Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

The original transport ship’s crew member, consistently emphasized in his words that Earth City could not possibly win.

”He might be right.”

Finally, someone from the Earth City side had to agree with their words. After all, the star thieves were far beyond their level, and Earth City couldn’t mobilize the combat power of the Strong Ones in the vacuum of space. Their opponents could easily attack them from an extremely far distance!

With that, one by one, the powerful seemed to have become like decorative objects.

”We flee! There is no shame in running for the first time.”

Daphne, sitting in the captain’s seat of the transport ship, decided while looking at the screen in front of her.

This indicated the relationship between her and Jia Yan, which was more of a partnership rather than a subordinate one. She had a great degree of autonomy.

However, she still needed to report to Jia Yan.

”Mr. Giant Mosquito, I’ve decided to run, as we aren’t ready to take on these star thieves.”

Listening to the voice in the communicator, Jia Yan wasn’t surprised. After all, he had seen the combat power of the transport ship. It was maybe more formidable than a regular commercial spacecraft or other aircraft, but compared to ships that genuinely had combat abilities, it fell short!

”Alright, I’m close to the transport ship now. Open the hatch, I’ll cover you for a while, and then board the ship.”

Giant Mosquito raced through the void of space. The vacuum around him made him feel somewhat unreal. The rapidly approaching Earth City Fleet also looked like something you would only see in Earth’s sci-fi films—illusionary and dreamlike, invoking unspeakable emotions.

Especially after hearing from Daphne about a star thief fleet attacking them, Jia Yan felt like he was in a ’Star Wars’ scenario.

”I haven’t seen the star thieves yet. They’re still far away, too far for me to see what they look like. Space battle is absolutely different from ground combat. I have much to learn.”

Jia Yan rapidly approached the transport ship.

But as he was about to reach the leading transport ship, a light blasted from the distant skyline in the front!

It wasn’t a conspicuous glow, and it didn’t seem powerful either. However, the vigilant Jia Yan wouldn’t let this hit his ship!

Jia Yan propelled himself toward the direction of the light!

The light was incredibly fast. Although it didn’t reach the terrifying speed of light, it was definitely faster than the attack speed of ground electromagnetic weapons!

These interstellar civilizations have undergone many weapon transformations, but they still haven’t been able to turn their weapons into light energy. Although weapons moving at the speed of light have already appeared in these civilizations, their lasers are too weak. Especially when faced with interstellar ships or battleships, pure light energy cannot cause significant damage. So, in the weapon systems of interstellar civilizations, the main method of attack is weapons that are extremely fast, but cannot reach the speed of light.

The attack weapon that Jia Yan was facing now was similar!

When he saw the light shooting from the distant sky, he instinctively threw himself in front of it!

A bright light hit him!

Jia Yan felt like his body was entirely engulfed by the light. It warmed up, the extreme brightness lighting up his body, which might have reached a terrifyingly high temperature in that instant!

Thankfully he had already tried out the main cannons of the military ships. Compared to those, the light now was nothing really. At this moment, the Big Mosquito’s body was a slight azure, completely blocking the light!

However, the attacks from the front were relentless. Bright lights struck one after another, and Jia Yan finally fully activated the azure color on his body!

He resisted the lights to the maximum extent.

The Earth City Fleet at the rear began to slowly turn around and accelerate. The reactors of the commercial fleet meant they couldn’t go top speed straight away. This was the essential difference between them and the warships. So much so that now, every one of these fleets seemed like live targets, only capable of bearing the brunt of the attack!

Under Jia Yan’s bright light, there wasn’t any damage, but the unrecovered energy gave off a slightly exhausted sentiment now and then.

But he didn’t think too much about it, turning quickly back into the attack lights, continually helping the rear fleet intercept them!

”Finally saw them!”

When Jia Yan noticed that the opponent’s attack was getting more and more precise, he finally caught sight of their true bodies.

They were ten ships, not looking exceptionally large. The distance was finally close to under a hundred kilometers so that each side could easily see each other’s forms.

These so-called warships weren’t regular ones, but were pieced together with different parts. These looked like surface patches, but made the armaments seem to be formidable.

The main cannons launched the attack. These attacks were equivalent to two hundred meters level warships in the official military. After all, these things were absolute weapons in space warfare. Even if these star thieves were frugal, they would absolutely get their hands on these things. Otherwise, they wouldn’t qualify as competent star thieves!
