Chapter 322: Giving Statement

”I have contacted Sir William. He will arrive here in a while. Then we will go with him,” Alexander said.

At first, they wanted to go directly to the capital of the empire, but then they thought of a problem.

Alexander and Elindros would have to travel together, and there was a chance they would start fighting. After thinking for a while, they called the vice president of the Hunter Association, William Dragonheart.

Elindros was looking at Ethan with undisguised killing intent. He didn’t want Alex anymore as much as he wanted to kill Ethan.

Ethan came behind Alexander with a shaky body, yet he didn’t say anything.

Alexander grew more and more pleased the longer he looked at the boy.

”He is clearly afraid to the point where his body isn’t listening to his brain and is shaking uncontrollably, but he still hasn’t said a single word of begging mercy. What tremendous courage.”

Ethan once again won the Oscar for acting.

Alex came beside him. ”Brother, you are really brave. I respect you for that. I hope we can become good friends in the future, as we are probably going to live together in the Aurelion family.”

Ethan gave him a forced smile.

”You are a supreme genius, whereas I am just an F-ranked talent. We belong to two different worlds. I am sure once you start cultivating and get a taste of becoming stronger, you will forget these words of yours.

Strong people always make friends with strong people. Weaker ones like me will always be side characters in your story,” Ethan replied slowly.

Everyone looked at Ethan with surprise in their eyes.

The boy was surprisingly mature for his age.

Alex wanted to say something pleasant, but he knew the boy was right.

Ethan suddenly looked at Elindros.

Instantly, Elindros felt as though he had been gazed upon by a primordial beast of the apocalypse.

His back was drenched in cold sweat.

”What was that feeling just now?” Elindros became panicked.

He started looking around with a frantic gaze. He had just sensed death.

Ethan had already shifted his eyes to another direction.

Erina stood in a corner, watching Ethan.

”How can he be this calm after what he just did? He practically made an enemy out of an SS-tier Hunter,” she thought, a budding respect forming within her.

Then, a black airship appeared in the sky.

As soon as it arrived, the entire city felt its presence.

Someone inside that ship was suppressing their pressure, but even then, the presence of a god could still be felt.

The door of the spaceship opened, and a middle-aged man with long silver hair, tremendous attractiveness, and a white battle armor stepped out.

He placed his hands behind his back and took a step into the air.

All the hunters there immediately felt as if a mountain had descended upon their shoulders, including Alexander and Elindros.

Two people stood by his side, their faces covered under battle suits, yet their presence was also far greater than that of Alexander and Elindros.

Everyone at the site bowed instantly.

”We welcome the vice president. Thank you for coming here at our request,” Alexander said humbly.

William simply smiled.

”Alexander, you and Elindros are both pillars of the empire as well as of the Hunter Association. Besides, both of your families have made huge contributions over the years. Of course, I had to come personally. Besides, there is someone who attracted me here more than you did.”

He looked at Alex.

Alexander started panicking. If the vice president intended to take him under his wings, he wouldn’t be able to do anything — he was, after all, an SSS-rank Hunter.

William looked at the panicked Alexander and laughed loudly.

”Don’t worry, I won’t snatch him from you. Now, where is the person who agreed to give an official statement?”

Alexander looked at Ethan.

”Boy, come here. You don’t have to worry. Nothing will happen to you. Just tell him the truth.”

William looked at Ethan with curiosity. How could someone like him possess so much courage?

”Tell me, boy, what have you seen?”

Ethan looked into William’s eyes and gave a faint smile.

”Thank you, sir, for listening to my words personally.

Mr. Samael was present here before the awakening ceremony started, and he even gave a speech. At that time, I didn’t see Mr. Elindros there. Maybe he was hiding somewhere to catch the SSS-rank talent by surprise.

Then that boy awakened the SSS-rank talent, and I saw Mr. Samael offering for him to join their family — even saying he would marry him to their girl or something like that. A while later, I saw Mr. Elindros come from the sky and make Mr. Samael puke blood.”

When he finished, the entire place fell silent.

Even Alexander was looking at him with wide eyes.

”What did his mother feed him when he was born? Why is the world so cruel? Why wasn’t he born in my bloodline? Why does he have an F-rank talent? Why?”

Samael, Erina and Alex were looking at him like they had seen a ghost.

Alex started thinking in his mind,

”Who is this person? How can a background character like him has the courage that even surpassed a protagonist like me?”

Elindros had already fully released his killing intent. The only reason he wasn’t acting was because of William’s presence.

William was looking at Ethan as if he had just seen an alien. ”Tell me, boy, where is your confidence coming from?”

”Sir Alexander guaranteed my safety. He is on par with Mr. Elindros, so I’m not afraid of being killed in front of him.

Of course, sir, if you take action, I’ll have to lay down my life before you, as I don’t think anyone here could protect me then.

But I am not afraid of Mr. Elindros. I’ll enter the Aurelion House and never go out again, as Sir Alexander will take care of my necessities. So Mr. Elindros has less than zero percent chance to kill me.”

”Hahahahaha!”

Both Alexander and William laughed loudly.

”Boy, you’re putting too much trust in that old fox. What do you say? How about joining my family instead? I can also protect you and meet your requirements.”

They didn’t know why, but Ethan had an irresistible charm even with his average looks. His manner of speaking and his confidence were both admirable.

Alexander’s face darkened, though he didn’t know why. Even though he was winning Alex, the SSS-ranked talent, when he heard that the boy had caught the vice president’s eye, he felt strangely sad.

”But sir, I heard Mr. Samael say that the most beautiful girl in the kingdom is from the Aurelion House, and that he would marry her to that future powerhouse. But what if the girl rejects him? Won’t I have a chance then?” Ethan said with a smile, already sensing the karmic thread of Rose from Alexander and Samael.

He didn’t intend to seek her out actively, but his instincts told him that one of Rose’s souls was in the Aurelion House. There was no way he wouldn’t go there after learning that.

”Hahahaha! Boy, I’m sure your mother fed you a dragon liver when you were born. I wish you luck courting that brat of a girl in that family. Goodbye. You don’t need to go to the Association — that boy will go to the Aurelion House.”

”Sir, just now he disrespected me in front of everyone. I want that boy’s life,” Elindros said calmly.

”Sure, if you can negotiate with the Aurelion family, go ahead. I’m out of that matter,” William said before stepping into his airship and vanishing into the sky.

Alexander also vanished with everyone. There was no way he was going to wait for Elindros to spout more nonsense at him again.

”Yumiko, what do you think? Which personality would this Rose have?”
