Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 646: Chapter 27 Star Thief! [Second Update 5000 Words]_3

It was inevitable considering that Jia Yan’s previous experiences in space happened before several mutations. Now, his body had undergone dramatic changes and adapting to the starry sky wasn’t going to be immediate.

”Anyway, we are still lingering in the small asteroid belt for now. This period is also when I need to heal my body and retrain for space flight and space combat!”

Jia Yan knew that he could not always fight within planets, especially now that Earth City had reached the Universe. The battles he would face in the future could mostly be space battles.

So he needed to seize this opportunity to get at least familiar with the feeling of space flight.

...

A massive body was constantly flying and colliding between small meteorites!

Suddenly, a massive cloud of dust erupted from a meteorite roughly one hundred meters in diameter.

Everything was like a silent film, the loud clangs caused by the collisions did not resonate, and instead, dust soared into the sky. Some matter scattered into the starry sky and flew into the depths of the universe...

Jia Yan was humiliatingly lying on the surface of this meteorite. After his collision, the meteorite behind him also changed its orbit. Before long, it could collide with other meteorites nearby, the chain reaction might cause some negative effects on this small asteroid belt.

But none of these mattered to Jia Yan at this time. As a matter of fact, he had lost count of how many similar incidents had happened!

”After tens of hours of practice, I still cannot pass through this small asteroid belt while maintaining a speed about fifty times the speed of sound!”

Jia Yan discouragingly got up from the surface of the small asteroid, a strange gleam filled his compound eyes.

He couldn’t figure out why his control ability would completely lose control at fifty times the speed of sound. Especially when passing through the asteroid belt, his agility dropped unimaginably.

That natural feeling also didn’t appear again, every time he ended up crashing into a small asteroid, making him look incredibly pathetic.

If he was in a vacuum with no obstruction, Jia Yan realized that without any resistance, his body could keep accelerating. The stronger his brainwave power was, the higher he could accelerate to, even reaching a terrifying state!

However, Jia Yan didn’t actually test it because that would mean he would be too far from the fleet. If he couldn’t get back, that would become the most ludicrous joke in history.

”Alright! Let’s try again!”

Just when Jia Yan wanted to continue his practice...

”Lord Giant Mosquito, we have detected ten unidentified spacecraft shadows. They seem to be star thieves, you need to come back quickly!”

Daphne’s voice was transmitted from the communication device.

”Star thieves?!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes showed a puzzled expression, and then he remembered, this was the ’star thief’ that the frog youngster had mentioned before, right?

”Stealing other’s belongings for personal growth and expansion, it seems a bit similar to us in Earth City.”

Regarding the existence of star thieves, Jia Yan was extremely curious. He didn’t expect that there would be such forces in alien civilizations, just like those in Earth’s sci-fi movies. But it wasn’t surprising, considering that forces like them in the Grey-Yellow Star, which were hunted by major civilizations, could hide in the starry sky where those civilizations couldn’t find them. It must be easy for those star thieves, who were familiar with the starry sky, to easily evade the official forces while looting.

After all, the universe was simply too big. The Grey-Yellow Star was so tiny, but the major civilizations were fighting bloodily there without any conclusive results, let alone the vast starry sky!

Jia Yan put away the thought of continuing his training. His brainwave power activated, and his body turned into a flash of light in the pitch-black vacuum, shooting towards the several large spaceships of Earth City!

”Hey, ship ahead, according to the rules, you have to pay us customs tax! Otherwise, we can launch an attack on you!” A haughty voice came from the public communication channel.

Daphne was in the command cabin of the largest transport ship. Staff members were busy at work, conducting various mapping and intelligence calculations, their faces heavy with anticipation.

”Their models may not be battleships, but they have been modified, so their combat power is far more powerful than our firepower!”

After the calculation, an intelligence personnel sent the data he got to the holographic screen in front of Daphne.

Daphne listened to her subordinates’ tactical analysis. In fact, she felt completely clueless about space war. But at this moment, she had no choice but to take charge because there was no one else who could.

”I have no experience in this area, you can share your thoughts.” Daphne said.

”My Lord! When our merchant fleet was attacked by star thieves in the past, we chose to surrender and gave them some materials or money. Then they would let us go. We can do the same now.” A timid-looking former member of the transport ship suggested, glancing at the other Earth City members.

”Bastards, how could we Earth City surrender to these parasites?! My Lord, I suggest we completely annihilate them. Otherwise, even if we give them materials and money, once they know we are the forces the major civilizations are trying to arrest, they will definitely sell us out!” Another Earth City member passionately roared back, eager to fight.

After all, Earth City members were mostly part of the Original Gold Desert forces, they were extremely combative. Now that they saw themselves as Earth City members, they cared a lot about maintaining Earth City.

”We can’t win! After all, this is the universe, your combat ability can’t produce much impact from such a long distance. Their firepower can be sprayed at us, if you decide not to surrender, then my suggestion is to run quickly. Right now, they haven’t reached the optimal firing distance. If we choose to flee, they might not be able to pursue us!”
