Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Ahem, Pushed Off the Bed by the Wife

Evelyn Peary had decided that her future sister-in-law would never have to pay for meals at her Madgar Pavilion!

Evelyn Peary gave a hearty order to the Store Manager, then continued to busy herself with the business. However, before leaving, she informed everyone that no unauthorized personnel were allowed into Maxwell Peary’s private booth.

After Nia Mitchell finished three large pieces of sweet cake, drank a large pot of red jujube tea, and fell asleep on the sofa in the private booth, Maxwell Peary finally arrived, rather late.

Upon seeing his young wife curled up asleep on the sofa, covered with a thin, white, fluffy blanket, Maxwell Peary entered the room gently.

”Did she have dinner already?”

He glanced at his watch. It was already half past ten in the evening.

”She only had some desserts; she hasn’t had her main meal yet.”

Evelyn Peary had been urgently called home at nine o’clock, so the Store Manager had been looking after Nia.

”She hasn’t had dinner?”

Maxwell Peary frowned. Hadn’t she said she wouldn’t wait for him?

It had to be said, this feeling of being waited for was very warm. But she must be uncomfortable sleeping on an empty stomach.

”Nia... Nia?”

Nia Mitchell gave a dazed response, mumbled something incoherently, changed her position, and continued to sleep.

”Nia? How about eating dinner before going to sleep?”

Maxwell Peary remembered how restless this young woman was when she slept. The last time he’d tried to steal a kiss, he’d been slapped right in the face.

”Mm...? Uncle Peary, you’re back.”

Nia Mitchell’s eyes narrowed and then closed again as intense sleepiness overcame her. She reached out and wrapped her arms around the neck of the person kneeling in front of her.

”Home... home...”

She mumbled again and fell into a deep sleep.

Maxwell Peary rubbed his forehead. It seemed it would be very difficult to wake her. Since she already had her arms around his neck, he simply picked her up.

”Young Master Peary, are you leaving already?” the Store Manager asked, though with a questioning tone, and still went to open the door for him.

”Mm.”

The Store Manager wanted to say something but hesitated. Mr. CEO, you haven’t had your dinner yet, have you?

After Young Master Peary left, the Store Manager sighed, looking up to the heavens. Good heavens, this world had gone mad! Something was definitely off today. Otherwise, how could she have witnessed such a thing?

The driver saw Young Master Peary carrying Mrs. Peary from afar and immediately got out of the car to open the door.

”Back to Yu Bay.”

”Yes.”

「...」

Nia Mitchell felt like she had a terrible dream. She fell into a river, the water engulfing her. Despite her desperate struggle, she couldn’t escape from this confinement. Suffocation, darkness, and panic enveloped her.

”MMH...”

With a sudden push, Nia Mitchell sat up abruptly, her small, cherry-red mouth wide as she gasped for air, taking deep breaths...

Huh?

Something seemed wrong.

Nia Mitchell frowned. Wasn’t I waiting for Maxwell Peary at Madgar Pavilion? How did I end up back home?

”NIA MITCHELL!”

An angry roar from an older man sounded from the floor beside the bed. Nia Mitchell swallowed hard.

”Uncle, why are you sleeping on the floor?”

She timidly asked, only to see a certain person standing up with a dark expression, his bathrobe half-unbuttoned, revealing his Felix Gregory figure, which was faintly visible.

His honey-colored skin was flushed red, his abdominal muscles rising and falling with his breath, a sight that made Nia Mitchell instinctively want to flee.

”Why am I sleeping on the floor? Hmm? I would also like to know.”

The man bent down and got closer to her, and she stiffly leaned back, trying to avoid the scorching breath he was exuding.

”I...I...I don’t know!”

It would be a wonder if she didn’t know! It was all coming back to her now. When she sat up just now, it seemed she had pushed something... and then, well, she thought she heard a BANG.

SOB, SOB, SOB! She had pushed CEO Peary off the bed! Someone, save me!
