Chapter 302: Sage Village

Rey looked at the woman in front of him. Though he knew the woman was stronger than him, he wasn’t much afraid of her.

It was his Sword God talent, which had formed sword will inside him, that made him believe he was the best. There was no one who could compete with him.

Besides, he had his own trump cards. Even if he couldn’t win, he could at least escape from her, as she was only a little stronger than him.

But Rey was wrong. The woman was not just a little stronger than him; she was in a whole different league.

Rey was only a tier 12 existence, whereas the woman was a tier 15.

The Origin Dimension was something else.

In the 3rd Dimension, even the Prime Reality’s one of the Prime Universes, which was the universe where Earth was, had only tier 14 as their highest beings.

But in the 3rd Dimensional level of the Origin Dimension, even a simple human realm already had a tier 15 among them, and there was someone stronger than her too.

Rey replied calmly, ”Yes, I am. May I know who you are?”

The woman coldly looked at him.

”You are not worthy of knowing my identity.”

Rey’s face didn’t change much.

”Are you from the Aurion Empire? They have sent their strongest existence for me. I see, they think so highly of me.”

”You are dreaming, boy, if you think I am the strongest in the empire. And they sure put you in high regard. So I don’t want any unnecessary bloodshed. Step away from my way so that I can take your healer brother to the empire. Trust me, we need him for a good reason, and we won’t harm him. But even after this, if you want to stop me, I can only slaughter your entire Divine Palace.

Decide what you want.”

She snapped her finger, and a throne even grander than Rey’s appeared behind her, and she sat on it.

”You have five minutes to decide.”

She looked at Sabro suddenly.

”Old man, you have a guest. Won’t you even offer some food? Is your Divine Palace this uncultured?”

Sabro and the other higher-ups of the Divine Palace were standing there, rooted in their place with fear.

They knew there was a war coming, but they didn’t think that the Aurion Empire would send one of their strongest existences right from the start. It was not playing fair at all.

Rey was coldly looking at the woman. After becoming the Sword God, this was the first time he was being humiliated like this. But what could he do? Let her slaughter everyone here? They were his comrades, after all.

”You will have to convince my brother to go with you. If you want to force him, then let there be bloodshed, let the Divine Palace be doomed, let the calamity swallow it. But trust me, I won’t be going down so easily. Even if I die, I’ll land a fatal blow on you.”

Sofia looked at Rey with surprise. This boy’s resolve was very, very tough. He could become a real powerful warrior if given enough time. Humanity needed strong warriors. A calamity was about to hit them in the near future.

”Boy, I like your resolve. But you should learn that there are some people you will never be able to touch, even if they killed everyone close to you. You can only bow to them.

I’ll try to convince him in two minutes as respect for your resolve. If he is convinced, then that’s fine. If he isn’t, I’ll force him. If you want the Divine Palace to be destroyed alongside you at that time, I’ll be happy to oblige.”

She was as calm as ever. She was called Sofia the Supreme because of her personality, not because of her realm.

Rey gritted his teeth. Her words were cutting deeply into him. It was like rubbing salt after cutting his skin, and he could only smile at her.

He wanted to unsheath his sword.

”Remember, boy, if you take out that sword, your fate alongside your people will be sealed right now. So think carefully. I said I won’t hurt him even if I have to force him to come with me.

But if you still want to act on your ego, then you are not a worthy man for my respect.”

Rey looked at everyone around them. They had pleading looks on their faces as if they were saying,

”Please, your majesty, don’t act on impulse.”

Rey released the hilt of the sword and sighed. He was still not strong enough.

”Please forgive me, Ethan. I couldn’t protect your peaceful life.”

”Okay, I will go with you,” Rey replied.

Sofia gave a charming smile. ”That’s more like it. Let’s go.”

In the Sage Village, beside the lake,

Ethan was holding a fishing rod and fishing.

”Fatty Blue, massage my back properly, or else I won’t give you good food anymore.”

The fat white cat instantly started pressing its two forelimb paws properly.

Without food, it would go crazy. Its master’s cooking skill was out of this world. Even a normal fish tasted heavenly when Ethan cooked it.

”That’s better.” Ethan concentrated on fishing with satisfaction.

Suddenly, he looked toward the main gate of the village.

”Blue, Rey is here, and it seems he has brought a beautiful woman with him. But she’s far too old to be his woman. Don’t you think so? My baby brother is just a 10-year-old kid. That old hag must have charmed him somehow.”

Ethan was complaining, but then a fish was caught, and Ethan concentrated on it.

Sofia and Rey were standing in front of the village gate.

When the gatekeeper saw Rey, he instantly bowed.

”Welcome back, Master Rey. Please wait, I will open the gate right now.”

Sofia was surprised to see that the mere gatekeeper was a tier 13 existence, and the gate was tremendously heavy. No one under tier 4 would be able to even open it.

They entered the village and Sofia started scanning the village.

Her eyes kept widening more and more.

Every adult of this village was at least tier 12 or 13, and one was even above tier 13.

”What the heck is this place? How can a little village in a small kingdom of a small empire in the southern continent be this strong?”

And more importantly, she couldn’t gauge the strength of two individuals in the village: a young man, who was the most handsome young man she had ever seen in her eons of life, and a fat cat, which was massaging the back of the young man.

Suddenly, the young man looked toward her and smiled,

”Such a beautiful woman like you shouldn’t be this perverted to scan other people’s personal properties, don’t you think so?”

Sofia felt a thunder rumble in her head. Nothing made sense anymore. This place was terrifying, too frightening.

Suddenly, she didn’t want to go any further.

Rey looked at her with annoyance.

”Why are you not moving? My brother lives there. And don’t even dare to show your pressure on these weak villagers. I’ll fight with you to the death otherwise.”

Sofia looked at Rey like she was looking at a fool.

”Every one of them is far stronger than you, moron. You are just a paper tiger in front of them,” but she didn’t dare to utter that, as that young man was still locking his gaze on her.

”Hey, it’s Master Rey. Why are you standing here? Sage is probably fishing at this time,” a young man came to greet Rey.

Then he looked at Sofia.

”You have brought such a beautiful woman with you. Is she your woman?”

Rey’s face turned red with anger.

”Don’t utter nonsense. Go away from here.”

The young man left, muttering, ”What did I say to make him that angry? Probably he is just shy.”

Sofia was cursing the emperor’s entire generation, but then she remembered she was his aunt.

”That bastard gave me wrong information. Totally wrong. Not just wrong, it’s fatal. Turns out this brat is just a silk-pant young master from this village, playing Sword God outside.”

The name Sage Village now seemed to be perfectly accurate. She had first scoffed when she saw this name outside.

”Come here. No need to tell him anything,” suddenly she heard the voice again in her head.

”Hey, are you coming or not? I am craving my brother’s cooking. Though he is not very strong, he is the best at everything he does.”

Sofia wanted to slap this silk-pant right away, but she didn’t dare.

They slowly went toward Ethan’s house.

After coming closer, they could see Ethan fishing outside.

”How are you, Ethan?” Rey asked.

”I am fine. Tell me about you. You have even brought a beautiful woman with you. Are you going to get married? Is that why you brought her to meet your family?” Ethan teased him.
