Chapter 249: Chapter 249 Fan Qingyin

Just as Ye Haochuan was lost in wild thoughts about the beauty beside Xiao Haimie, the MC for the birthday banquet approached.

”Son-in-law Sun...”

Before the MC could finish, Ye Haochuan was taken aback and said, ”Since when the hell did I become Son-in-law Sun?”

The impeccably dressed MC smiled at him slightly, respectfully saying, ”Son-in-law Sun is joking. Old Master Xiao has already told me that since Eldest Young Master Xiao isn’t feeling well, you will be in charge of the coordination and arrangements for today’s birthday banquet.”

That’s when Ye Haochuan finally realized, damn, my identity sure changed fast. Old Master Xiao had directly acknowledged me as his grandson-in-law without even needing to include the word ”prospective.”

However, thinking about it, Xiao Haimie’s father was truly miserable. The moment Elder Xiao got angry, he directly stripped him of the right to coordinate and arrange the birthday banquet.

”Being in charge of coordination and arrangements isn’t impossible, but I don’t have the relevant experience,” Ye Haochuan said with a troubled look.

The MC, with a smile plastered on his face, said, ”Elder Xiao has instructed me to assist you on the side.”

Ye Haochuan was still hesitant. By nature, he was carefree and liked to live without restrictions; dealing with such social obligations was truly a big challenge for him.

At this moment, Xiao Haimie came over and said softly, ”Dear, don’t worry, I will assist you.”

Assist? This is just like a duet between husband and wife, isn’t it?

Ye Haochuan chuckled and finally agreed, ”Alright, then I’ll give it a try.”

The MC was overjoyed.

Xiao Haimie then asked the MC to call over the relevant people for Ye Haochuan, the Son-in-law Sun, to instruct.

Only then did the MC hurry away.

At this time, the beauty with cascading shoulder-length curls behind Xiao Haimie came over and affectionately linked arms with her, giggling as she said, ”Haimie, you’re really good at hiding people, huh? You’ve just divorced your ex-husband and you’ve quietly met a handsome young man. Are you afraid I’d steal him from you and didn’t introduce him to me, your best friend?”

Ye Haochuan felt a chill in his heart. As expected, it was indeed a best friend.

Xiao Haimie looked at him with tender affection, then, with a slightly flushed face, she said to her best friend, ”He is my new boyfriend, Ye Haochuan.”

”Ye Haochuan, what a nice name,” Xiao Haimie’s best friend said with a lovely smile to Ye Haochuan.

In the midst of their conversation, her glances were full of charm, unspeakably moving, and just as enchanting as Xiao Haimie’s.

However, in Ye Haochuan’s eyes, Xiao Haimie’s allure came without effort, whereas hers seemed a bit contrived.

Moreover, Ye Haochuan had a feeling that when their gazes met, her eyes seemed to shoot out a magical brilliance, almost bewitching him to the point of losing control.

Thankfully, what kind of beauty hadn’t Ye Haochuan seen? Even Xiao Haimie, a top-notch beauty with extreme allure, he could handle with ease; so, why would he be mesmerized by her? He composed himself slightly and said with a smile, ”Just average, just average...”

While he said this, he felt a bit annoyed inwardly—damn, she actually dared to flirt with me, and she’s my woman’s best friend?

”Right, I haven’t asked Miss for her name yet...” Ye Haochuan said with a smile.

”Asking for another girl’s name in front of your girlfriend, seems a bit inappropriate, don’t you think? Maybe Haimie should do the introductions,” Xiao Haimie’s best friend said with another smile.

Ye Haochuan was speechless. What kind of best friend was this?

”Qingyin, what are you even saying?” Xiao Haimie’s cheeks turned red, and it took her a while, before she said to Ye Haochuan, ”This is my best friend, Fan Qingyin. We used to hang out together often. After the college entrance exams, she went abroad and we lost touch. She came back this time to attend Grandfather’s birthday banquet... Oh yes, she dances very well.”

Dances very well?

Ye Haochuan’s eyes lit up. Well, he liked girls who could dance the most. He teased and said with a smile, ”So, it’s Miss Fan Qingyin. Pleased to meet you.”

