Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 206: Chapter 206 You can’t run away, you little girl!

It turned out the person standing at the door was none other than Xiao Haimei!

Damn, what was she doing here at this time?

Ye Haochuan felt a tingling on his scalp.

Han Xue’er also came back to her senses from confusion, scared out of her wits. There was really nothing going on, and she felt no guilt, but he had locked the door. Wasn’t this a case of protesting too much? What would people outside think if they saw?

For a moment, Han Xue’er didn’t know what to do and almost burst into tears.

Oh Lord, if you cry and make noise, won’t you be giving away to Xiao Haimei that we’re hiding in this office?

Ye Haochuan quickly stepped up, covering her plump, soft mouth to keep her from making a sound.

Han Xue’er struggled with muffled noises.

The knocking got louder and louder.

In a panic, Han Xue’er whispered, ”There’s someone outside!”

”Don’t worry, the tigress outside doesn’t have the key and can’t get in,” Ye Haochuan said confidently.

”Tigress?” Han Xue’er picked up on something amiss.

Ye Haochuan really wanted to slap himself. How could he accidentally blurt out ’tigress’ before they even opened the door?

”Just a slip of the tongue,” Ye Haochuan mumbled.

Han Xue’er wasn’t suspicious, but as the knocking grew louder, she became more anxious, biting her lip and saying, ”Brother Ye, Xue’er is yours and always will be, but if someone outside barges in now... how embarrassing would that be!”

Hey, always mine? That’s great, you can’t escape me now, you little girl!

With this thought, Ye Haochuan wasn’t so anxious anymore. Just as he was about to say a few words to reassure her and put her at ease, his perspective revealed a mature and knowledgeable-looking beautiful woman at the door.

He recognized this beauty, Xiao Haimei’s personal secretary, Cangyu.

Another person who looked like a school health center staff member came to the door, and Xiao Haimei said to them with a serious face, ”Open the door.”

Ye Haochuan was scared out of his wits, and at this point, if he kept hiding in this office, he would be like a sitting duck!

Han Xue’er was deathly pale. She might not remember other people’s voices, but how could she not recognize the voice of Chairman Xiao from the school board?

Just yesterday morning, she had been called by Chairman Xiao himself, warning her to be mindful of her behavior and not to do anything that would tarnish the school’s reputation. And now here she was, behind closed doors with Brother Ye. Wasn’t this...

She dared not think any further.

”Don’t worry, Xue’er, watch what your husband does,” Ye Haochuan said calmly, approaching the window to peek outside. There was no one behind the health center.

As the sound of the lock turning came from the door, Ye Haochuan did not hesitate to sweep Han Xue’er into his arms and leap out of the window.

Simultaneously, the door flew open, and Xiao Haimei entered with a stern face, only to find the room empty, which was a bit surprising to her.

”Cangyu, what on earth is going on?” Xiao Haimei frowned at her secretary.

Cangyu was also a bit confused, thinking to herself that she had arranged for someone to keep an eye on Han Xue’er in the health center. Could it be false information?

”That’s not right, Chairman Xiao, just now...”

Cangyu was about to explain when Haimie suddenly noticed the mess of food containers on the office desk. With a look that was half-smiling, half-mocking, she hummed, ”Alright, no need to explain. I already know the reason.”

At this very moment, Ye Haochuan, having just parted from a still shocked Han Xue’er, thought he had slipped away undetected. He nonchalantly walked through the main entrance of the school clinic and then upstairs to his office.

As expected, the door to his own office was open.

Life is like a play, all dependent on acting.

Ye Haochuan’s acting was incredibly convincing. Approaching the door, he pretended to mutter to himself while walking, ”Strange, the door was definitely closed when I left...”

Seeing him appear sheepishly at the doorway and hearing his muttering, Haimie couldn’t help but laugh in irritation. This philandering guy, so adept at making excuses, luckily I’m aware of your tricks, or I might have been deceived.

”Oh, Sister Mei, when did you get here? I was wondering why my door mysteriously opened on its own. So it was you who came in!”

Ye Haochuan walked in, all smiles.

Knowing that Chairman Xiao wanted to talk to him seriously, the secretary Cangyu left the room, closing the door behind her, giving them some private space.

This secretary, so on top of things, has potential. She knew to close the door before leaving!

Ye Haochuan silently applauded her, then cheerfully approached Haimie, who was sitting in his office chair, and said, ”What brings my dear wife here? Could it be that you’re in the mood again?”

”In the mood, my foot!”

Haimie pushed away his mischievous hand and gave him a glare, her pretty face stern, ”I’m asking you, where did you run off to just now?”

”I went to the bathroom, of course!”

”The bathroom? With Han Xue’er?”

”How could that be? Han Xue’er is a girl, and I’m a guy. How could we go together?”

”Still pretending in front of me? I just saw Han Xue enter your office, and then you two were sneaking around in the room, doing who knows what indecent things.”

”Sister Mei, I swear on my honor, I, Ye Haochuan, am not that kind of person. When did Han Xue enter my office? How could I possibly do anything indecent with her? You mustn’t wrong me!”

You are not casual, but when you are, you are no longer a person!

Seeing his utter denial, Haimie felt a flare of nameless anger, ”Then what about the lunch boxes on this table?”

Noticing the lunch boxes brought by Han Xue, Ye Haochuan inwardly panicked, damn, how could I have forgotten to clear away the lunch boxes earlier? Damn, what an oversight!

Luckily, he was quick-witted enough to say, ”These are the meals I got from the cafeteria...”

Haimie snorted coldly, still performing, I’d like to see how long you can keep this up, she said half-mockingly, ”There are cameras in the cafeteria. I’ll just ask Cangyu to check the footage to see if you are lying or not...”

Damn, to think she’s the chairman, so intelligent it blows my mind!

In front of the astute Haimie, Ye Haochuan felt like he was being calculated at every turn.

Sighing, he adopted an honest look and said, ”Alright, alright, I admit it. This box of food was a gift from a female student who came in for a consult this morning. I told her I didn’t want it, but she insisted on giving it. Ah, it’s a headache being so handsome, all these little crazies flock to me like moths to a flame.”

This jerk, spewing lies and still shamelessly boasting about himself?

Haimie glared at him resentfully. She wanted to lash out, but without solid evidence, she thought, I’ll let you off this time, but next time, when I catch you red-handed, where will you run?

”Alright, let’s leave this matter behind,” Haimie waved her hand, her expression still appearing to mock, ”I heard that yesterday you were with Doctor Kou, first pretending to be her boyfriend, and then you jumped off a cliff on Phoenix Mountain for her, is that right?”

At the mention of this, Ye Haochuan’s heart skipped a beat, damn it, now the heat’s on Doctor Kou.
