Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 149: Chapter 148: She is Young Master Peary’s Mother

Belinda Swan’s expression changed instantly. Winning? Of course, she had won. Could it be that this Nia Mitchell had won instead? She was just an ordinary woman, not worthy of anyone’s special attention. Maxwell Peary was merely infatuated for a moment; he would come to his senses. He would realize who was truly fit to stand by his side.

”You seem to bear me ill will. Since you want this bag, go ahead and pay for it then.”

Belinda Swan reluctantly placed the bag into the Salesperson’s hands, making it clear she wouldn’t compete with Nia Mitchell.

She was confident Nia Mitchell couldn’t afford it. Even if she and Maxwell Peary were married, Maxwell Peary wouldn’t give her much money. After all, over 800,000 USD was no small sum, especially just for a handbag. Even if Nia Mitchell had some spare cash, buying this bag would surely make her heart ache for a good while. Besides, Nia Mitchell was already holding a ladies’ leather bag worth over 700,000 USD. Belinda Swan was certain Nia Mitchell absolutely didn’t have that much money.

Phoebe Harris, standing behind Belinda Swan, was confused. Why was Belinda Swan being so polite to such a little hussy? It was just a bag. So what if the girl had looked at it? She hadn’t paid for it, so it wasn’t hers.

”We’re not giving up this bag.”

Phoebe Harris decided to step in for Belinda Swan. This was a chance to build a good image with her and reap benefits later.

”This bag belongs to our Belinda Swan. We’re buying it today.”

Phoebe Harris reached out and took the bag back from the Salesperson’s hand, afraid Nia Mitchell would try to snatch it.

The Salesperson was exasperated. Three customers, are you kidding me?

Nia Mitchell frowned. Who was this middle-aged woman? Looking at her ostentatious, jewel-adorned attire, she had to be a wealthy socialite. And she was with Belinda Swan. Could she be Belinda Swan’s mother?

Seeing Nia Mitchell’s confused expression, Belinda Swan smirked, as if she had seen through everything.

”This is Maxwell Peary’s mother.”

Nia Mitchell’s expression changed dramatically; she hadn’t expected this middle-aged woman to have such a status.

Uncle Peary’s mother? Oh my goodness, doesn’t that make her my mother-in-law? This is terrible! It looks like this mother-in-law doesn’t like me at all. Instead, she seems quite close to Belinda Swan.

”Um, hello. I’m Nia Mitchell, Uncle Peary’s... Maxwell Peary’s wife.”

Unsure what else to do, she could only introduce herself first.

”What? When did Maxwell Peary get married?”

Phoebe Harris looked incredulous. The whole world knew Maxwell Peary was single.

At these words, Nia Mitchell’s face instantly turned pale.

Uncle Peary... Uncle Peary hadn’t told his parents about their marriage? Could it be that he didn’t really... No, impossible.

”Perhaps Uncle Peary... Maxwell Peary has been too busy lately, so he hasn’t had the chance to inform you yet.”

No one believed her excuse. Too busy to even inform his own parents about his marriage?

”Young lady, I’ve seen plenty of girls like you, but you’re the first one brazen enough to claim to be Maxwell Peary’s wife the moment you open your mouth. Nia... Nia Mitchell, is it? You should learn some manners first.”

Phoebe Harris sneered, already dismissing Nia Mitchell as *that* kind of woman.

Belinda Swan stood to one side. She found this incredibly amusing, but her expression remained impassive.

”I am Maxwell Peary’s fiancée, and I’m not upset. Aunt, please don’t be angry either. How can we possibly stop others from having such vile and disgusting thoughts?”
