Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 623: Chapter 19 Monster Commander? 【Second Update Explodes】_1

As a leader, he felt he had done far too little. Faced with the sight of those who had given their lives for Earth City, a force he had conceived on a whim, he was unsure whether to feel joy or sorrow.

”Daphne, honour him with the title of a martyr,” he commanded.

Jia Yan took flight once more, charging towards the next battleship target.

For the sake of the young man who had lost his life, he resolved to fight even harder.

”Yes, my Lord!”

A voice of acknowledgement echoed from the other end of the communicator – it was Daphne’s.

...

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The previously bustling and highly secure No.5 City Spaceport was now, for the first time, the site of widespread warfare!

The ground-based space battleships, immobilized due to a mere flying monster, were unable to take off.

This enormous flying creature possessed horrifying speed, but such velocity shouldn’t have interrupted the operation of the battleships.

The only explanation was the mischief caused by the incapacitated Alok Kan.

This soldier had inserted malicious code obscured by a confusing alias into the system!

The complex unlock sequences of the military-use battleships, now befuddled by this malicious code, had their start-up times significantly extended.

In the current circumstances, each additional second brought about the destruction of one or even multiple battleships!

The situation was completely out of control!

Even Jia Yan and Daphne remained unaware of the exact reasons, their efforts having destroyed nearly twenty ground-based space battleships in just three minutes without letting a single one launch.

As for the other side, over a dozen of Earth City’s top fighters, threatened into cooperation by Jia Yan, caused some of the defense artillery to shatter under their attacks, resulting in immediate destruction.

However, during Jia Yan’s attacks on the battleships, five individuals managed to escape.

By the time Jia Yan noticed, these fast-flying entities were long gone, leaving only fading silhouettes behind.

Even setting off the small bombs that Daphne had planted on them only resulted in the demise of two, while the others flew off brazenly amidst a shower of blood.

Jia Yan was left helpless; given the current pressing battle conditions, he couldn’t spend his time in pursuit.

”You continue attacking, and think about what you’d face on the Grey-Yellow Star if you attempt to flee next time!” Jia Yan warned the remaining fighters.

Without looking back, he then rushed towards a crack on the ground three kilometers away, where a battleship was poking out.

If his subordinates had all been driven to such madness, why couldn’t he, as their leader, allow himself the same insanity?

Jia Yan admitted it: he was moved by this force. As a leader who was often disinterested, who bore little responsibility for Earth City, he acknowledged his newfound affection for this force.

So he fought with even more ferocity than before.

Boom!

The battleship just poking its head out was suddenly struck hard from above!

Whoosh!

An invisible energy shield sprang up around this two hundred meters level battleship.

Jia Yan’s frontal strike was finally blocked.

As a fully operational battleship, the vessel’s defensive energy sprang into action. Destroying it wouldn’t be as easy as before anymore, even for the Big Mosquito.

This was a genuine battleship, after all.

”As expected of a battleship. The previous targets were nothing in their real form. The true crisis is only just beginning!”

Gravity filled Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes. Comparing himself to the two hundred meters level battleship before him, he seemed quite minute. Yet, Jia Yan’s spirit was invincible. Keep in mind, he had already destroyed around twenty battleships of similar size!

”Those were only nineteen. You can go die and make it a round twenty for me!” Jia Yan roared in his heart.

At the same time, his foreleg that was ready to stab turned completely bluish. Particularly at the very end of it – the bluish glow almost burst into a radiance. A bizarre sharpness became its most distinct feature.

The sharpness, the power of his attack, was terrifyingly frightening.

Splash!

Jia Yan’s latest thrust finally penetrated deep into the thin transparent defense of the battleship!

”How is this possible!? His attack power has increased so much.” Inside the battleship, one soldier after another was filled with dread. As alien warriors, they were meticulous in their obsession with data. Previously, when Big Mosquito attacked the moored battleships that couldn’t be launched, obviously it didn’t have enough attack power to break the battleship’s protective energy. But now, that level of attack power had mysteriously increased dramatically!

