. I’m sure he will be able to cure her with just a wave of his hand.”

But suddenly, they felt immense pressure fill the palace.

An old man in a white robe appeared there.

”I will take her to the man personally. Let me see if you are correct or not.”
