Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5154: Epsila’s Will

“Master, you’re back~”

Epsila happily echoed as she saw him approach.

“My little Epsila, I have a gift for you.”

Davis appeared in front of her and took out a vial. He popped out a pill that fell on his palm, rolling ever so lightly before coming to a stop.

“Oooh~”

Epsila saw the captivating pill in his hand, glowing like a flawless orb, resembling a silvery-white pearl of the purest quality, measuring the size of a pigeon’s egg; its surface was smooth and lustrous, reflecting light with a gentle, radiant glow. This silvery-white hue was like a moonbeam encapsulated in solid form, seemingly shimmering and swirling as if it held the very essence of starlight.

She leaned in for a thorough inspection and found intricate patterns, almost like constellations, subtly etched into the surface of the pill, appearing to be alive, their faintly luminescent lines intertwining and dancing like an illusion, but the one who looked at it could clearly tell it was the amalgamation of nearly every Law.

“This is the Upper Celestial Luminescence Pill, a Peak-Level Empyrean Grade Pill that’s at the sixth rank, Normal Tier Pill. No, don’t use it to increase your comprehension or essence. I’ll have our Spirit-Tier Celestial Luminescence Pill consume them all and gain their essence, but right now, I wonder if you can probe the Ethereal Lumina Tree with this in your hand.”

He asked her with a hint of hope, causing her to blink.

“I can try.”

“Remember to relay friendly intent… and do not force it…!” Davis reminded her like he was reminding a child.

Epsila giggled as she flew around Fairy Divinacia amidst the energy vortex before leaving the space. She no longer hid amidst Fairy Divinacia and started to absorb energy as she withstood the current, but this time, she had the Upper Celestial Luminescence Pill in her hands as she rushed towards the leak.

“…!”

Epsila held her breath as she felt a faint aura eclipsing her.

Her emerald pupils dilated as her long crystalline hair, radiating a captivating luminosity of finely extending crystalline filaments, rose to the air, each strand glistening with a soft, blue-green glow reminiscent of a gemstone, making her appear dazzling like a true treasure that had come to life.

Her Will as a thirteenth rank Soulforge Elevation Resonance Pill was not subpar, but it wasn’t great either. However, she was an Exalted-Tier Pill, a pill spirit who could cultivate and possess a fleshly body, and she had her own pride developed over the years of bestowing people with her grace and them praising her to the heavens.

Her dilated pupils widened as she released her Will, seeking audience as she released a friendly intent as her master instructed.

The raging current of the heaven and earth energy felt like it was going to crush her.

However, it suddenly became as calm as a gentle river.

‘This…’

Both Fairy Divinacia and Davis were stunned.

Had Epsila managed to connect with the Will of the Ethereal Lumina Tree!?

At this moment, the whizzing sounds of the rushing river of heaven and earth energy suddenly stopped, replaced by a tranquil atmosphere.

This lasted for a few moments before a dense surge of heaven and earth energy emerged from the leak and engulfed Epsila and Fairy Divinacia.

“…”

Davis, who stood at a distance, looked left and right, not knowing what to do.

“It’s fine!”

But suddenly, Fairy Divinacia’s voice echoed out, “It feels like I’m no longer absorbing energy, but I’m being bestowed with energy~”

The heaven and earth energy here was so thick that it practically made the place they were standing in a dense fog that restricted visibility, leaving Davis speechless.

“Epsila should feel the same…” Amidst the excitement, Fairy Divinacia’s voice was strained.

However, it didn’t seem like she felt any danger, which caused Davis to put his steady hands ready to save them down.

“Epsila, can you hear me!?”

Davis yelled out, trying to listen to her voice.

He didn’t want to enter this stream and cause something untoward to happen since he was a Desolate Divergent.

“Master, I’m floating…!”

“Flute? You have a flute?”

“No! I’m floating in the heavens! I can feel the entirety of the cities outside right now…!”

“What…? I can’t hear you.”

“I’m overlooking all~”

Epsila hovered in the stream as she revealed an ecstatic expression.

In her pupils, the entirety of the Twelve Bastion Cities was visible. Lanterns and huge lampposts flickered all over the Bastion Cities as if they had an unstable connection to the flow of heaven and earth energy from the Ethereal Lumina Tree.

She didn’t forget herself, keenly using her Will to get all the energy they wanted from the Ethereal Lumina Tree.

She regained her focus and looked into the stream of energy, but was unable to see anything other than feel that there was a vast sense of distance between her and the Will of the Ethereal Lumina Tree.

‘It’s fine… as long as the grand tree is willing to help… master will be pleased…’ She thought as she smiled.

“Amazing!”

Fairy Divinacia exclaimed, unlike herself, “My reserve seed… It’s nearly filled to the layer limit, and the bestowal is still continuing at an explosive rate…! If this doesn’t stop, I’ll have the energy levels of a World Hegemon in a few hours!”

“…!?”

Davis was stunned.

Fairy Divinacia could never absorb at such speeds. Otherwise, she would’ve absorbed from the Ethereal Lumina Tree in the Azure Tree Lower Realm to have greater reserves of energy easily.

In front of his gaze, the dense fog looked solidified to him. To think it had formed a layer of energy coating to prevent the stream from leaking. He instantly knew for a fact this was the work of the Will of the Ethereal Lumina Tree.

It really existed.

He was slightly worried about Epsila, wondering if she was alright as he couldn’t hear much of what she said.

He was only able to pick up that she was floating, cities and overlooking which more or less formed an inkling in his mind but didn’t know for sure.

However, he felt this was good.

The Upper Celestial Luminescence Pill was made from the Lustrous Celestial Fruit connected to this very Ethereal Lumina Fruit. He felt it would improve the chances of Epsila connecting with its Will, and it turned out just as he expected.

But the increase in the rate of absorption of energy was a huge blessing that Davis didn’t expect!

With this, he felt the chances of his plan to end the Desolate Era were more feasible.

However, he still had something to finish here.

“Good!” Davis roared, “Gain as much energy as you can and take care of Epsila. Guard her. Don’t stay for too long if you deem it dangerous. As long as we have enough for the mission, it’s great. I’ll go gather our teammates and be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.”

“Understood~”

Fairy Divinacia said in a joyful tone.

Right now, she felt ecstatic from the heaven and earth energy pouring into her. It was quite the grand feast!

“…”

Davis turned around.

However, his expression wasn’t filled with excitement or nervousness but with a dark, cruel smile.

He supposed he need not wait until the end of the third day to bring those bastards above to the underground essence spring.