”Something is wrong! This monster destroyed nineteen moored battleships and there is still no signs of fatigue, how could this be! Even though they were just docked, they’re still battleships! Even if this Star Space Level monster is powerful, its stamina should be limited. It’s not only showing no signs of weakness, it’s even displaying greater power. Something’s off with this monster!”

The soldiers inside the battleship were incredulous. In this interstellar civilization, trust in data is the first principle for a warrior, which had long been ingrained in their beings. But now, the Big Mosquito’s power, defying all common sense, left them stunned and unable to react.

”Don’t just stand there, initiate the metal plate outer defense and prepare for the impact. It’s coming again!”

As expected, all holographic images from the combat units were displaying Big Mosquito, which was once again raising its foreleg, bursting with an intense bluish light.

”That last attack must have been its ultimate move and its peak power. There’s no way it can maintain such powerful attacks! It certainly can’t break the defense!”

Hummmmmmm...

Jia Yan only felt that in front of the battleship’s outermost steel plate, a layer of unseen power was faintly reappearing. The glint in Jia Yan’s compound eyes was also blazing brightly!

Actually, Jia Yan’s endurance was another form of his invisible strength. His power was not only undiminished, but he felt that he could keep fighting for a very long time. This was another layer of his powerful core strength, apart from bluish defense!

This layer of defense was definitely not as strong as the previous transparent energy defense.

”Just... die!”

Boom!!!!!!!!!!!———

With a thrust, Jia Yan gouged the battleship’s steel plate!

Bright sparks flared at the point of contact, radiating a light that surpassed the skies, momentarily blinding and taking away everyone’s sight.

Jia Yan, of course, wasn’t blinded. His compound eyes were still shining like the stars in the night sky, watching his foreleg in the flames!

The thrust on the battleship’s protective steel plate was no less forceful than the last attack!

Crack!

At first, the battleship seemed to cave in slightly from the formidable attack.

Then, at the weakest spot, a rupture erupted in the thin protective layer on the surface of the steel plate!

Squirt!!!

The standoff lasted less than a second before it felt like something hard yet fragile had been pierced. As the sound of the rupture rang out, the sharpest, hardest part of his foreleg, enveloped in a bizarre bluish glow, pierced into the steel plate!

The feeling of the thrust changing as if it was cutting through bamboo!

Boom!!!———

His foreleg pierced completely into the steel plate. Jia Yan felt the localized rupture of all defenses. The joyful feeling of piercing a strong defense was finally unleashed!

”Damn it, destroy!” He screamed in his heart as the power in his legs became even more dominate, as if his stamina had no limit. At this moment, he even managed to further increase his force!

Among the things sticking to his foreleg were the protective steel plate, the metallic interlayer inside the battleship, and living beings!

The screams inside the battleship echoed nonstop. The Universe Port Garrison, who thought that by just launching any battleship, they could easily defeat this strongest being from Earth City, had their hopes shattered at this moment!

Accompanied by screams, Jia Yan went on a relentless rampage inside the battleship with his forelegs.

Puncture, puncture, puncture!

The membrane of energy that was once protecting the exterior of the steel plate, had stopped resisting and vanished, after being destroyed the first time. Jia Yan’s thrusts were essentially cutting through the steel plate’s defense with ease, just like the previously destroyed non-launched battleships, there was no difference!

Finally, a small bright explosion sparked inside the battleship.

Jia Yan felt a rapid increase in temperature, and the compound eyes flickered as he quickly pulled back!

His speed was extremely fast, the explosion from behind couldn’t catch up with him.

Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!!!!!!———

The belated explosive noise robbed the world of its colors. All creatures could only see a scene filled with flames. The facilities that were closer got entirely engulfed in the flames, causing heavy destruction.

Total destruction!

This time, the destruction symbolized that Earth City was not just gone mad!

They were mad, indeed, but they also possess mad combat power, and even a capability of victory!

”Ah! How is this possible! Earth City actually has such combat power, and their strategies and arrangement, these aren’t something that indigenous forces could devise. Who can tell me, which commander is in charge of this force, he’s so monstrous! The series of contingencies are simply terrifying!”
