Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 141: Chapter 140: Do You Want to Have a Child for Me?

Nia Mitchell was aghast. Uncle Peary, how shameless can you be!

She truly hadn’t expected Maxwell Peary to utter such words; it simply set a new low for him.

”I... I need to go to work.”

Flee! That was her only thought right now.

Maxwell Peary grabbed her arm, preventing her from escaping.

”You haven’t told me yet. Do you want a child?”

The first time he had wanted to be intimate with her, she had said she didn’t want to get pregnant so soon.

What about now? Did she regret it? Did she want to have his child?

Damn, that sentiment was so beautiful, he was almost mesmerized.

Nia Mitchell’s head shook back and forth like a rattle-drum. No, no, no! I’m only twenty; I absolutely don’t want to have a baby yet!

”I won’t have one! Uncle, I won’t.”

Nia Mitchell instantly hugged the CEO’s arm, as if her belly would POOF and swell up if she didn’t refuse right then and there.

The CEO was very unhappy to hear this. Well, he had known before that she didn’t want to.

But this was different from her loudly refusing him to his face now.

A deep sense of frustration flashed through his mind.

He reached out and patted Nia Mitchell’s small head.

”Alright, I understand. I won’t tease you anymore.”

Nia Mitchell nodded, carefully observing his expression.

She still felt that the CEO really wanted a child.

”Uncle, how about we have a baby when I’m a bit older?”

Maxwell Peary nodded. ”Whenever you want to have a child, we will.”

He could wait; having a bit more time for just the two of them was also quite nice.

Nia Mitchell bit her lip. Could the CEO please not look so understanding?

Maxwell Peary carried Nia Mitchell to the sofa and gently set her down.

”You went to the Royal View Villa yesterday to get your luggage, didn’t you?”

Nia Mitchell looked up, not understanding why Maxwell Peary would suddenly bring this up.

Yesterday, she had lied to him. She had clearly gone to the Royal View Villa but had said she was going shopping. Was he angry?

Nia Mitchell nodded. Unfortunately, she hadn’t managed to retrieve anything in the end.

”That was my oversight. Why don’t you go shopping with Evelyn Peary later? Get whatever you need.”

Nia Mitchell looked up in shock. He wasn’t angry?

”No need, I just...”

”Listen to me. Buy whatever you want.”

Maxwell Peary cut Nia Mitchell off and, after finishing his sentence, immediately dialed Evelyn Peary’s number.

”Yes, it’s me. Go shopping with your sister-in-law later.”

At that moment, Evelyn Peary was in a Dining Hall, savoring a new dish. She was thoroughly enjoying it, smiling so broadly her eyes nearly disappeared. She hadn’t expected to receive a call from her older brother at this time. Goodness, had the sun fallen to Mars or something? The main point was, her brother was actually asking her to go shopping—well, to accompany her sister-in-law shopping.

”Brother, I recently, ah, introduced some new dishes, and just a couple of days ago I bought a few new bags, and also...”

”I’ll pay. Buy whatever you want.”

He didn’t even need to guess to know what Evelyn Peary meant by her words—she was pleading poverty.

Evelyn Peary immediately put down her chopsticks and casually pushed aside the delicious food in front of her.

”You really are my dear brother! I’ll never again suspect I was adopted.”

”Alright, stop your prattling. Come to MC right now.”

Maxwell Peary didn’t give her a chance to ramble on and directly hung up the phone.

”Will you wait here, or do you want to go back to the Secretary Department to pack your things?”

Nia Mitchell sat there in a daze. So, it was decided just like that? Come on, she hadn’t even agreed, alright? She was still at work; did he even realize that, dear? Great. She’d only been working for a few days, and now she had to take leave again today.
