Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 126: Chapter 125: Baby, are you scared?

Mr. Hampton naturally hoped that the situation would not be blown up and that the wrongdoer, Nia Mitchell, would not go too far. After all, the victim was Mrs. Hampton, who was in the operating room. However, they hadn’t considered that if Yancy Hastings hadn’t arrived and completely reversed the situation, they themselves had never intended to let Nia Mitchell off easily.

Yancy Hastings, who had known nothing before arriving, listened to Mr. Hampton’s account. Good heavens, was this Nia Mitchell so aggressive? He once again found himself thoroughly despising Maxwell Peary’s aesthetic sense and his taste in women.

Yancy Hastings raised an eyebrow. ”She resorted to violence? And even sent someone to the hospital?” For a young lady to fight like that, what has the world come to? However, this style of beating someone up badly enough to land them in the hospital... *cough*, it was indeed quite similar to Maxwell Peary’s.

”I...” Nia Mitchell wanted to explain, but would this man even listen? Besides, the facts were clear: she was indeed responsible for Mrs. Hampton ending up in the operating room.

Just as Yancy Hastings was about to say something more, he saw Maxwell Peary rushing over from a short distance away.

”Nia!” Maxwell Peary reached Nia Mitchell in an instant, pulling her tightly into his embrace.

”How are you? Are you hurt?” Maxwell Peary looked Nia Mitchell up and down, even taking her small hands to examine each finger carefully. Thankfully, there were no visible injuries.

Nia Mitchell quickly shook her head. The moment she saw him, all the grievances she had suffered seemed to surge up from within her.

”I’m fine.” Nia Mitchell hugged him back and managed a smile.

Maxwell Peary frowned. Her eyes were red; she had clearly been crying.

”Tell me, what happened?” Maxwell Peary sat on the bench, then pulled Nia Mitchell onto his lap, holding her tightly.

Nia Mitchell felt extremely awkward sitting on his lap and squirmed. Ugh, so many people are watching! How can he be so handsy in public?

”I... Let go!” Nia Mitchell struggled. She didn’t want to be the center of attention; it was too embarrassing.

”No.” Maxwell Peary held her possessively, not allowing her to break free. That feeling of losing everything was too terrible; he never wanted to experience it a second time in this life.

”My little bunny, you were terrified today, weren’t you?” he asked, tenderly stroking her cheek, his heart aching for her.

Nia Mitchell nodded. She had indeed been terrified by today’s events. The image of Mrs. Hampton’s blood-covered face still vividly replayed in her mind. She was terrified, truly terrified. That scene was like a nightmare, refusing to fade, haunting her relentlessly.

”Don’t be scared anymore. I’m by your side now, so you don’t have to be afraid ever again.”

Nia Mitchell nodded, hugging his strong waist tightly.

It was rare for his little rabbit to be so clingy. Although Maxwell Peary was still furious, her dependence on him managed to quell some of his anger.

He glanced at Yancy Hastings, who was still watching the spectacle with interest, and raised an eyebrow.

”Clean this up. I’m taking her home first.”

Without giving Yancy Hastings a chance to reply, Maxwell Peary bent down, scooped Nia Mitchell into his arms, and left.

Standing in the hospital corridor, Mr. Hampton and his sons were stunned. They truly hadn’t expected Nia Mitchell to have such powerful connections, let alone be involved with Young Master Peary.

No one was clear about the exact details of what had happened, as the only person who knew everything, the driver, had already departed.

Yancy Hastings stood frozen, his mouth twitching. What the hell was this situation? Maxwell Peary actually just picked up his woman and bolted, leaving me here to clean up this mess! Damn it all!
