Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 74: Chapter 74: Not Accepting the Perverted Punishment from a Certain Old Man

Victoria Perez swore furiously as she stormed back to her bright red Ferrari, slamming the door shut.

Her chest heaved with fury; she snatched her phone and dialed a number.

After a while, an elegant and gentle female voice answered.

”Miss Bai, what in the bloody hell were you thinking, giving me that lousy advice? Because of it, I got slapped by that old geezer Robert Perez!” Victoria’s voice was accusatory as she roughly jammed the car key into the ignition.

”I didn’t give you any advice. When we met this morning, I was just speaking casually. Don’t tell me you were foolish enough to actually follow through?”

The woman on the other end spoke leisurely, her tone detached.

”Don’t play games with me. Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to. Why didn’t you tell me that Nia Mitchell is Young Master Peary’s wife?”

Victoria was so angry her stomach ached. Only after finding out Nia Mitchell was Maxwell Peary’s wife did she realize someone had used her.

”She’s just a sparrow dreaming of becoming a phoenix. You don’t need to know about her bubble-like existence. Besides, if you had known her status earlier, what would you have done today?”

Victoria was momentarily speechless. Given her temperament, even if she had known Nia’s identity, she would have acted the same.

But she hadn’t expected Evelyn Peary to be at Madgar Pavilion. She hadn’t expected him to know Nia. And she certainly hadn’t expected him to speak up for Nia...

There were too many unexpected things that had led to her current, embarrassing predicament.

”Next time, I definitely won’t let her off. But if you want me to mess with her again, you’ll have to help me save the Perez Family.”

The Perez Family has to be okay, because everything they own is meant to be hers, Victoria Perez’s, in the future.

”Sure. The Perez Family is but a small matter. However, you’d better watch your mouth. Otherwise, you know what I’ll do.”

Hearing the threat, the anger on Victoria’s face gradually gave way to fear.

”I won’t do anything against my own interests, but don’t think you can threaten me forever!”

After hanging up, Victoria leaned back in the driver’s seat. She lightly touched her cheek and immediately winced, sucking in a sharp breath.

”Damn that old geezer!”

...

「Madgar Pavilion—」

With Robert Perez’s departure, the spectacular drama ended. Nia Mitchell stood blinking, puzzled.

Um... What’s going on here? Were that father and daughter here for comic relief?

Nia noticed the worry in Evelyn’s eyes, and a warmth spread through her heart.

”I’m fine, just a bit hungry.”

Seeing her sweet smile, Evelyn also breathed a sigh of relief.

”So, would you like to have dinner first or eat some dimsum while waiting for my brother?”

As they walked towards the private booth, Nia thought for a moment before saying, ”Dimsum, please. I’ll wait for him a bit longer. Oh, and please don’t tell him about what happened today.”

Evelyn nodded. Sister-in-law, you’re wonderful! If you tell him, I’ll be in for it! He was so touched, he almost cried.

Nia, unaware of Evelyn’s thoughts, didn’t want Maxwell to know. She simply felt it wasn’t a big deal. Besides, she was also a little afraid of seeing Maxwell’s face darken.

What if unpredictable Uncle Peary got angry? She definitely didn’t want to endure another round of that older man’s twisted punishment.

Um...

She absolutely could not let him know!
