Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Capítulo 1968: Chapter 15: Extermination!

In the beginning, the humans were at a disadvantage due to the lack of strong defenders, and several people even died instantly.

But now, they have gradually turned around the disadvantage of being outnumbered, even suppressing the opposing army.

“Damn it, this human territory is much harder to conquer than the previous species. What’s scarier is this old man has been fighting me for so long without weakening at all.”

The monkey leader was extremely frustrated with the surrounding battle conditions. Before this battle, he thought he could annihilate this human territory just like the last species.

Unfortunately, this monkey made a miscalculation.

There is not just one strong person in this human territory, and even the Grand Elder, whom he thought he could defeat, proved indomitable, which frustrated him greatly.

“I can’t account for this to that Lord, but I guess the Lord expected this… hehe.”

Thinking of that Lord’s presence, the monkey leader smiled slightly. As long as the Lord is there, these trivial matters are insignificant to him.

For him, it’s crucial to make a good showing in this battle.

“Grand Elder, even while fighting me, you dare to look around carelessly. You must be quite confident in yourself, aren’t you?”

When he discovered that the human Grand Elder could still afford to look around leisurely during their fight, his expression turned even more sinister.

“Looking around doesn’t conflict with fighting you, does it? Haha, or should I say, your power isn’t enough for me to go all out. But I do find it hard to defeat you.”

The Grand Elder gave a slight smile, uttering words to the monkey leader that sounded both like acknowledgment and disdain.

Of course, expressing even a hint of disdain towards the monkey leader was a great insult.

“Hmph, belittling me, are you? Watch where you’re looking; die now!”

The monkey leader’s eyes flashed with anger, and suddenly he launched a fierce attack on the Grand Elder.

On the other side, Jia Yan didn’t care what the others thought of him. At that moment, he was exchanging blows and testing the gorilla-like creature.

“This gorilla’s brain is really stupid, actually helping me comprehend the Dao. His Dao seems quite shallow, though not less in quantity, but because it’s simple, I can easily understand it.”

Jia Yan kept his eyes on the gorilla-like creature in front of him. Even though there were several times he had the chance to seriously injure it due to the lack of guidance, he missed the opportunity intentionally.

As a result, the battle between the two became more entangled.

“Roar! Don’t run away. Watch as I punch you to death.”

The gorilla creature was almost hopping mad because his most trusted brother was killed by this seemingly flying creature. He wanted to avenge his brother, but at this moment, he couldn’t even hit Jia Yan, let alone talk about revenge.

He knew Jia Yan was toying with him, but at that moment, he thought there was nothing wrong with it. His plan was to drain Jia Yan’s energy and, when Jia Yan’s strength waned, to seize the opportunity to kill him.

To be honest, this seemingly foolish gorilla creature still had a bit of sense.

Of course, he wanted to buy time and wear down Jia Yan’s strength, which wasn’t an entirely inaccurate strategy. Even a stronger thinker might consider this approach.

But what he didn’t know was that Jia Yan consumed very little in subspace, and his Evolutionary Beast Constitution gave him endurance and combat stamina far surpassing other creatures.

This gorilla’s strategy of draining Jia Yan’s strength was utterly naive and misguided.

In fact, at this moment, he unwittingly accelerated Jia Yan’s power enhancement process.

“One Enlightenment Pill isn’t enough; I need a few more.”

Jia Yan had ten Enlightenment Pills in total. Although one was expensive for this human species, it wasn’t overly extravagant. Otherwise, the Grand Elder wouldn’t have given one to Jia Yan.

But ten of them would be an enormous amount of resources that could shake even this entire human ethnic group financially.

If it hadn’t been for a mistake by that bald man, Jia Yan wouldn’t have gotten so many Enlightenment Pills.

Unknowingly, Jia Yan made a decision that, if known by the humans, would surely be criticized for squandering their resources.

Unconcerned, Jia Yan took out several more Enlightenment Pills in subspace, directly absorbing them with his mouthpiece.

“Very well, let’s continue fighting.”

Jia Yan flew out of subspace again.

This time he made two surprise moves, feeling that with the help of that peculiar pill, his understanding of the ‘Path’ or another cosmic idea he never comprehended before had increased dramatically.

“Not enough! Another one.”

Jia Yan suddenly returned to subspace and took out another Enlightenment Pill.

The Enlightenment Pills, which are only supposed to be used once by others, seemed to work continuously for Jia Yan.

“Roar.”

The gorilla-like creature only felt increasing pressure.

At first, it had no idea from which direction Jia Yan would attack, but gradually, Jia Yan’s every move became weirdly powerful, almost matching its strength.

Yet, it found no way to stop him.

In that moment, even its slow mind sensed something was wrong.

“I need to leave.”

A thought to escape arose, but just as it wanted to, a foot blocked its path.

When it exchanged a few more moves, it forgot about fleeing, engaging in a life-and-death struggle with the foot or the occasional creature behind it.

“Good, I’ve forced him to a dead end. Not enough, I need to consume more Enlightenment Pills.”

In subspace, Jia Yan attacked repeatedly, feeling that with the help of Enlightenment Pills, each move conformed to a certain cosmic principle, striking out more effectively and powerfully.

In Jia Yan’s view, it was not inexplicable; the so-called ‘Path’ can actually integrate with science.

‘Path’ is essentially an explanation of the universe’s rules, encompassing an understanding of power, and science can explain this path not because it’s mysterious, but because it has reached a profound level in the understanding of power.

If Jia Yan didn’t have the Enlightenment Pills, he wouldn’t know how long it would take to understand the Yin-Yang Dao.

Moreover, these Enlightenment Pills that others can only use once seemed to be continuously effective for Jia Yan.

However, even this had limits; when Jia Yan swallowed eight of them, the effects became negligible.

When he finally consumed all ten Enlightenment Pills, they completely stopped having any effect on him.

Indeed, there was a limit, even for an evolutionary beast like him.

Yet the effect of ten pills was already sufficient.

Jia Yan only felt that the world before him had completely changed.

His power remained at the middle stellar level, but the world looked entirely different to him.

Seeing the gorilla creature, Jia Yan noticed its whole body seemed to have a virtual line in his eyes. Though the line moved, Jia Yan felt as if he could hit that line or point at the right time, dealing a lethal or heavy blow to the gorilla creature, or at the very least, injuring it.
