Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 248: Chapter 248: Who Says Women Are Inferior to Men? I Think They Can Hold Up Half the Sky!

Hearing him say, ”Someone else might be more up to the task,” both Elder Xiao and Xiao Feng’s faces changed.

Elder Xiao was just a bit puzzled, thinking to himself how this young chap could know his grandson’s illness was incurable without even looking at him?

Xiao Feng, on the other hand, immediately looked displeased. This youngster was so arrogantly spoken, daring to refuse on the spot. As the esteemed executive CEO of the Xiao Group, renowned and influential, when had he ever been refused like this?

As for Xiao Feng, Ye Haochuan couldn’t be bothered to explain, but for the kind and affable Elder Xiao, he certainly owed an explanation.

Taking Elder Xiao aside, Ye Haochuan then recounted the scandal of Xiao Ding’s collusion with Yang Hao in an attempt to forcefully disgrace Xiao Haimei.

”What? Can such a thing be true?” Elder Xiao could hardly believe it, his face showing shock.

”It’s absolutely true,” Ye Haochuan affirmed, nodding, ”Elder Xiao, to tell you the truth, the reason your grandson Xiao Ding is in his current state is because of a restriction I placed on him.”

”Beast! Beast!” Elder Xiao exploded in rage.

Ye Haochuan wasn’t surprised by Elder Xiao’s reaction and said, ”Originally, I thought, as long as he seriously repented, removing his restriction wouldn’t be a problem. However, after such a grave incident, he still didn’t come forward to admit his wrongdoing to you, so, I refused him just now. Of course, if you insist, I have nothing more to say and will remove his restriction immediately.”

”No need! My Xiao Family has no room for such brute beasts!”

Having said that, Elder Xiao shouted loudly, ”Come here!”

In an instant, bodyguards who had been secretly protecting Elder Xiao nearby rushed forward at his call.

”Throw that beast Xiao Ding out!” Elder Xiao seemed to sense something improper and added another line, ”Throw him out the back door!”

All the bodyguards were stunned. Throw out Young Master Sun?

”What are you waiting for?” Elder Xiao’s face was full of anger as he shouted.

Left with no choice, the bodyguards had to comply.

On the other side, Xiao Feng’s face became exceedingly ugly, and he stepped forward, saying, ”Dad, Ding is your grandson, even if he has erred, can you really be so heartless?”

”Heartless?” Elder Xiao furiously retorted on the spot, ”Am I the heartless one? That wretched creature dared to taint... to harm his own sister, did he think about being heartless then?”

Xiao Feng was left speechless, unable to respond.

Elder Xiao then urged the bodyguards to act promptly.

Before long, the bodyguards dragged a thoroughly defeated Xiao Ding out, while Yang Xue, who had been in the room accompanying her son all along, screamed loudly, ”What are you doing? Do you still want to work for the Xiao Family? Let go of him! If you dare lay another hand on him, I’ll have you all dismissed!”

Elder Xiao’s brow furrowed deeply. Today was his 70th birthday celebration, and Yang Xue, that shrew, was creating a ruckus. How could this not be bad luck?

Reflecting on the past, for the sake of his son and the harmony of the family, he had repeatedly given in to Yang Xue and her son. To his dismay, they had grown more audacious, even daring to not spare his beloved granddaughter this time.

This crossed his bottom line and was unforgivable!

”Wretched woman, keep making noise, and believe it or not, I’ll throw you out along with her?” Elder Xiao shouted.

At this point, Yang Xue was also losing her restraint and screamed like a fishwife, ”You old fool, do you think I’m scared of you? If you have the guts, throw me out too!”

”It’s an uprising, an absolute rebellion!” Elder Xiao was so angered his whiskers trembled, ”Throw her out as well!”

At that, Yang Xue screamed even louder, clearly intending to alert the guests outside, intent on disrupting the birthday festivities.

”Throw her out, throw her out!” Elder Xiao was nearly bursting with fury. Such a shrew was simply an embarrassment.

Ye Haochuan whispered at this moment, ”Old Master, how about I seal her acupoint so the outside guests won’t hear and spoil their mood?”

Old Master Xiao was stunned for a second.

