Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Capítulo 1955: Chapter 9: The So-Called ‘Path

The power of this Strong One is too terrifying, making Jia Yan instinctively use his ultimate secret technique at this moment.

And right after being punched and knocked away by him.

Jia Yan’s body seemed to transform instantly.

It became incredibly azure blue, with hardness and defensive power reaching the peak that Jia Yan’s body could currently achieve.

Then, an antimatter power fiercely burst forth from a slight portion of his foot structure to counteract this simple strike.

“Hmm?”

The Grand Elder narrowed his eyes slightly, then he felt that his attack, thrown out as a simple strike, was fiercely counterattacked and returned by the flying creature in front of him.

His punch only made Jia Yan retreat a short distance.

“Impressive, although you retreated and seemed a bit strained, I’m much older than you, so it’s not a fair victory for me. Let’s consider this your win.”

As the Grand Elder spoke these words, he seemed less deterred by Jia Yan’s fierceness.

Because he had already sensed that this creature seemingly hadn’t used its power, yet somehow had.

There are two reasons for not using power: inconvenience, perhaps due to injury or something else.

The other reason could be Jia Yan didn’t want to fight him, so there was no need for him to worry too much about Jia Yan.

After all, being able to withstand a single strike from him, even if weak, doesn’t make him weak, and he’s worth taking seriously.

On Jia Yan’s side, upon hearing this Strong One’s words, a sharp flash of brilliance flickered in his eyes, and then he nodded slightly.

To be honest, being able to withstand a strike from such a creature already made Jia Yan extremely satisfied.

It’s just that hearing such remarks from someone so strong, while not entirely recognizing his strength, made Jia Yan, who isn’t usually bothered by others’ praises, yet who cares about the opinions of those stronger than himself, feel his self-esteem ballooning.

If the Grand Elder had repelled him a few steps after using strength, saying he lost wouldn’t have made Jia Yan so frustrated, but in the current situation, the Grand Elder had held back, and Jia Yan had to use quite powerful trump cards not to lose face.

Fortunately, the Grand Elder didn’t seem to notice the small missing piece of Jia Yan’s foot. Even if he had, he wouldn’t have thought that losing that small piece of material helped him block the previous attack.

This small battle allowed the two Strong Ones to test each other, and both gained some understanding of each other’s power.

Of course, Jia Yan became increasingly fearful of the Grand Elder’s strength, while the other likely didn’t regard Jia Yan as a weakling.

At least Jia Yan’s current facade was quite convincing, or rather, the misunderstanding by others played to his advantage.

His real combat power would probably be annihilated by a single strike from the Grand Elder, even at his full strength, the outcome might be the same.

“Grand Elder, this, this Senior, have you finished your sparring?”

Outside the tree hole where the two exchanged blows, at some unknown time, Wu Peili and Luzhi had arrived at the entrance, seemingly waiting for quite a while.

As it turned out, they were still undergoing an assessment, but were called out by that bald assessment Lord, saying there was an issue with the person they brought. As a result, they were notified later that the ‘Jia Yan’ they had brought had already passed all the assessments some time ago, and was now inside the tree hole, battling with their tribe’s ‘Grand Elder.’

This left them deeply shocked.

They had lived with Jia Yan for several days, and even Wu Peili thought Jia Yan’s strength wasn’t much different from their own, slightly stronger at most.

But unexpectedly, Jia Yan was strong enough to spar with the Grand Elder?

This left Wu Peili and Luzhi in surprise because the implications were significant. If Jia Yan truly had any issues, they would face consequences too.

The two waited outside for quite some time, only to see the Grand Elder and the ‘Jia Yan’ they had brought out completely unharmed.

This left them at a loss for what to do. If this newcomer was indeed an issue-ridden Strong One, wasn’t it the Grand Elder’s responsibility to capture him?

Could it be the Grand Elder lacked the strength to do so?

Of course, they didn’t know their Grand Elder wasn’t that kind of person. Additionally, a larger reason was that Jia Yan’s strength posed a slight threat to the Grand Elder, and not wanting to make unnecessary moves, the Grand Elder let it be.

Listening to someone talk about his Path couldn’t be considered a big deal.

“Alright, you should build a good relationship with this Jia Yan friend. I’ll begin explaining the Path, and you don’t need the assessment; you can just sit in and listen later.”

The Grand Elder seemed quite amiable towards Wu Peili and Luzhi, not scolding them, and said this gently.

“Lord Jia, I’m heading there now.”

The Grand Elder signaled to Jia Yan once more.

Seeing the Grand Elder show such respect towards Jia Yan left the youngsters astounded once more.

Under normal circumstances, the Grand Elder, even in a pleasant mood, only showed such demeanor towards Outsiders of the same level as himself.

Could it be that this ‘Jia Yan,’ whom they had lived with for a while, truly possessed strength equal to the Grand Elder?
