Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5158: Peeled Like Onions

Naturally, what Girias released was not a dignified sound.

The dagger torture ripping into his flesh and bones tore out of him a raw and animalistic voice, bouncing off the stone walls and coming back at him from every direction. His chains rattled violently as his body tried instinctively to pull away and found nowhere to go.

The scratch of the Corrosion Hex’s rash was still making him suffer, but the pain in his left leg was beyond his ability to endure.

He had pushed his head forward in an attempt to plead, but his face had half-caved in, making him look like a wretched spawn who was born with facial defects.

Davis continued to carve Girias’s leg as though he were peeling onions. One toe after another. Flesh after flesh. Layer after layer.

The torture had just started.

“Divine Emperor of Death!” Harmon’s gaze trembled, “Forgive me! I didn’t want to-“

*Bang!~*

This time, Evelynn’s foot descended on Harmon’s face, the hook of her heel sinking into his mouth and carving a hole.

When she pulled back, blood spurted out in copious amounts.

Harmon wasn’t able to speak as blood filled his mouth.

“What? You fried her leg into ashes. Don’t think I’ll spare you.”

Davis pointed the dagger at him before moving to him.

“Yiarghhhhh!!!!!!!!”

Soon, Harmon’s screams also resounded around the cave.

His left leg was targeted, but this time, the ripped flesh was burned with annihilative heavenly lightning.

Wherever the blade went, the flesh charred and emitted a good smell.

As a fey, Evelynn was inevitably attracted to this fragrance, the fragrance of fresh meat. It was edible, but she frowned, making an expression of disgust.

The hatred she held against them was no less than Davis’ when she heard of Isabella and the others suffering because of these two. She wished she had been there for them.

With a poison expert like her in the scene, no one would’ve made a move without thinking thrice.

In the shadows, two people shuddered as they watched this scene unfold, Davis, the Divine Emperor of Death, narrating their history slowly while making it painful for Girias and Harmon as much as possible.

Back then, Girias and Harmon had worked together to kill Isabella in the Candidacy.

They had caused Isabella to lose a leg, burn it with dark lightning, hit her with a sapphire sphere in a hidden pagoda trial that caused her soul energy, and constantly harassed her in order to kill her, and even insulted her with many crass words used for shameless and improper women.

Moreover, they had also caused pain to Flamerose and Frostrose as the twins had sacrificed themselves to make sure Isabella won the hidden pagoda trial.

Even after coming out of the hidden pagoda, they continued to hunt Isabella, not giving her a chance to grow as they were afraid that she would grow powerful and retaliate, but it was clear to him that their true intentions were to obtain her Emperor-Tier Earth Dragon Bloodline or devour her and strength their body, and perhaps, even violate her publicly in the process.

At that time, he had been so vexed because he had been unable to do anything other than sit at home and watch the Candidacy Projection.

He took out his anger on their clans as he suppressed the Dark Moon Lightning Serpent Clan because they had surrendered, although Mira had gone ahead and killed a few elders because their inheritor Girias was so hateful. As for the other clan, the Soul-Devouring Blood Vulture Clan, he had basically killed all of their elders and forced them into sealing themselves for a hundred thousand years in a mini-realm.

However, with the World Master evicting all of them from her world, he had no idea what came of them.

He guessed the Dark Moon Lightning Serpent Clan might’ve latched onto some legs to survive, but it was difficult for the Soul-Devouring Blood Vulture Clan to survive since they were Magical Soul Beasts whose body parts were in high demand.

They would be hunted down before they could retaliate. Considering he eliminated all their elders, he supposed all of them died.

While taking it out on their clans, he could only remember a single woman who was a magical beast.

She was the previous Young Mistress Candidate named Licora Harmon.

He told her he would return in a month to pick her up, and if he didn’t, it meant he didn’t need her.

He had indeed forgotten about her.

However, he had told Schleya about her, so he guessed it was possible Licora Harmon was with Schleya. However, he had never seen her with Schleya, so he wasn’t sure, making him wonder if she was somewhere in the Sanctuary living a quiet and ordinary life.

He didn’t know what Licora Harmon was up to as he hadn’t seen her at all, but if she was with Schleya, he guessed that she was inside Schleya’s life ring, possibly being treated like a blood slave.

*Puchi!~*

After severing the final piece of flesh under the hip, Davis paused for a moment as he saw that the two of their lower bodies were gone, peeled away like jerky.

He had even carved their third legs without realizing it, stabbing it full of holes.

Nonetheless, with these two villains still harassing Isabella, he was extremely pissed, but since his Evelynn, Isabella, and Shirley were constantly in danger, it also had him highly worried. His wives had offered their bodies as solace to calm him, not that they purely did to ease his worry, since they were also passionate during that time.

But he still remembered Celestia, who was little at that time, crying and running away as she claimed that he didn’t care about her mother, Isabella, making his heart feel pain and sadness.

He didn’t know how many times he had to quell his anger while he could only helplessly watch Harmon and Girias hunt down his Isabella.

After the Candidacy ended, they were completely gone as though they were dead, but now that he met them here, how could he let them leave, much less die easily?

Even if he had to jeopardize the plan, he still wanted to take his time torturing them and enjoy the process like a psychopathic sadist.

The joy he derived from this was greater than he had ever felt in any form of revenge in the past.

If there was any regret, he only wished that there was Isabella here to personally take revenge on them, and Mingzhi were here to commit war crimes on them with him.

“Don’t worry.”

Davis pulled back his bloodied dagger. His face was stained with blood while his lips revealed a smirk filled with malice while twisted joy still revolved in his gaze.

“I won’t let the two of you die, I swear. The place you belong to is the purgatory chamber of my family’s prison. There’s even a rat who is being burned by soul flames to accompany you there.”

Life energy descended, starting to heal the two of them.

Girias and Harmon’s tears were overflowing without end as they sobbed pitifully. Their upper bodies were mutilated by their own hands as they couldn’t stop scratching and peeling their skin away from them. Blood flowed across the wet surface.

Their attempts to beg and plead, even to curse, were all ignored.

With their ability to counterattack or kill themselves removed, they could only endure the terrifying revenge and cruelty of the Divine Emperor of Death.
