Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

He knows that the person who plans to undertake a grand construction across the entire Biochemical Star Region and the Orion Arm is undoubtedly his father, Jia Yan. However, he is completely unaware of Jia Yan’s intentions or thoughts.

Nonetheless, Jia Rong knows that the things he wants to accomplish are ones that neither Jia Yan can refuse nor control.

Even though Jia Yan has gradually faded from being the main influence in Jia Rong’s life, he never harbors any thoughts of surpassing Jia Yan. Yet, for Jia Rong, his father is a lifelong burden that cannot be ignored so easily.

This massive task has again become a major obstacle to Jia Rong’s judgment.

During the previous battles between the Orion Arm and the Biochemical Star Region, he had already returned to this side of the Orion Arm and repeatedly achieved military accomplishments on the battlefield, eventually leading to his current position.

Of course, Jia Rong is well aware of how much of his military achievements were intentionally attributed to him by others and how many were completed under covert protection.

He did not reject the preferential treatment given to him by others because he had come to accept that his conditions and background are advantages that cannot be changed, much like how he considers Earth his homeland. So why resist?

On the contrary, he wishes to use such conditions to change certain things, such as helping those he couldn’t help before or climbing higher in power. Since he can never surpass that person in strength, he wants to ensure the citizens under his ruling live good lives and that future generations will remember Jia Rong as someone equally noteworthy.

Jia Rong’s intentions are naturally good, but he is also wondering whether, as his subordinates just mentioned, he might be too soft-hearted?

The task above is to speed up the production process. Although he doesn’t know what the higher-ups, or Jia Yan, want to achieve, he knows Jia Yan is never one to act aimlessly, and as a Galaxy Level Existence, he certainly wouldn’t waste time and effort on futile matters.

”What should I do? Should I allow my subordinates a certain degree of coercion or continue the current governance policy?”

In such circumstances, Jia Rong is at a loss.

The intense construction would inevitably provoke public dissatisfaction, especially since this area was reclaimed in the later stages of the Biochemical Star Region’s recovery, and its economy and culture are already in ruins. For him to ramp up development would face numerous challenges, such as financial shortfalls. To emulate leaders from other places by forcing low-paid labor on the civilians is something Jia Rong is absolutely unwilling to do.

”If that person were here, what would he do?”

Jia Rong is quite confused and wonders what Jia Yan would do if he were here.

But a casual thought yields the answer.

As for Jia Yan, as long as they are not Earth people, it seems he can be heartless, daring to send entire species to their demise.

But Jia Rong cannot do that. Though he has regained the handsome and exotic looks he inherited from his mother’s side, his heart remains kind and he has no desire to use such harsh governance methods on the citizens, much less exploit them for labor.

”Forget it, I’ll just head to the planet beneath my feet and take a look.”

Jia Rong has studied governance academically, but now he is completely unsure about what to do.

So he chooses a simple method, directly jumping onto the planet below to see what kind of life the ordinary citizens are living and how they view the oppressive governance policies.

However, as his small ship slowly descends to the planet, a faint shadow quietly follows behind.

”There aren’t any Stellar Level Strong Ones on this planet, so my protection alone is sufficient.”

The entity says lightly over the communication line, and then steps across hundreds of kilometers as if walking through the Starry Sky, following the ship down to the planet.

Jia Rong is completely unaware of the person following him, but he knows very well that he is definitely being protected.

Therefore, he has little concern for his own safety.

This planet is only half the size of Earth, even smaller than Mars.

On this planet, the strongest might only be a dignified Respect Level master, who couldn’t even match Jia Rong in battle, so security is not a concern at all.

Jia Rong’s battleship ranks highest in our defenses, and the planetary anti-air recognition network completely passes him.

”This is a planet with a diameter of over five thousand kilometers. Though it seems large, compared to powerful creatures, it’s not very imposing.”

Jia Rong, while descending in the ship, starts randomly musing about the Strong Ones.

Although Jia Yan is intentionally someone Jia Rong chooses not to focus on, his shadow looms like a growing darkness, engulfing every aspect of his life.

With Talent inferior to that of his so-called father, Jia Rong has escaped to the recently reclaimed part of Biochemical Star Region where Jia Yan’s influence is presumably weaker. Yet, he has continuously heard about Jia Yan recently.

And this news is incredibly shocking—Jia Yan has achieved Galaxy status and has slain three Galaxy Level Powerhouses.

Such terrifying news would undoubtedly spread wildly everywhere.

”Now, he must be around thirty to fifty kilometers in size; that would be no small presence on a planet. Compared to the three-thousand-kilometer Moon, it’s on a small mountain scale, and his silhouette is visible from Earth if he lands on the Moon...”

Jia Rong can hardly imagine what it feels like to reach Galaxy Level, and he knows he will never comprehend the sensations of such a level in his lifetime.

So he doesn’t know whether he should feel happy for his father, or sorrowful for himself.

For a child who knows he cannot surpass his father in a lifetime, this is an extremely painful realization—even knowing that the super strong Jia Yan will outlive ordinary powerhouses like himself by countless generations, intensifying his frustration.

Imagine hearing that the son has died while the father is barely in the prime of life; that would sound peculiar to anyone.

”Enough thinking, I see that the life forms on this planet seem to live very poorly?”

Jia Rong reaches the surface of the planet and sees simple shacks, with various creatures laboring sparsely in production and life.

Due to low power levels, most creatures are not large. There are naturally massive species in the Universe, but they are relatively rare due to the Cosmic Laws.

Generally, naturally-born intelligent creatures are typically no taller than ten meters. Animals larger than that generally have no need to evolve into intelligent beings because they can be all-powerful within a planet.

Jia Rong integrates into these species, not standing out much, except for his clothing and equipment, which look very new.

”Hey, you must be new here. Ha ha, nice outfit.”

When Jia Rong walks to an area reminiscent of a slum, several figures surround him.

These figures all have guns—it’s quite normal for citizens who have survived the great ruin to have no self-defense capabilities.

”Hmm? What do you want to do?”

Jia Rong is slightly startled, then he sternly asks them.
