Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 604: Chapter 11 Confrontation of the Strong Ones! [Seeking Subscription]_2

However, since Otto, this top-tier Auster warrior, was here with him without making a move, he had absolutely no countermeasure, because if he began fighting, Otto would inevitably join in. Jia Yan did not have any confidence in defeating this strength now, and winning over the Fifth City was key to their next objective. Therefore, at this moment, it was more advantageous for Earth City to refrain from interfering with the battle below.

”Very well! Lord Assassin seems to be a straight shooter, let’s just watch the battle unfold.” Otto finished speaking and fell silent. He simply hovered in mid-air, as the powerful beings around him occasionally looked up to where he was, but they didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.

”Otto’s strength really is extraordinary,” said Jia Yan, as he saw this, feeling a sinking feeling in his heart.

Seeing such a powerful being with his own eyes felt completely different from hearing about it by word of mouth. He realized possibly, his strength might not match up to this warrior. Even though the other party hadn’t revealed any great power, every movement carried a kind of indescribable feeling of power. By comparison, Jia Yan had to admit he hadn’t reached that level yet.

If not for his faith in the fortitude of his Bluish Defense and other strengths, he might have been at a disadvantage in this conversation.

Jia Yan’s performance did cause Otto in mid-air to become somewhat puzzled.

”This Lord Assassin talked to me despite clearly being overwhelmed by my Brainwave Power and authority, yet he maintained a non-humble, non-arrogant attitude. It makes me wonder, does he really have the guts to compete with me or is he just pretending?”

As a well-seasoned warrior, Otto had a keen understanding of an enemy’s mentality. He quickly analyzed several possibilities behind Jia Yan’s behavior.

However, even Otto couldn’t figure out whether Jia Yan was putting on an act or actually possessed the will to fight against him.

If he could act now, Otto would show no mercy, but the matter involved a great many international issues. Especially when looking at the big picture, he couldn’t launch an attack until many negotiations had been successful. So he had to opt for a hands-off approach.

He could only exert pressure on his opponent by being present at the scene, and take the opportunity to study what this future enemy might be like. Although he previously thought of him as an insignificant figure who could be erased with a casual swipe of the hand.

However, Jia Yan’s performance had indeed intrigued him.

The two strong beings thus began their standoff.

And it wasn’t due to restrictions from other civilizations. Even if there were no such limits, Otto would still stand up to an unknown Star Space Level who dared to resist his authority. He had to figure out their strength and capabilities.

If others knew that the relatively unknown head of Earth City, ’Lord Assassin’, could actually stand against Otto, it would be shocking news!

The battle continued below!

Boom! Boom! Boom!!

Clang! Clang! Clang!!

The Earth City tanks were still at the forefront. The No.5 City Security Team’s battle line, now lacking the support of heavy artillery, was losing firepower.

Bullet holes were quickly blocked by Earth City soldiers using special materials. More and more weapons fell silent as a result.

”The battle line is breaking apart! It’s breaking apart!”

Finally, amidst desperate cheers from the Earth City fighters and terrified cries from the No.5 City Security Team, the carefully constructed defensive line showed a crevice!

Crack! Crack!!

The noise was not very noticeable amid the battlefield, but to the Earth City troops, it was the sweetest sound heard so far!

”Let me do it!”

A soldier from Earth City, standing nearly seven meters tall, aimed a rocket launcher-like weapon at the crevasse in the defensive line and fired!

Whizz-!

A bright, pale beam shot out and hit the breach in the battle line!

Boom!!!

Sure enough, after the rocket launcher hit, a gaping hole appeared, revealing the horrified faces of the No.5 City Security Team members to all the Earth City soldiers!

”The battle line has broken! We’ve got this! Charge!”

A powerful Earth City soldier enthusiastically led the charge into the gaping hole!

”Charge!” Behind him, countless Earth City temporary soldiers followed suit, with equal gusto, rushing towards the hole.

All the members of Earth City attacking the battle line, tens of thousands in total, were heading for the opening. It would seem that they had all forgotten that they had been forcibly drafted to fight this war. Or, were they trying to earn their freedom with their bravery? Or were they genuinely fighting for Earth City in hopes of improving their future status?