After speaking, he reached out his hand first.

Fan Qingyin, after all a student who had studied abroad, was generous enough to extend her hand and shook hands with him.

Hey, this touch, really speechless, soft as if boneless, warm and smooth as jade!

Ye Haochuan was blissfully thinking when suddenly his palm was scratched by her fingertip, making him startle and look up, only to meet her soul-capturing, enchanting gaze, and his whole body stiffened.

”Mr. Ye, do you think I’m beautiful?... Mr. Ye, do you like me?... Mr. Ye, shall we elope?... Mr. Ye...”

Ye Haochuan only felt his eyelids fighting each other, drowsiness overwhelming him, as if he yearned to sleep. Hallucinations even appeared before his eyes. But in his mind, he still clung to the last bit of clarity.

What the hell is going on here?

Ye Haochuan shook his head slightly, sobering up a bit, but still the seductive voice resonated in his ears, and by now, he had a vague sense that something was amiss.

Suddenly biting his tongue hard, the pain snapped Ye Haochuan to full lucidity, and at the same time, he heard Xiao Haimei’s chiding voice: ”Jerk, what kind of place do you think this is? Let go of Qingyin’s hand this instant!”

Ye Haochuan was shocked, quickly withdrew his hand, and looked again at Fan Qingyin facing him, with a pitiful and aggrieved expression.

At that moment, Ye Haochuan completely understood what was happening. Damn it, this chick, she actually gave me an electric shock! Making me lose face in public!

Shit, I have to find a way to save face in this situation!

Ye Haochuan silently swore to himself.

At the same time, he wondered, who exactly is this Fan Qingyin? How can she master such seductive techniques?

He would never believe that Fan Qingyin’s seductive abilities were natural.

Feeling the unusual glances from all around, Xiao Haimei was greatly embarrassed. This idiot, openly flirting with her best friend in broad daylight, she stomped her foot lightly and said: ”What are you spacing out for? Are you not going to apologize to my best friend?”

Apologize? Apologize my ass!

Ye Haochuan was displeased inside. This Fan Qingyin, daring to play these games in front of me!

With a resentful glance at her, Ye Haochuan then turned to Xiao Haimei with a wronged tone: ”Sister Mei, if I say I’m innocent, would you believe me?”

”Believe you my foot!” Xiao Haimei said, exasperated, ”I know you too well, you can’t take your eyes off a beauty.”

Gee, I didn’t expect to be seen like this in her eyes.

Ye Haochuan felt depressed internally and muttered: ”Sister Mei, listen to my explanation. Just now, I actually fell for her trick. It was clearly her sending me signals, and I just couldn’t control myself for a moment. Anyway, you should be careful. The saying ’Beware of fire, theft, and best friends’ is definitely true.”

”What ’Beware of fire, theft, and best friends’? As if my best friend is trying to seduce you. If anyone needs to be watched, it’s you, the heartless womanizer,” Xiao Haimei retorted, glaring at him.

Shit, now I’m completely smeared, whether there’s shit or not.

Ye Haochuan was at a loss for words and could only brace himself to look towards Fan Qingyin and huffed: ”Miss Fan, you really hide your true colors, huh? I’m impressed.”

What is this guy doing, bringing this up when he’s supposed to apologize?

Xiao Haimei was a bit worried that her best friend might get angry, and looked at her best friend uneasily. However, to her surprise, Fan Qingyin didn’t show the embarrassment or anger she expected. Instead, she chuckled: ”Mr. Ye is no simple man either. I’m impressed too.”

The two of them exchanging compliments like this left Xiao Haimei utterly puzzled, but seeing them turn hostility into harmony, she still breathed a sigh of relief.

”Miss Fan, Sister Mei mentioned earlier that you’re a good dancer? Does that mean you must have practiced yoga, right?”

”I have, what about it?” Fan Qingyin said, puzzled.

”Nothing much, but I’d certainly like to see for myself sometime,” Ye Haochuan chuckled lewdly, his face an expression of indescribable lasciviousness.

Of course, I have to see it for myself, a beauty doing yoga. They say the poses are diverse, every normal man’s dream!
