Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

When that Stellar-level existence won and returned, he gazed deeply at the surrounding Subspace, yet failed to find the slightest trace. He couldn’t help but bow deeply toward the place where Power had just erupted, regardless of whether Jia Yan was still there or not.

In fact, Jia Yan had already left.

”I’ve helped with this battlefield, but there are still far too many battles below, there’s even a Fleet led by a Semi-permanent Star Level, confronting a Fleet that has a Stellar-level existence. For this kind of situation, I have to carefully think about how to help them reestablish an advantage...”

After watching this battle between high-level Strong Ones, Jia Yan not only didn’t feel any joy at having helped win this small battlefield, his mood even grew heavier.

One had to know, that Stellar-level Strong One was already a Subordinate that was hard for Jia Yan to come by, yet the other side had so many Stellar-levels.

Just by comparing, it was clear the gap between the two sides was enormous.

Not only in technology, but also in the number of Strong Ones, the difference was far too large.

”Helping with this one fight is useless. Because the gap is too big, I can help with one battle, but I can’t help with all of them.”

”The other side hasn’t even gone all out. Kill one Stellar-level and another Stellar-level will appear. On our side, simple headcount in Strong Ones is far below theirs. Even if we use my Yin-Yang Tactical Art to gain some advantages, the fundamental disparity in basic strength is a brutally objective reality.”

Jia Yan had a headache.

From this battle he also saw that, in the end, that Stellar-level Strong One on his side had used his Yin-Yang Tactical Art. Although it was obvious that this being had rarely been personally instructed by Jia Yan, he still possessed a certain attainment in the Yin-Yang Dao, and thus was able, in a battle between two Stellar-level Strong Ones, to finally fight the opponent to a draw, even pulling slightly ahead.

But this kind of improvement and advantage was still too small.

”Just cultivating the Yin-Yang Dao alone is not enough to let the Orion Arm win this war. At most, it will only drag things out a bit longer. Then I need to think whether there is some way to give the Orion Arm another kind of advantage...”

In Subspace, Jia Yan was constantly pondering.

Then, over the next three days, he inspected several nearby battlefields and watched several engagements.

”Sigh, this one was lost again. Although my secret intervention kept the defeat from being too ugly and reduced the casualties, a loss is still a loss.”

One day, as Jia Yan watched with his own eyes an Orion Arm Fleet on a certain battlefield get crushed under an enemy iron tide, he exhaled once more.

”No, we’re not just losing on individual strength, even our command in war has problems. After all, the enemy is a deeply rooted Starfield, and they must have gone through many real wars. The disadvantage this creates in warfare is being infinitely magnified.”

Feeling yet another layer of disparity appear, Jia Yan was practically a little despairing.

”Could it be I really have to use my final move? Doing that will definitely have a huge impact on the populace, and could even cause massive danger in the future. Unless it’s absolutely necessary, I definitely don’t want to use that method.”

Jia Yan thought about many things, but no matter how he turned it over in his mind, he couldn’t find any way to address the current disadvantage.

”First of all, if we want to hold out for a while, we need our army to grow stronger. And the way to grow stronger, apart from improving Battleship technology, is to improve the strength of the soldiers and Strong Ones themselves. But how could that be so easy to accomplish? If it were easy, the powerful Civilizations in this Universe wouldn’t all need such a long period of evolution before reaching the Level of a powerful Civilization.”

Silently thinking this, Jia Yan then overturned his own ideas one by one.

Many of them were too fantastical.

”If we can’t raise technology and individual strength high enough, then...”

Suddenly, Jia Yan switched his line of thinking.

”Why not improve group-style ways of fighting?”

Staring blankly, he thought of a certain method.

”Right, back in the Divine Spirit Major Domain, I taught squad members group-style ways of fighting. Those group-style methods were even created by integrating the combat skills of the Divine Spirit Major Domain. You have to know, the Divine Spirit Major Domain stands firm in the Universe precisely because of its group-style combat Skills...”

Once this spark of Inspiration appeared, a flood of follow-up ideas became impossible to suppress.

Jia Yan came up with many ideas on how to refine this notion.

”It will definitely work. Didn’t I already, for a long time, promote the practice of all beings Inside the Orion Arm learning the Yin-Yang Dao? Many low-level Strong Ones, as well as mid- and high-level Strong Ones, have referenced or even switched to primarily cultivating my Yin-Yang Dao. In that case, a Yin-Yang Joint Battle method really might be something I can teach to many Strong Ones...”

Now that such a bold idea had arisen, Jia Yan would not let it go, at least not without trying it once.

”Good, now I’ll pick a battle zone and let them try it.”

Jia Yan suddenly took out a communicator, then summoned the closest Subordinate who was very familiar with Joint techniques.

”Tian Niu Lang, come here and teach the troops in this war zone some Joint techniques. If it works, we can promote this way of fighting to the entire army.”

Far away, more than fifty light-years from Jia Yan, Tian Niu Lang had originally been overseeing another war zone, but after receiving Jia Yan’s signal, his eyes immediately lit up.
