Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 107: Chapter 106: Got spanked again

Maxwell Peary rubbed his forehead and uncomfortably changed his sitting posture.

”I want this cup.”

He lifted his head; his gaze fell into Nia Mitchell’s teary eyes, calm and collected on the surface, yet a storm was already surging in his heart.

”This cup is mine.”

Nia Mitchell, inflamed and becoming unreasonable, snatched the coffee cup from Maxwell Peary’s hand with lightning speed. She then lifted it to her lips, intending to gulp it down.

Humph! If she finished this coffee, let’s see if he would still change it.

She never expected the coffee would ultimately end up in Maxwell Peary’s mouth. The reason was that Nia Mitchell, after snatching the coffee, had only moments before complained it was too cold and demanded a freshly brewed cup.

She never expected the coffee to be so damn scalding hot. A fierce sip instantly numbed her tongue. She immediately spat out the coffee, sticking out her tongue and fanning it desperately.

”OOH, OOH, OOH, OOH, it’s so hot, so hot!”

Maxwell Peary, ignoring the coffee sprayed all over him, quickly stood up. He wrapped his arms around her waist, looking anxiously at her extended little tongue.

”How is it? Does it still hurt?”

He kept asking in her ear, as Nia Mitchell stomped her feet in frustration. It hurt so much she could hardly speak.

She kept sticking her tongue out, and tears instantly welled in her eyes.

Seeing her like this, Maxwell Peary grew flustered and bent down to kiss her.

Nia Mitchell, startled, forgot her pain. After a long, lingering kiss, he finally let her go.

”Does it still hurt?”

Nia Mitchell stood there, somewhat dazed. She first shook her head, then suddenly nodded.

”This is what happens when you’re not careful!”

Maxwell Peary let her go and playfully slapped Nia Mitchell’s bottom twice.

Nia Mitchell jumped away, hands covering her bottom, glaring at him furiously.

”You hit me again!”

Nia Mitchell protested, her eyelashes still glistening from the tears she had shed.

”You, in the future...”

”You hit me again!”

Nia Mitchell interrupted Maxwell Peary’s words, accusing him of his misdeeds.

”I already got burned! I’m pitiful enough as it is! How could you hit me again?!”

Nia Mitchell, furious, turned and ran out of the Office Room. Maxwell Peary was left rubbing his forehead, his expression terrifyingly dark.

Half a cup of coffee remained on the table. That mouthful of hers was really something; she actually drank half of it.

Shaking his head, he picked up the remaining coffee and sat down to savor it slowly.

Looking down at himself, he needed to change his shirt again.

When Nia Mitchell returned to the Secretary Department with a tear-streaked face, she was met with speculative looks from everyone.

Her expression was clearly one of defeat. This delighted all the scheming vixens in the Secretary Department who harbored designs on Maxwell Peary.

Phoebe Walker was the first to speak up. She’d been saying it all along, hadn’t she? Responsibility for Maxwell Peary’s coffee was hers, and this Nia Mitchell was utterly foolish in her seduction attempts.

”Oh, done spouting nonsense now? Finally realized your place?”

Phoebe Walker spoke coldly, ”So, what? Are you packing up and leaving?”

Right. As if she had anything to pack. It was only her second day of work, after all.

Nia Mitchell looked at Phoebe Walker with an expression one might reserve for a deranged Serpent Spirit. With which eye did she see me packing up to leave?

”Sorry to disappoint you, but I’ll probably be working here for a very, very long time.”

Nia Mitchell wiped away her tears, a triumphant look on her face. If she told them she was crying because the coffee had burned her tongue...

They would probably think, not only was she vain and materialistic, but that she was also crazy; the kind that can’t go without her medication.

”Hah, listen to you talk so big. That’s really...”

Before Phoebe Walker could finish her sentence, Special Assistant Alan Morgan pushed open the glass door of the Secretary Department and walked in.

”Hello, Special Assistant Morgan.”

Phoebe Walker quickly dropped her harsh expression towards Nia Mitchell and greeted Alan Morgan with a smile.
