Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1984: Chapter 23: Turf War!

Of course, Jia Yan couldn’t guarantee the specifics, as even this world held many unknowns for him.

For instance, how big was this world really, or was this place situated on a planet, or just a vast flatland?

These were all things Jia Yan didn’t have knowledge about.

Especially if this was indeed a planet, then how big was this planet?

And how large was the sun that illuminated the entire planet? How did the planet’s orbit work?

To Jia Yan, all this seemed like one big secret and mystery.

But no matter what, Jia Yan, at this moment, still longed to return to the normal universe outside.

”Once my strength reaches the Stellar Class Late Level, I’ll give it a try. If I can reach it, even if I encounter a being at the Peak of Stellar outside, I’ll have some combat power, and even if a Star River Level Warrior steps in, I might be able to escape.”

”And if I reach the Peak of Stellar, then even facing the weakest Star River Level Warrior, I’ll have some confidence in escaping. With the insights gained here about the Path, who knows, it might even bring me more surprises.”

Jia Yan was fully aware that his strength in this world was likely to quickly improve.

But right now, he didn’t want to continue advancing in this world. Once he reached around Stellar Class Late Level strength, he’d think about escaping from here.

By then, his strength should be sufficient, and the people outside likely wouldn’t have been waiting for him for too long. Additionally, with the understanding of the Path acquired here, he might make a bigger impact once outside.

”For now, let’s not worry about so much, focus on improving strength first. Who knows how much blood of these Giant Tribe members would be needed to elevate my strength to the Stellar Class Late Level.”

Jia Yan was about to rest and digest the blood power that he hadn’t fully absorbed yet.

But just as he was preparing to rest, a strange, Yin and Yang tainted voice suddenly echoed.

”Hey there, buddy. You’re actually cultivating on my territory? Ha, you must be dreaming, don’t you know this is my turf?”

The sudden voice made Jia Yan’s heart skip a beat, then he calmly turned his head to look at the source of the voice.

It turned out that over a hundred kilometers away, a monster resembling a fly tilted its head at Jia Yan, speaking the words from earlier.

”A fly? Friend, I have no intention of taking your territory. I just want to stay for the night and leave tomorrow.”

Jia Yan knew that there were smaller creatures in this city, which meant there must be some intelligent beings here as well. He just didn’t expect to encounter one so soon, and moreover, be accused of encroaching territory.

This situation left Jia Yan puzzled, as he hadn’t really considered competing for territory in this city.

However, the creature didn’t share Jia Yan’s views and only saw him as an Outsider trying to take over its territory.

”Ha, saying you’ll leave tomorrow? I’ve seen many like you who say you’ll leave tomorrow and end up staying indefinitely. You should know, I’ve eliminated several of your kind. Kid, just say it, are you leaving or not? This place is the ancestral land of my Fly Tribe for eight generations. The surrounding three buildings are all my territory. If you’re wise, you’ll scram.”

The fly monster condescendingly dismissed Jia Yan but showed no intention of fighting.

For the creatures of this city, the nighttime was the optimal time to operate because there were no Giants roaming around, so the night belonged to them.

Although time was relatively safe here, the limited territory often led to disputes causing casualties frequently.

This fly creature, having engaged in many battles, recognized Jia Yan’s potential strength, so it chose not to initiate a fight.

It considered its reluctance to fight as a sign of goodwill towards Jia Yan. In any other creature’s territory, the battle would already be inevitable.

Yet Jia Yan showed no appreciation for this gesture.

”Sorry, but I’ll indeed be staying here tonight. I simply have nowhere else to go.”

Jia Yan wasn’t lying. Although he could return to a family’s room, the thought of staying among Giants wasn’t appealing, and one wrong move could lead to his detection and extermination by them.

Thus, Jia Yan decided to remain here, besides sensing a substantial strength gap between himself and this creature, convincing him there was little risk of defeat, so he refused to leave.

Coincidentally, Jia Yan wanted to take this opportunity to test his combat skills.

”Fine, you’ve brought this on yourself, kid.”

The fly creature bristled at Jia Yan’s firm refusal to back down.

The creatures in this city, though less dangerous than those outside, had their fair share of battles.

Plus, with stray remnants of Giant Tribe’s cultivation techniques or powerful supplements discovered, these creatures became quite adept, stronger than some ordinary creatures outside.

The fly creature started flapping its wings, launching an assault on Jia Yan.

It was rare for Jia Yan to face a flying creature in battle again after a long time.

”So fast.”

Seeing its astonishing speed surpassing his own, Jia Yan was surprised, quickly instinctively retreating into subspace behind him.

As a Mosquito, Jia Yan had developed strength but lacked the natural ability to outpace this fly in equal size flying speed.

Moreover, this fly possessed unique battle techniques and Tao imprints in its body, making it impossible for Jia Yan to compete in speed.

However, Jia Yan had another trick—Subspace Talent.

The fly creature descended fiercely upon the spot where Jia Yan had stood moments before, hitting the ground with its foot.

”Huh?”

It paused, stunned.

Confident in its speed, the fly usually relied on rapid wing flapping in battles, achieving overwhelming speed and crushing or severely injuring opponents in one swift move.

This swift advantage made it dismiss the danger posed by Jia Yan, another flying creature.

Yet unexpectedly, when it employed a full eighty percent of its speed, the opponent vanished at the moment of attack?

While the fly creature pondered Jia Yan’s sudden disappearance in astonishment, a sharp leg extended from the space behind it...

Whoosh.

The leg struck instantaneously, piercing its body effortlessly, catching the fly creature completely off guard.

”What. Uh.”

The fly creature felt a sharp pain in its abdomen, pierced by a mysterious leg, and its expression shifted dramatically.

This Subspace Talent of Jia Yan caught the fly creature unprepared. Like the Monkey Creatures Jia Yan previously encountered, this ability must be unfamiliar to it.

With a successful strike, this fly-like creature stood no chance of survival.

Jia Yan unleashed his Brainwave Power inside its body.

Having grown stronger, Jia Yan’s Brainwave Power could now slightly extend outside his body, not by pure force, but harnessing the Power of Tao to transform it into a force compatible with this world.
