Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

However, this area is still considered part of the Original Star Territory, so there is some output, but it falls short of Jia Yan’s expectations. At least there hasn’t been any stagnation, which is already a good thing.

”Oh? So Xiaorong, that kid, is in the other half of the Biochemical Star Region? Well, it’s time for him to hone himself.”

When Jia Yan saw the intelligence report mentioning that Jia Rong was in the recently regained territory of the Biochemical Star Region, he smiled slightly.

However, he didn’t want to disturb this step-son’s plans. After seeing the intelligence, he decided not to delve deeper, since this son is not that young anymore and doesn’t need his supervision.

To be honest, Jia Yan knew that apart from giving him the status of ’Son of the Giant Mosquito,’ he really hadn’t done much for him.

”I wonder how Samo Ling is doing over there in the Biochemical Star Region.”

Jia Yan looked at the intelligence again and inexplicably searched for information about Samo Ling, his step-wife.

Although he didn’t have strong feelings for this step-wife, during his last visit home, he had started to feel better about Samo Ling. After all, she had taken matters into her own hands back then and gave birth to Jia Rong. Her performance since then had been quite commendable.

So for some reason, Jia Yan found himself somewhat attached to her.

When checking the intelligence, Jia Yan discovered that Samo Ling was in a small civilization in the Biochemical Star Region. This civilization was the one that had attacked the Orion Arm, causing a massive loss of territory and casualties among many civilizations back then.

They created the ’Biochemical Empire,’ but under Jia Yan’s assault, this empire quickly turned to dust and became a thing of the past. Samo Ling then severed ties with her parents.

When Jia Yan and his forces counterattacked the Biochemical Star Region and gained control of its territories, Samo Ling discovered that her parents had moved to a small civilization there. Unfortunately, her father died in a conflict, and her mother refused to leave. So once Samo Ling found her, she moved to be by her mother’s side.

It coincidentally happened when Jia Rong ran away from home. Jia Yan could probably guess that Samo Ling thought that once her son was raised, her mission was complete.

”Sigh... in the end, what do I really feel about her?”

Jia Yan pondered for a while and then let it go.

For several days, Jia Yan had been investigating and organizing the intelligence and data he had received.

After reviewing everything until his head spun, even a Galaxy Level Powerhouse like Jia Yan felt dizzy and nearly couldn’t keep himself steady.

”I really am only suited for fighting; handling this kind of work isn’t for me.”

Jia Yan set down the Smart Brain.

In the starry sky, Jia Yan resided in a massive structure quickly constructed by a country of elves.

Though not exactly exquisite, buildings suitable for someone of Jia Yan’s size were exceedingly rare, so he was quite content living there.

The simple structure, over a thousand kilometers long, was made of hollow materials, fragile enough that a touch from Jia Yan could collapse it. But at least it blocked the view, and from the outside, it looked quite grand.

So Jia Yan lived happily there, and despite the smaller size of many of the technological devices inside, he found them satisfying. There were enormous televisions and similar devices, though merely projection walls, but they helped create the feeling of home.

”Next, I’ll take a bath. I don’t remember when was the last time I bathed. Showering at such a massive scale feels like the ultimate luxury. Just one bath would consume the equivalent water of an ocean on Earth. Only interstellar civilizations could afford this.”

Jia Yan enjoyed top-level treatment. Although for many in interstellar civilizations this treatment was everyday life, for a creature of such colossal scale as Jia Yan, it was happiness he hadn’t experienced in years.

”Not bad; this bath feels very comfortable. What is this civilization called? They resemble elves, so I just called them the Elf Kingdom. Their native name is too hard to pronounce... Oh, haha, they actually went and changed their country’s name to Elf Country... They’ve flattered me quickly.”

Jia Yan discovered that the Elf Country had changed its name according to his casual comment, shamelessly claiming it was bestowed by Jia Yan himself, which made him both amused and exasperated.

Had the Elf Country known that Jia Yan personally noticed their name change, they might have been so happy that they would faint.

It’s important to know that, despite Jia Yan staying in their Elf Country for so long, he barely paid attention to it. He basically just picked a place at random. While the Elf Country did gain endless benefits as a result, anyone with insight would know that aside from leaving a slight impression on Jia Yan, there wouldn’t be any additional benefits.

But at least their wonderful service yielded results, as Jia Yan remembered them a bit more.

Just as Jia Yan was about to learn more about this country, he suddenly received an emergency signal from afar.

”Uh? This signal is using quantum subspace communication. Who would be so extravagant, using such an urgent communication method? Don’t they know every second of this communication costs astronomical sums?”

Jia Yan was momentarily stunned and then answered the communication.

The communication came from Tian Niu Lang, who, after leaving Jia Yan’s place, headed towards the other half of the Biochemical Star Region.

This subordinate, worn out from travel, had just recently returned after several months to the other part of the Biochemical Star Region, near the Empire border.

Just upon arrival, he discovered some unique situations and quickly requested to communicate with Jia Yan.

”Tian Niu Lang, what’s going on? You just arrived back to your domain and you’re contacting me already?”

Jia Yan was slightly puzzled as he observed the somewhat blurry image on the other end.

”Lord, something’s wrong. I’ve noticed an unusual atmosphere.”

Tian Niu Lang, understanding the value of time, used the Brainwave Power communication method typically reserved for the Strong Ones, a method that could convey the content of an entire classic novel in a second.

”Oh, what’s unusual about the atmosphere?”

Jia Yan asked curiously.

”Enemies, my lord, I sense there may be enemies approaching from my area.”

”Hmm?”

Upon hearing Tian Niu Lang’s words, Jia Yan, who previously didn’t consider this communication too important, was suddenly alerted. His Giant Mosquito eyes gleamed with intense light.

Jia Yan had always known that his intuition could be indicative, and it led to the activation of the two major Starfield production capabilities.

Yet, if asked to explain the exact source of his crisis feeling, he couldn’t pinpoint it.

However, the source of his sense of crisis may soon be revealed.

”Tell me, what enemy signs have you noticed?”

Jia Yan’s eyes flared, transforming him from a relatively benevolent Lord into a combat-efficient Galaxy Level Powerhouse in an instant.

”Uh.” Even though separated by immense time and distance, Tian Niu Lang felt a shiver under Jia Yan’s gaze.

That is the strength of a Galaxy Level Powerhouse, and not just any standard Galaxy Level Powerhouse, but someone on the verge of being considered a competent hand among those at the River Among the Stars Early Stage. For a Middle-order Powerhouse like Tian Niu Lang, the pressure was naturally immense.

But after the brief pause, Tian Niu Lang proceeded to explain his findings.

”Lord, I can’t guarantee what it is, but scouts have reported that within the Empire border an enormous military force is mobilizing. Moreover, it’s not just the Empire’s forces; vast troops are converging from surrounding Starfields as well...”
