Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Really So Bored (The Third Wave Erupts)

Kou Jing had just brought Ye Haochuan into the clinic when Senior Godly Doctor Kou noticed the two of them.

With a hearty smile, Senior Godly Doctor Kou waved to Ye Haochuan and said, ”Junior Brother Ye, come here, come here...”

Seeing his kind and benevolent expression, Ye Haochuan suddenly felt a warmth in his heart and hurried forward with a quick trot, respectfully saying, ”Old Master Kou...”

Senior Godly Doctor Kou stood up, glanced at his granddaughter Kou Jing who had reached the cash register, and smiled, ”Jingjing tells me, young man, that you are extremely efficient in diagnosing patients at your university hospital, and you haven’t even had a single misdiagnosis. Come, come, I’m an old man who’s been busy all day; you come and take a look at them for me.”

Ye Haochuan replied with a wry smile, ”Old Master Kou, isn’t that inappropriate?”

The patient currently being examined by Senior Godly Doctor Kou on the consultation table also felt a bit unsure about Ye Haochuan, seeing how young he was.

Senior Godly Doctor Kou smiled at the patient while stroking his beard, ”No problem, no problem. My Junior Brother Ye here has medical skills even better than this old man. Let him have a look at you, and I, Kou Zhonghua, will take responsibility for everything.”

At that, the patient obediently closed his mouth, but his eyes still cast a distrustful glance at Ye Haochuan.

Unable to decline Kou Zhonghua’s enthusiastic invitation, Ye Haochuan sat down, ”Then I shall be so bold as to make a fool of myself before Old Master Kou.”

The patient sitting in front of the consultation table was an elderly man. Ye Haochuan merely took one look at him, and with the aid of his Perspective Eye, he immediately diagnosed, ”Elder, you have pain in your limbs and joints, am I right?”

The elderly man was taken aback, thinking to himself that this young man had yet to perform the traditional four diagnostic methods and had still hit the nail on the head. Could his medical expertise truly surpass that of Senior Godly Doctor Kou?

”Yes!” the elderly man exclaimed in shock.

Ye Haochuan smiled slightly, ”Elder, you have chronic rheumatoid arthritis, caused by prolonged exposure of the joints to cold. Alright, lie down on the bed next to you. I will use Acupuncture to warm and expel the cold, gradually unblocking your chilled joints.”

Still somewhat worried, the elderly man glanced at Kou Zhonghua, who gave him an assuring look, saying, ”Don’t underestimate my Junior Brother Ye because of his age; his medical skills are indeed superior to mine.”

Only then did the elderly man nod his head and, following Ye Haochuan’s instructions, lay down on the hospital bed and rolled up his sleeves and pant legs.

Ye Haochuan pulled out the Needle Bag he carried with him, selected a Silver Needle, and accurately inserted it into the acupoints of the elderly man’s joints with practiced skill, greatly impressing Kou Zhonghua.

Once the needling was finished, Ye Haochuan began to gently twist the ends of the needles, channelling Longevity True Qi through the Silver Needle into the acupoints to warm the area and drive out the cold...

As time ticked by, Ye Haochuan finally concluded the session, and the elderly man on the bed felt a decrease in the pain at his limbs and joints, praising Ye Haochuan and giving him a thumbs-up.

Ye Haochuan smiled gently, ”Elder, what I did was merely alleviate the symptoms, not cure the root cause. After all, you’re getting on in years, and your body’s functions aren’t what they used to be. Therefore, you need to pay more attention to self-care. Aside from participating in more outdoor activities, you should also focus more on herbal dietary therapy.”

”Herbal dietary therapy?” the elderly man asked, puzzled.

Ye Haochuan nodded, ”Yes, herbal dietary therapy. How about this, I’ll prescribe a fairly inexpensive dietary recipe for you, simmered eel.”

”Good, good, good...” the elderly man repeatedly expressed his approval. Eels were fairly inexpensive and within his budget.

Ye Haochuan then started to take out a prescription form and quickly wrote on it.

At that moment, Kou Jing brought over a cup of buckwheat tea and handed it to Ye Haochuan.

Kou Zhonghua teased with a laugh, ”Jing Girl, you only serve your sweetheart tea, not bothering to serve this old man anymore?”

Sweetheart?

