”Ah!”

The moment a soldier from the security team poked his weapon out of the metal defense, a ghastly flash of light penetrated from the outside, breaking his body into several pieces!

”Take him away! Backup personnel keep up!” The Frogman officer roared out!

This was the first death of a security team member hiding behind the battle line, and there might be more to follow, so the Frogman officer didn’t have time to mourn for his subordinate. They were part of this city’s security team, and casualties were to be expected today!

So long as they could withstand a few attacks, the Earth City that followed would surely crumble under their bombardment and equipment suppression!

At that time, a few casualties would be a small price to pay for a great victory. After all, they were only a few thousand against tens of thousands. Despite the immature security officer aircraft coming for support, the mere fact they could resist such a large number of enemies was an incredible accomplishment!

Yes!

The members of the security team also gritted their teeth and attacked. The death of a colleague could not shake their determination, since it was do or die at this point!

They still had artillery, they were certain to win!

The members of the security team firmly believed in the dominance of their equipment and backup reinforcements!

”Ah! This is bad!”

One of the security team members in charge of monitoring the battle situation suddenly screamed!

”What’s wrong?!” The heart of the Frogman commander thumped. He was very familiar with this observer from the security team, who had the strongest mental fortitude in his team, hence his position as an observer. His present cry meant something unexpected occurred!

”Th... this...” The Auster observer, with a trembling mouth, stuttered out some words, then hysterically yelled!

”Our artillery have mostly stopped!”

”How is that possible?!” The Frogman officer hastily looked outside through the observation hole!

Indeed, most of the artillery that were attacking the Earth Army from outside had stopped. Only a sparse few continued to support the attack, but this was also gradually diminishing!

”Command Center! What’s happening? Our artillery support is dwindling, do you know what’s going on?” The Frogman was also extremely frightened, picking up the wired communication device that had been buried in the road earlier.

”Virus! It’s a computer virus! Damn Earth City, they’ve been planning this all along, these viruses have been lurking in all our weapon artillery systems. They’ve now emerged, and although it can’t make our systems crash, it’s going to take at least half a day to fix!”

The reply from the communicator left the Frogman commander stunned. He then faltered, his body buckling like he had lost all strength, and was about to collapse to the ground!

”Earth City... they have the ability to plant a computer virus in the artillery system of Fifth City?! That’s terrifying, and to think that everything is happening at this critical moment. Who could it be? There’s definitely a strategic mastermind of unimaginable capabilities in Earth City!”

The Frogman couldn’t believe his own thoughts: Earth City must have an incredibly powerful and intelligent battle commander, with strategies beyond his comprehension!

He felt almost completely powerless at this point, for he knew, without the support of artillery, they wouldn’t stand a chance against the so-called two hundred thousand ’Earth Army’. More so when the enemy has a war commander capable of such strategies?!

Their morale dropped instantly, and the members of the security team could faintly sense that something was amiss and subsequently lost their own spirit as well.

”Listen up, everyone! The artillery of the Fifth City has been halted by Lady Daphne’s strategy! They are now like toothless tigers, their morale must be at an all-time low. We can attack all out! Victory will surely be ours!”

On Earth City’s side, under Daphne’s guidance, at least dozens of higher-ups transmitted short-range communications to the entities engaged in combat!

The sound of these communications, just like the most exciting signal, caused a huge cheerful roar from the Earth Army. They too had noticed the dwindling Red Light attacks coming from above, and initially thought it was a plot or trick by Fifth City, but it turned out to be Miss Daphne’s strategy!

The enemy’s artillery had completely lost power, making the small security team at the front line seem like a turtle shell without much offensive power!

”Kill them! Breaking this battle array is not difficult, just wear down their defensive energy and we can break through!”

Boom, boom, boom, boom!!!———

One after another, tanks started to ferociously ram into the outer area of the security team’s battle array, causing the members inside to constantly experience quaking vibrations!

Earth City had gone mad. They had previously thought they were doomed to fail, but now saw a glimmer of hope for victory. The loss of the enemy’s artillery meant they couldn’t possibly resist the attack of tens of thousands of their tanks and powerful infantry!

A security team’s defensive array, bearly covering a mile in range, was blocking the direct path to Fifth City. A part of Earth City’s tank troops had already bypassed them, heading towards the nearly defenseless Fifth City!