Only then did Ye Haochuan realize, although Long Xiaotian was an old acquaintance of Old Master Xiao, he hadn’t disclosed his own circumstances to him, which explained the slight bewilderment of Old Master Xiao.

Without waiting for Old Master Xiao’s approval, Ye Haochuan promptly sealed Yang Xue’s acupoint in mid-air.

Now, the loudly shouting Yang Xue suddenly couldn’t move or even speak.

Seeing Ye Haochuan’s move, a hint of surprise flashed in Old Master Xiao’s eyes, clearly not expecting Ye Haochuan to possess such ability.

On the other side, when Xiao Feng saw Ye Haochuan take action against his woman, his face changed, and his hatred for Ye Haochuan deepened, but faced with his own father, he dared not lash out, barely holding back his anger, he said, ”Dad, Xiao Ding is your own grandson, are you really going to be so ruthless?”

”There’s no place in the Xiao Family for such beasts. From now on, that shrew and that little brute are no longer part of the Xiao Family. If you keep prattling, you can roll out of the Xiao Family as well!” Old Master Xiao roared angrily.

Xiao Feng dared not say more and obediently shut his mouth, but as he looked at Ye Haochuan, his eyes shimmered with a sharp glint, a hint of murderous intent appearing.

At this moment, the bodyguards, following Old Master Xiao’s instructions, dragged Yang Xue and mother and son, Xiao Ding, out through the back door.

Xiao Feng stomped his foot and had no choice but to follow them.

Seeing his son eventually leave with Yang Xue and Xiao Ding, Old Master Xiao felt an immense sorrow in his heart, seeming to age a great deal in an instant. If Ye Haochuan hadn’t quickly supported him and comforted, ”Old Master, it’s not worth getting angry over them. Think of your granddaughter. If she really had been harmed by that beast, could you have endured it?”

Old Master Xiao said with a touch of sorrow, ”Alas, it’s a pity that the great Xiao Family enterprise may end up without a successor.”

Ye Haochuan laughed at this, saying, ”Old Master Xiao, you’re worrying too much. What era are we in now? Who says the family business must be passed down to a son and not a daughter? Who says women are inferior to men? I say they are more than capable of holding up half the sky!”

”Holding up half the sky...” Old Master Xiao murmured to himself, then suddenly came to a realization and Haimei laughed heartily, ”Good lad, well said, well said!”

Ye Haochuan smiled slightly, noticing that Old Master Xiao had overcome his preference for males over females in his heart.

”Young Chap Ye, I’ll leave Haimie in your care from now on. But, I have one condition: if Haimie gives birth to a boy or a girl in the future, at least one must bear the Xiao surname. How does that sound?” Old Master Xiao said with a look of anticipation.

Seeing Old Master Xiao take this stance, Ye Haochuan was delighted, as the words clearly signified his complete acceptance of Ye Haochuan as his future grandson-in-law.

”What does it matter? If Sister Mei truly gives birth to a boy or a girl, whether they bear the surname Ye or Xiao, aren’t they all my children, Ye Haochuan’s?” Ye Haochuan replied generously.

Old Master Xiao was instantly overjoyed, laughing heartily, and all his previous displeasure and anger evaporated.

Afterward, Old Master Xiao took him outside to meet the guests, introducing him to everyone as his future grandson-in-law.

Ye Haochuan did not disappoint him, handling himself well and receiving high praise from all the guests.

The birthday banquet soon began.

Xiao Haimei also took a brief rest and looked much better, radiant and enticing as she came down, which greatly tempted Ye Haochuan.

At the same time, Ye Haochuan noticed that beside her, there was another beauty in an off-shoulder dress with shoulder-length curly hair, who had an enchanting figure and exuded the demeanor of a rich heiress. She was surely a lady from a wealthy family.

Seeing how intimately Xiao Haimei and she were interacting, Ye Haochuan guessed she must be Xiao Haimei’s close girlfriend or friend.

However, while Ye Haochuan appraised her, she was also sizing him up, her eyes occasionally showing a hint of a smile, and it wasn’t a good-natured smile.

Ye Haochuan, being who he is, could clearly see the implication. He mischievously thought to himself: Damn, this woman couldn’t have taken a fancy to me, could she? Sigh, too much charm is really a curse!