Ye Haochuan mused with a bit of amusement; could Doctor Kou, known as the Iceberg Goddess, be moved by her ”Red Strings of Fate” for him? That would be a joyous event!

Caught by her grandfather saying that Ye Haochuan was her sweetheart, Kou Jing’s pretty face flushed red, and she explained, ”Grandfather, don’t you only love drinking Longjing tea?”

”Hehe, that’s true,” Kou Zhonghua laughed, looking up. ”But, you brought up the bitter buckwheat tea without even asking Junior Brother Ye if he wanted any. Did you ask him?”

Reminded by Kou Zhonghua, Ye Haochuan also felt a bit puzzled. He did like to drink bitter buckwheat tea, but he had never mentioned it to anyone. How did Doctor Kou know?

With this thought, he turned his gaze towards Kou Jing.

Seeing his gaze coming her way, Kou Jing’s heart started pounding rapidly, and she said somewhat awkwardly, ”Grandpa, why ask so many questions? I won’t tell you.”

Blushing, she ran off like she was escaping.

Seeing this, Ye Haochuan understood. Damn, he hadn’t expected that Doctor Kou was so attentive to him, having even figured out his preference for bitter buckwheat tea. What a secretive guy, heh heh!

Touched by the beauty’s kindness, Ye Haochuan lifted the bitter buckwheat tea and took a small sip, a look of bliss on his face, ”The taste is good.”

Next to him, Kou Zhonghua’s old face was filled with smiles, his clouded eyes brimming with appreciation and satisfaction.

Swoosh swoosh swoosh...

Ye Haochuan soon wrote down a culinary prescription for ”Braised Eel” on the prescription paper.

Kou Zhonghua took a quick look and nodded continuously, muttering, ”Not bad, not bad... even the method of preparation is written down.”

Handing the culinary prescription to the old man, Ye Haochuan advised, ”Uncle, this culinary prescription is effective for replenishing Qi, nourishing blood, removing dampness, and strengthening tendons. Remember to eat it regularly. If the financial situation at home is average, you can have it once every two or three days, but it’s not suitable to stop for too long.”

The old man thanked him profusely before leaving. As he left, he couldn’t stop praising Ye Haochuan as ”Junior Godly Doctor” to the patients waiting behind him.

This stirred up some excitement among the other waiting patients.

Kou Zhonghua quickly tried to calm them down, ”Everyone, don’t panic, let’s take it one at a time...”

Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but smile bitterly. It seemed that Old Master Kou had simply called him here today to be put to work like a draft animal.

But after all, he was Doctor Kou’s grandfather, and Ye Haochuan felt he had to endure it. Otherwise, if he couldn’t get past Elder Kou, how would he ever win over an Iceberg Goddess like Kou Jing?

With a change of mentality, Ye Haochuan treated each patient seriously, doing his best to diagnose and heal.

Because of his efficiency, in less than an hour, the dozen or so waiting patients had all left the clinic, thanking him profusely.

With no more patients, Kou Zhonghua pulled Ye Haochuan to the back hall, where the young and the old started discussing their experiences and insights into Traditional Chinese Medicine. They got along very well, feeling regret that they hadn’t met sooner.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen of the back hall, Kou Jing and the hired housekeeper were busy steaming rice and frying dishes, the fragrance wafting out and refreshing the senses.

”Junior Brother Ye, there’s something I, this old coot, can’t hold back anymore. The Traditional Chinese Medicine college you attended is not very famous, and the teaching staff is limited. How could they have possibly taught a Traditional Chinese Medicine genius like you? Have you taken any advanced placement exams?” Kou Zhonghua asked with curiosity.

”Haha!” Ye Haochuan laughed, looking up and teasing, ”Elder Kou, I don’t even know which way the doors open for any advanced placement exams.”

”Oh?” Kou Zhonghua was moved, ”Did you teach yourself to become so skilled?”

”That... not exactly, it’s a Ye Family heritage,” Ye Haochuan said without batting an eyelid.

Kou Zhonghua suddenly realized and was about to ask more about the Ye Family situation when Tang Zhen, who was keeping watch in the clinic’s main hall, suddenly rushed in, panicked, ”Master, that rude and overbearing shrew is here again!”

Kou Zhonghua stood up angrily, ”Does she ever stop? Have I not made myself clear? I really can’t cure her son’s hidden ailment of impotence, so why does she keep harassing us?”
