Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Jia Yan fled frantically, disregarding everything around him.

Since his rebirth, this was the first time Jia Yan felt such panic.

Even when encountering stellar-level strong ones or communicating with the so-called ’great entities,’ Jia Yan had never been this terrified.

Though they were formidable, the fear they inspired paled in comparison to the terror evoked by that giant dragon monster.

If you were to witness firsthand a creature spanning hundreds of kilometers from head to tail, you’d undoubtedly be just as shocked.

Thankfully, he managed to retain some rationality during his escape, ensuring that he didn’t discard the items taken from the expansive cavity.

Finally, after a series of high-speed flights, the conceptual ship slowly began to repair itself. By the time it gradually reformed into a metal monster, Jia Yan’s emotions also calmed down.

”Now that I’m here, I suppose that monster won’t be chasing me anymore.”

Still feeling a lingering fear, Jia Yan glanced around the subspace. After what he had seen, even within subspace, he didn’t feel completely safe.

The next moment, Jia Yan exited the subspace.

In front of him was still the endless black expanse of the universe.

Jia Yan wasn’t particularly surprised. Calculating the distance covered during his frantic escape, he realized he’d flown over 30 billion kilometers, which was indeed a substantial distance.

”I can’t return to Xing Lang Star for now. I need to recover my strength, and everything that happened feels a bit too suspicious. Otherwise, it’s all too coincidental—the monster in the gravitational wave space being so terrifying, didn’t that elephant powerhouse know about it? Also, during my escape, I never saw him. And before that, who exactly was that elephant monster chasing me?”

Jia Yan sped through the starry sky area, adopting the flight speed of a typical secondary powerhouse monster. After all, the conceptual ship was fully repaired, and with its energy reserves—including the hundred tons of super energy ore he had previously excavated—he had enough to last for a long time.

Meanwhile, he pondered these questions as he recuperated aboard the conceptual ship.

As for the avatar monster, it still clung to the exterior of the conceptual ship. Surprisingly, this high-level talent secondary powerhouse body recovered quite well, shaking off its previously half-dead state and healing rapidly.

Time passed slowly as Jia Yan flew near the outskirts of the Star Man Faction territory.

Just as he was contemplating returning to the mercenary organization to inquire about developments, his mercenary organization’s black card suddenly began to flash with beams of light.

”Huh? I remember that old monster once asked if I wanted to activate the hidden feature of the black card. I agreed—so, could this be it?”

Jia Yan was both intrigued and cautious.

He understood that even though he had been carrying this black card for a long time, if it had some sort of tracking or recording capability, the mercenary organization might know everything about him.

Of course, this was just speculation, but Jia Yan was by nature a cautious individual. The flashing black card immediately heightened his vigilance.

After some thought, he decided to activate the function described on the black card.

”Mr. Mo Ke, heavens above, you actually connected to the communication!”

On the other side of the black card appeared the figure of the old monster.

”Hmph. I suppose you’re surprised I’m not dead, considering your mercenary organization thought otherwise?” Jia Yan’s expression changed as he coldly replied.

He was genuinely surprised at this point. After all, Jia Yan was currently in a location incredibly far from the Star Man Faction’s territory. There were no signal bases nearby, yet the mercenary organization’s old monster could still contact him, demonstrating the advanced nature of their communication technology.

”No, no, Mr. Mo Ke! The fact that you’re alive is the best news for me. Could you tell me where you are now? If possible, could we meet up?” The old monster looked at Jia Yan on the screen with an expression of surprise, his eyes flickering strangely.

”Meet me?”

Suspicion surged within Jia Yan. Shaking his head, he responded, ”Sorry, I won’t be returning to the Star Man Faction. You couldn’t possibly understand what happened. I don’t want to go anywhere close to the Star Man Faction right now.”

”I figured as much. Although I don’t know what happened, the Star Man Faction was in complete chaos recently. Three stellar-level seniors from the official genius battlefield unexpectedly arrived. After heading to the coordinates you visited, they returned with strange expressions. In fact, the area you visited has now been sealed off and designated as a forbidden zone. Something must have happened there between you and those seniors, right?”

Listening to the old monster’s astonishment, Jia Yan couldn’t help but react internally.

From the sound of it, the giant dragon monster had caused shockwaves across the official genius battlefield. Even more terrifyingly, three stellar-level seniors had arrived, only to seal off the area without resolving anything.

”It seems that terrifying giant dragon monster is even more dreadful than I imagined.”

Jia Yan shook his head, feeling a sense of lingering fear.

