Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 245: Chapter 245: Don’t Be So Sarcastic

Because everyone knew Ye Haochuan was going to attend the Elder Master of the Xiao Family’s birthday banquet, Zhao Bingqian and her three companions said their farewells to him after getting into the car.

Ye Haochuan himself then slipped into his QQ car, slowly started the engine, released the handbrake, gently stepped on the accelerator, and followed the lane.

However, just as he had driven more than twenty kilometers on the ring road expressway, his phone rang.

Glancing at it, he saw the caller ID showed Sister Mei, which immediately dismayed Ye Haochuan—he had a feeling that Sister Mei must have just landed.

Ye Haochuan quickly pressed the speakerphone button because the phone was connected to the QQ car’s Bluetooth system, making the call more convenient.

”Hello.”

”Why did it take so long to answer the phone?” Xiao Haimie sounded slightly displeased.

”I was just driving.” Ye Haochuan hurriedly explained.

”Oh.” Xiao Haimie’s tone improved a bit, ”So, my dear, you haven’t reached the airport yet?”

”I bought a car this morning, which delayed me a bit, and there was some traffic, so I won’t be able to make it to the airport anytime soon,” Ye Haochuan explained, ”But, Sister Mei, don’t worry, I should be there in about ten minutes.”

”Drive slowly, be careful.” Xiao Haimie instructed.

”Don’t worry.”

”Then you drive, I’ll wait for you.” After saying that, Xiao Haimie ended the call.

Afterward, Ye Haochuan started to step harder on the accelerator to increase his speed.

Ten minutes later, Ye Haochuan finally arrived at the airport. In the parking lot, he met Xiao Haimie and her female assistant, as well as the bodyguard Han Dazhuang and another bodyguard for security.

Xiao Haimie’s Ferrari was parked there, along with four Audis that had come to pick her up and escort her.

Next to each Audi, a group of bodyguards stayed alert watching the surroundings. Further out, there was even another group of bodyguards standing guard.

After all, as the young miss of the Xiao Family, her presence was quite impressive!

Ye Haochuan nodded in approval, and of course, he felt it was only appropriate. After two previous incidents, it was only right that she boosted her personal safety, otherwise, she would be completely disregarding her own life.

His gaze shifted, Ye Haochuan glanced at Han Dazhuang, intending to greet him.

After becoming a bodyguard, Han Dazhuang, clad in a suit, appeared dignified and solemn. Noticing Ye Haochuan’s glance, he understood and nodded back knowingly.

This Brother Dazhuang’s bodyguard style was quite something!

Ye Haochuan nodded in silent praise, then led Xiao Haimie to his car, graciously extending his hand, ”Sister Mei, please.”

”Is this your new car? A QQ car?” Xiao Haimie was at a loss for words.

Considering she was usually surrounded by luxury cars as the young miss of the Xiao Family, when had she ever ridden in such a reputation-lowering QQ car?

Behind her, the female assistant and the other bodyguard could hardly contain their amusement at the boyfriend of Miss Xiao’s unconventional actions.

And since Han Dazhuang was quite familiar with his carefree nature, he wasn’t surprised by it at all.

”Yes, a QQ car, what do you think? Pretty cool, huh?” Ye Haochuan said with a grin, ”This is really my ’show-off’ tool.”

”But even if you’re trying to show off, you didn’t have to get such a devaluing car as a QQ, right? You’re worth billions!” Xiao Haimie said, half-amused, half-frustrated, ”At the very least, you could have bought a Volkswagen, which would have at least better performance.”

”Oh, that’s true. Okay, I’ll drive this QQ car for a while, and once it’s about ready to be scrapped, I’ll throw it away.”

Ye Haochuan nodded his head, just now when he drove onto the ring expressway, he had felt that this QQ car really was a bit crappy, entirely underwhelming.

Xiao Haimei shook her head and decided not to say more. Thinking about how, from her childhood to adulthood, she had always been chauffeured in luxury cars, and had never ridden in something as low-end as a QQ car, she whimsically smiled and said, ”Well, since I’m in a good mood today, I might as well experience your ’luxurious’ car.”

Ye Haochuan gave a wry smile, ”Sister Mei, you don’t have to be sarcastic.”

Seeing his deflated ego, Xiao Haimei burst into giggles, her laughter shaking like blossoms in the wind. She then opened the passenger door of the QQ car and got in.

Ye Haochuan followed her inside, and the two shared a passionate kiss in the car.

The female assistant shook her head helplessly and climbed into the Ferrari, giving the two some privacy.

As for Han Dazhuang and the other bodyguards, at Han Dazhuang’s command, they each took their places in the cars.

Ye Haochuan found it odd, Brother Dazhuang had become the head of the bodyguards? Thus, he glanced at Xiao Haimei beside him, ”Brother Dazhuang he...”

Xiao Haimei said, ”Han Dazhuang is honest and down-to-earth, and very dedicated to his duties. Last night, luckily he spotted the danger in time and fought desperately to rescue me. I wasn’t kidnapped by those criminals. Therefore, when I returned, I just announced to everyone that from now on, Han Dazhuang will be in charge of all the bodyguards.”

Criminals?

Ye Haochuan frowned and asked, ”Do you know who those criminals were?”

Xiao Haimei nodded her head, ”One of the criminals was caught by Han Dazhuang. According to the interrogation, these men were instructed by someone called Master Hao.”

”Master Hao?” Ye Haochuan blinked, ”Do you know this person?”

”I don’t,” Xiao Haimei replied.

”Then why did he have people kidnap you?” asked Ye Haochuan, ”For money? For lust? Or was there another motive?”

The person said he didn’t know himself, he was just there to complete the mission,” Xiao Haimei mentioned, then suddenly remembered something, ”Right, this group is highly skilled, not ordinary people, and also, I recall hearing Han Dazhuang and his men referring to each other as fellow disciples.”

Fellow disciples?

Ye Haochuan’s heart tensed. If so, the likely culprits behind Xiao Haimei’s kidnapping were disciples of the Ancient Martial Arts Sect.

Moreover, he could conclude that they were probably just a bunch of apprentices.

The reason was simple. Han Dazhuang’s cultivation was not high, barely an apprentice level; since he was able to defeat these criminal and capture them, it was certain that these people’s abilities could not surpass Han Dazhuang’s.

But Ye Haochuan had a question: Who exactly were this Master Hao and those apprentices under his command?

”Did Brother Dazhuang find out exactly who they were?” Ye Haochuan asked.

Xiao Haimei thought for a moment, then said, ”It seems they mentioned something like Tian something alliance...”

”Tianyu Alliance?” Ye Haochuan’s heart skipped a beat.

”Yes, yes, the Tianyu Alliance. That guy even threatened Han Dazhuang, but ended up being taught a lesson,” Xiao Haimei said.

Hearing this, Ye Haochuan roughly understood that the Tianyu Alliance’s kidnapping of Xiao Haimei was probably targeted at him.

Yet, he was also puzzled. With the formidable power of the Tianyu Alliance, taking him down would be easy, so why the major fuss?

After pondering for a while and still clueless, he simply let it go and focused on driving.

Soon, the QQ car was on the expressway.

The Ferrari charged ahead, a few Audis guarded at the back, and the QQ car was nestled safely in the middle, presenting a spectacular scene. Many drivers on the expressway marvelled at the sight. In this day and age, luxury cars escorting a QQ car was truly unheard of, unseen before!
