Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 104: Chapter 103: Has She Gone Crazy Trying To Climb High Branches?

Nia Mitchell scoffed, knowing these people wouldn’t believe her, but it didn’t matter. She had only blurted it out on impulse.

She had never intended to reveal her previous job to anyone.

”Believe it or not, that’s your call. However, I advise you to stop scheming against me; after all, I know EdbertNia Mitchell.”

EdbertNia Mitchell, the big boss of Star Media, was one year older than Maxwell Peary, at exactly thirty years of age.

Nia Mitchell smugly shifted her gaze to the computer and opened her mailbox.

Damn it! Phoebe Walker had actually assigned her a mountain of work—and all of it was menial, stuff that required no skill but was well within her capabilities.

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP...

Suddenly, the landline on Nia Mitchell’s desk rang. Startled, she reached out and answered it.

”Get me a cup of coffee.”

Huh, Uncle Peary’s voice... A cup of coffee? Nia Mitchell was speechless. How could the call have been directed to her?

It was common knowledge that making coffee was Phoebe Walker’s responsibility. Just yesterday, she had entered the CEO’s Office Room multiple times for this very task.

”Hmph, you shouldn’t be giving out the office number to your various friends. This is a Company, not your home!” Phoebe Walker snapped, finally feeling she had caught Nia Mitchell in the wrong, her voice dripping with confidence and condescension.

Nia Mitchell silently rolled her eyes. ”I don’t even know the number for this landline, okay?”

Phoebe Walker sneered, looking at Nia Mitchell with disdain.

”Then who called you?”

”CEO Peary.”

It’s perfectly normal for the CEO to call a secretary to give instructions, isn’t it?

Phoebe Walker and all the other secretaries in the Secretary Department burst out laughing. Is Nia Mitchell a fool? Claiming CEO Peary just called her? If CEO Peary called her, then they might as well claim he invited them all to dinner!

”Nia Mitchell, I really don’t know how someone like you got into MC Group. You’re delusional!”

”CEO Peary asked me to make a cup of coffee and bring it in.”

Phoebe Walker’s sneer hadn’t been so pronounced before, but after hearing Nia’s words, she burst into even wilder laughter.

Make coffee? Is this Nia Mitchell here to be a Gold Digger? Trying to seduce CEO Peary? Just look at her plain appearance—no chest, no butt. What man would be attracted to that? Everyone in MC Group knew that making coffee for CEO Peary was her, Phoebe Walker’s, exclusive duty! Would CEO Peary suddenly ask a newbie, who was only on her second day, to make coffee? Heh, not even a ghost would believe that!

”Believe it or not, suit yourself.”

Nia Mitchell shrugged, walked over to the side by herself, and started making coffee.

Suddenly, she found herself wondering why all big bosses seemed to love coffee so much. Could it simply be to stay alert?

Phoebe Walker didn’t waste any more words. Since some people chose to dig their own graves, she would just wait and watch the spectacle.

She really wanted to see how Nia Mitchell would handle this. Was she actually going to walk into the CEO’s Office Room holding a cup of coffee? Haha! Just imagining Nia Mitchell getting reprimanded and thrown out made Phoebe Walker unable to stop the smile from spreading across her face. Maybe Nia Mitchell would be kicked out of MC Group, becoming the employee with the shortest tenure in MC Group’s history. That would certainly be a glorious record! If CEO Peary himself ordered her dismissal, she wouldn’t be able to escape it, no matter who was backing her. Phoebe Walker imagined the impending scene of Nia Mitchell crying as she came to pack her things, and she couldn’t help but feel a surge of secret delight.