”Senior, I think those companions are unlikely to return. If the employer hasn’t returned either, then kindly transfer the remaining commission to me. After all, I did take considerable risks while adventuring. This should comply with the rules, right?”

”Fine. The commission is not an issue.” The aged monster, clearly frustrated by Jia Yan’s lack of disclosure, reluctantly agreed.

After some further back-and-forth, the call was ended.

Immediately after disconnecting, Jia Yan didn’t hesitate—using his brainwave power, he crushed the black card instantly!

Then, he accelerated at lightning speed, retreating toward an even farther location!

Even though his brainwave power hadn’t fully recovered, Jia Yan forcibly activated the subspace, entering it to flee rapidly.

Soon after Jia Yan’s departure, a massive fleet of several hundred single-warrior battleships arrived at the location at an eerily fast pace.

”He’s already escaped!”

”Search everywhere! This guy must have information about that place. The genius battlefield officials refuse to disclose anything, but there’s certainly something there. If it’s a heaven-sent opportunity, missing it would be catastrophic!”

Several secondary powerhouses, bearing a semi-permanent star presence, flew out of their battleships, directing the surrounding warriors to search the area meticulously.

They didn’t realize that their target was a being with space talent, who had already traversed the endless expanse and journeyed to an even more distant location.

Even if they could find Jia Yan, it was impossible to extract any information about what lay in the forbidden area. Fear? Certainly. But whether these monsters would believe him was another question entirely.

Within the subspace, Jia Yan, though uncertain if there were pursuers behind him, understood clearly that having witnessed the true form of the giant dragon monster, there were undoubtedly individuals interested in him.

”The official genius battlefield surely knows what that colossal dragon monster is. Perhaps they even know my real identity. They haven’t come looking for me, so they must have decided to leave me alone. Therefore, they’re not interested in the information I have—making it easy to evade investigations from other factions.”

Jia Yan realized the officials likely wouldn’t go after him for such minor secrets. Otherwise, he’d have been apprehended long ago.

As he pondered, the conceptual ship gradually began to transform during his journey.

Before long, the metal shell of the conceptual ship completed its transformation.

It had turned into a bird-like monster. If Earth people were present, they would immediately recognize its resemblance to Earth’s crows.

Jia Yan had deliberately chosen this form since he was most familiar with creatures from Earth.

Though crows weren’t particularly attractive, they were far better than a tentacle monster.

”My identity concealment efforts have been inadequate. It’s possible some factions already know my real identity. Until I confirm whether they plan to keep pursuing me, I won’t return to the Tianhe Force—the risk to them and to me is too great.”

Jia Yan sighed, shaking his head in resignation.

Truthfully, he had rather enjoyed his time in the Tianhe Force. Resources were abundant, the environment was comfortable, and, most importantly, his true body’s current strength was equivalent to that of a formidable high-end talent venerable. He wasn’t sure whether he could match peak dignitaries. Traveling across the universe with such strength was still perilous.

But there was no other choice; with so many factions targeting him, fleeing was inevitable. Betting on the Tianhe Force’s ability to shield him was not Jia Yan’s style.

”Hmph. I refuse to accept that, with the conceptual ship granting me the power of a high-leveled talent secondary powerhouse and having a secondary powerhouse avatar, I won’t survive in the central star area!”

Calculating his current strength, Jia Yan felt a newfound sense of confidence.

Indeed, his true body’s power amounted to that of a venerable, but with the conceptual ship, he could reach high-leveled talent secondary genius levels easily. Coupled with a high-leveled talent secondary genius avatar, even against a weaker intermediate talent semi-permanent stellar powerhouse, he dared to show some backbone.

And if he couldn’t win, he could still escape. His space talent made retreat almost trivial—after all, even the giant dragon monster couldn’t catch him.

In this star zone, Jia Yan’s confidence surged.

”I need to figure out a place where I can settle down. Most starry sky areas are dominated by factions, but I’ve heard some intriguing rumors before from His Excellency Tian Tesu and others...”

”That there exist dark factions in the cracks between many territories...”

”In fact, these dark zones are not small; some are even larger than major faction bases. When combined, these dark factions spread across nearly the entire genius battlefield.”

After considerable thought, Jia Yan made his decision.

Despite his short time in the central star area, he had chosen to abandon his bright identity and turn toward darkness!

Within the subspace channel, Jia Yan maneuvered his conceptual ship sharply through the distorted space.

Then, transforming into a streak of flowing light, he shot directly toward a location marked as ”dark” on the star chart!
