Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Jia Yan observed the data, and although overall the Orion Arm Allied Forces were still retreating against the enemy, almost like a cat playing with a mouse, at least it didn’t look as bad as before.

Within a week, the entire Orion Arm and Biochemical Star Region were pushed back by half a light-year of territory by the enemy, meaning the entire Orion Arm Alliance area had shrunk considerably.

On the Orion Arm’s side, thanks to Predecessor Tian Ji’s barrier-like energy presence, relatively few areas had been breached. Even though the enemy had entered inside the Orion Arm, environmental issues made progress difficult. Using those machines to change the environment would take more time, so the delay here was very useful.

Although the Biochemical Star Region was collapsing, construction had already started throughout the region, so ships and battleships were fairly abundant. Even if the usual fleets were sufficient, more than half of the populace could board ships to escape.

For the people of the Biochemical Star Region, having seen how the Empire previously treated civilians, nearly half the Biochemical Star Region’s population had been killed. This gave them a reason not to surrender or give up the fight, so unexpectedly, the Biochemical Star Region had the highest enlistment and recruitment rates within the Orion Arm Alliance.

In some sense, the Biochemical Star Region and Orion Arm truly integrated together, like one entity, with no distinction between each other.

It can be foreseen that if the Orion Arm Alliance can withstand this war, then even removing the name Biochemical Star Region and collectively calling it Orion Arm in the future might not be an issue for its people, as everyone has almost fused into one.

Of course, those are future matters, and currently, dealing with foreign enemies remains the most urgent.

”Quick, quick, quick, our goal is to protect the fleeing civilian fleet ahead, and prevent the enemy fleet behind from catching up to them.”

”No, Lord Jia Rong, you should escape first, let us handle these matters.”

Boom boom boom.

In the interstellar space, countless rays of light shot forth.

Countless civilians hid within a massive fleet, yet because most of the transport ships in this fleet couldn’t enhance their speed quickly, the enemy warships caught up from behind.

The fleet responsible for covering the retreat was led by Jia Rong.

At this moment, Jia Rong had cast aside his initial lack of confidence and experience; within a short time, he learned a lot.

If he shared one similarity with Jia Yan, it would be Jia Rong’s determination once he decided on something, much like Jia Yan’s tenacity in face of obstacles.

At this moment, Jia Rong was equally determined to protect all civilians, and he acted accordingly.

”No need to worry, the fleet chasing us this time isn’t those new Outsiders, it’s an Imperial Fleet, which is practically an old friend to us, isn’t it? Though our performance is slightly inferior, we certainly have defensive measures. Honestly, if it weren’t for escorting civilians, I would turn around and fight them. I believe we can win, haha.”

Jia Rong didn’t seem to pay any heed to the pursuing enemy fleet.

”Young Master, please don’t entertain such thoughts. Regardless of whether we can fight, your safety is the priority.”

Beside Jia Rong, the Stellar Class protector nearly broke into a sweat.

He was not overly worried about his own safety because at most, there was only one Stellar Class strong opponent on the enemy warships behind. He believed that even if he was overpowered, he should be capable of escaping.

However, if he aimed to protect someone else while escaping, even if that person was a relatively small Earth-sized Jia Rong in comparison to his stature, he thought dragging this burden might greatly reduce his escape chances and make it difficult to ensure the safety of the Young Master.

That’s why he was anxious.

”No need to worry; I can take care of myself, and I possess certain things you’re not aware of, certain kinds of power.”

Jia Rong said calmly.

During this time, he looked at his arm.

Actually, Jia Rong knew that some of the power infused into him by ’Giant Mosquito’ last time seemed to linger slightly. Moreover, he wondered whether Giant Mosquito had added more to it, as there seemed to be a surplus, which gave him strong confidence in his own safety.

If the power transferred to his body by that entity remained at its former level, forget merely a Stellar Class Junior, even a Middle Level Stellar might stand a chance of immediate destruction.

However, Jia Rong sought to validate himself and was determined to avoid being seen as relying on his elders; unless absolutely necessary, he wouldn’t let himself fall into dire situations and prompt Giant Mosquito’s power to intervene for protection.

”Uh, anyhow, Young Master, please pay close attention to your safety, those civilians, no matter how many, can’t compare to the importance of your life.”

The Stellar Class protector sighed at Jia Rong helplessly.

Nevertheless, he didn’t say anything further, because he clearly understood that the enigmatic strength of a Galaxy Level individual was indeed incredible. If Jia Rong himself mentioned that the Galaxy Level Lord had implemented protective measures for him, then he would believe it, for Galaxy Level tactics were known to effortlessly eliminate someone from afar.

With this in mind, his mood relaxed a bit.

”Escape, escape, escape, instruct the civilian fleet ahead to employ ultra-fast propulsion.”

”Ah, Lord Jia Rong, if we use ultra-fast propulsion, the engines of civilian ships are highly likely to incur damage, although they won’t break down until the propulsion is fully activated, after one or two uses, their engines will definitely be damaged.”

”What does it matter if they are damaged? I now understand why he encouraged large-scale industrial upgrades; it was precisely for situations like this. Look, the escape destination we’re heading to is a planet that manufactures engines. Once we arrive, not to mention one or two engines, getting twenty or thirty more won’t be an issue. Activate them quickly, or it will be too late.”

Jia Rong obviously saw the strategy above or understood Jia Yan’s true intention for promoting heavy production, which was indeed for this situation.

”Uh, okay, I’ll have the civilian fleet ahead begin high-power propulsion now.”

Poof!!!

In an instant, countless ships lit up with brilliance.

Their speed suddenly increased.

Gradually escaping enemy pursuit, with Jia Rong’s fleet occasionally launching impediment attacks backward along with misleading signals, causing the enemy to chase further and soon becoming only a tiny speck.

”Haha, we successfully escaped.”

”Ahead are our forces’ signals, and our forces far exceed the Imperial Fleet pursuing us; we’ve won.”

”We’ve escaped, indeed.”

”Long live Lord Jia Rong.”

Within this mixed civilian and military fleet, countless cheering voices continued to rise.

Many sang the praises of Jia Rong, commending him highly.

If it were an ordinary military officer, this might at most be a small achievement.

But this endeavor was entirely led by Jia Rong, and he faced significant pressure from many surrounding subordinates, making it a remarkable feat.

What was Jia Rong’s identity?

Though many places wouldn’t openly declare it, emerging versions made the populace aware that this presence was none other than the son of the ’Giant Mosquito,’ arguably the strongest in the entire Orion Arm and even the surrounding regions!

Only son of Giant Mosquito? Unimaginable status, even ordinary people believed it was a highly guarded existence.
