Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 118: Chapter 117: She Deceived Maxwell Peary

Having eaten and drunk to their heart’s content, Maxwell Peary had to attend to official matters, and Nia Mitchell began to feel bored.

”Uncle, can I go home first?”

After all, she couldn’t continue working this afternoon, so what was the point of staying in the Office Room?

Maxwell Peary paused his signing and looked directly at Nia, his gaze fervent.

”I’ll call a driver to pick you up.”

Maxwell Peary reached for the phone on his desk, but Nia immediately declined.

”No need, I’d like to wander around town.”

Nia smiled and hurried over to get her bag.

Maxwell nodded. Shopping? He could understand; Evelyn Peary also enjoyed this activity.

”I gave you a card before. Use it freely.”

Maxwell stood up and walked her to the hidden elevator.

”I know. You should get back to work. I won’t hold you up any longer.”

She recalled him being in the study late last night; he must be very busy.

She hoped he wouldn’t have to work late again tonight, even though so much of his day had been wasted on her.

Maxwell saw Nia into a taxi, sharing a goodbye kiss before returning to the Company.

Sitting in the taxi, Nia took a deep breath. After a moment’s hesitation, she took out her phone and dialed Hendry Hampton’s number.

”Well, well. To what do I owe this unexpected call, Nia Mitchell?”

Hendry’s voice came through the phone, his tone carrying a hint of teasing but mostly mockery.

”Are my belongings still at your place?”

Before the engagement, she had poured all her savings into decorating their marital home. Later, she gave up her rented apartment and moved all her belongings there.

That was how she had ended up penniless and homeless on the streets.

”They’re still there.”

So much had happened in just a few days. He had only just been released from the Police Station today and hadn’t yet had a chance to throw those things away.

”Okay, I’ll come and get them now.”

After saying this, Nia abruptly hung up. The key to the marital home was still in her bag.

At the Hampton Family Villa, Hendry descended the stairs step by step, his face gloomy.

”Ah, Hendry, are you going to visit Beatrice Swan at the Hospital?”

Mrs. Hampton hurried forward. Her son had only just been released today, after much effort, and she truly hoped he wouldn’t get into any more trouble.

Fortunately, the Hampton Family had weathered this crisis; otherwise, she didn’t know what they would have done.

”Who would want to see that b*tch.”

Hendry’s voice instantly shot up, as if he were a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

Mrs. Hampton nodded repeatedly, agreeing wholeheartedly with her son’s words.

”Exactly! From now on, our Hampton Family and their Swan Family are irreconcilable! When the Hampton Family was in trouble, they just stood by and watched, leaving us to fend for ourselves! Who would dare to have in-laws like that?”

Mrs. Hampton had been seething with resentment for days. She had already gone to the Hospital that morning to raise a ruckus, and since there was conveniently a banquet that afternoon, she planned to thoroughly publicize the matter there as well.

Hendry knew his mother’s temperament well and had no intention of stopping her.

”Where are you going then?”

Suddenly, Mrs. Hampton felt something was off. Her son had been extremely dejected when he returned that morning; where was he planning to go now?

”I’m going to the Royal View Villa.”

In Capital Town, the Royal View Villa and Royal Bay Villa were comparable, both being top-tier luxury estates.

And the Royal View Villa was precisely where Hendry and Nia’s marital home was located.

Hearing this, Mrs. Hampton had a flash of realization. Ah, yes! The marital home they had prepared was there, and so were the belongings of that little vixen, Nia!

”Yes, you should go. Remember to throw out all that little vixen’s belongings, including those cheap things she bought. Just looking at them lowers our standards.”
