Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4931  A New Energy

Light and darkness began emerging from his palms, conjoining into one. However, they didnʼt form into energy but remained at the surface of his palm like a coating. His brows flickered ever so lightly, finding it hard to maintain light and darkness in this manner.

Regardless, he was capable of using both energies at the same time thanks to his soul physique. Even before creating the Everlasting Samsara Tribunal Soul Physique, he could use both energies thanks to Fallen Heaven being an anchor to his soul. Thanks to its presence, no side effects appeared in him. The same could be said about his soulʼs physique since it was also an extension of light and darkness, connecting to life and death.

With his palms pointed at Natalya, he used Enigmatic Heart Laws.

Judgment Laws - the fusion of Enigmatic Heart Laws and Death Laws. There was no need to go at length about this since it was plain to understand.

The fusion of Enigmatic Heart Laws and Life Laws was still unnamed. He wanted to name it Harmony Laws, but it seemed like it had already been taken. With its ability based on pacifying and taming, he felt like Consonance Laws or Taming Laws were apt. He even felt the latter could be better because he felt this had immense potential for him to become a beast tamer.

Then, there was the fusion of Enigmatic Heart Laws and Illusion Laws he used on Almer Spacewill. It was also unnamed, but its ability was terrifying since it could rewrite entire memories with flawless precision that even some other person who was scouring the victimʼs memories would find it difficult to detect that it had been tampered with.

He had comprehended three or more types of fusion with Enigmatic Heart Laws and still had plans for many more. His insights into the fusion between Enigmatic Heart Laws and other Laws only grew as he climbed the ladder of cultivation stages and saw other Enigmatic Heart Law users also do the same.

Mingzhi had learned the fusion of Enigmatic Heart Laws and Charm Laws.

A few days ago, he had just seen Anastasia Archus fuse Enigmatic Heart Laws and Sword Laws. Battling her was immensely beneficial for him. This kind of sharpness only gave him more insights into making his Enigmatic Heart Laws more terrifying and destructive.

However, what he was going to do was delicate because it was a fusion of Enigmatic Heart Laws and a combination of Light Laws and Darkness Laws.

ʼRemember… remember… although you didnʼt personally see it… Fairy Qiyra claimed that Realm Master Malzor Hexadra would be able to come out unscathed from the twilight space thanks to his deep comprehension of Darkness Laws. If he could reverse- make the real unreal, then thereʼs no reason that I, who could use both light and darkness, canʼt grab hold of Natalya, who is unreal in my perception…ʼ

Davis hands quivered ever so lightly.

He was not just combining darkness and light but keeping it extremely gentle so that it wouldnʼt harm Natalya, who had her cultivation sealed.

He didnʼt know her exact state, but didnʼt think her physical prowess wouldʼve also been sealed. She would still be an Empyrean, but unable to use her energy from head to toe. He imagined that even her entire cultivation had been ʼconcealedʼ, disallowing her to use it.

In any case, since Natalyaʼs perception was also taken away, she wouldnʼt be able to circulate her energy around. She would be just like a disabled mortal.

Nonetheless, Davis remained calm.

Iesha looked curious, wondering why he wasnʼt using life energy but some kind of totally different energy. However, she didnʼt ask and kept quiet, continuing to stand near them like she was an ice statue.

Viridia also stayed by her fatherʼs side, her expression astute and her gaze never-resting. She kept a full eye on them as though afraid that both might disappear from her sight. Even her third eye was open, and she liked to think she helped them anchor to this space.

In the entire Davis Family, only she had a better understanding of what was going on between her father and Mother Natalya. She wasnʼt foreign to the concept of Twilight Laws since Mother Mingzhi showcased it to them a few times. The moment Davis used darkness and light, she knew Father couldnʼt see mother but she remained quiet, refusing to acknowledge it since she was also aware of the Heavenly Restriction Pact and its implications.

If Father could not manage to find Mother Natalya, then she also knew Mother Natalya might really disappear.

Time passed.

A minute- two- then five.

Evelynn and the others came back, hearing that Davis was going to treat Natalya.

At first, tension in the atmosphere was high, but they slowly came to relax at the thirty-minute point since they realized Davis was still treating her. It appeared to be a slow process, so they also left one after another, not wanting to disturb.

However, they still lurked around the Imperial Garden, not really leaving.

”This is indeed a strange method to cure someone. Do light and darkness together heal people? Maybe it can cure blindness, but it can cure sensations as well? But this phenomenon isnʼt entirely physical.”

Viridia kept a watch when a hand fell on her shoulder. She turned to look and saw that it was her twin brother who was a head taller than her.

He used a physical transmission to be discreet, so she responded in kind.

”Donʼt speculate, dummy.”

”…” Azariel went speechless before he nodded, ”Yeah, right…”

”Itʼs fine. Father will definitely save the second mother, no matter how long it takes. You just watch.” Viridia touched his hand, comforting him.

She knew he felt highly responsible because he took on the role of protecting the family when father was absent.

”Hmm.” Azariel nodded.

Somewhere else in the garden, two figures sat on a bench.

It was none other than Lydia and Arc.

Lydia kept swaying her legs, but her expression was a bit dull.

”Do you think Mother Natalya will be fine?” She asked, pouting.

”She will be since father is here,” Arc said confidently, but sighed lightly, ”I hope mother is doing well. With my birth and her elder sisterʼs sickness, I hope it doesnʼt take a toll on her health. There is only so much one can withstand before they experience a loss of vitality, no matter how strong they are.”

”Thatʼs true.” Lydia nodded.

When oneʼs own power worked against oneself from a sensation of deep loss or anger, there was nothing one could do. A common example of loss of vitality is oneʼs hair turning white from a great depression or despair.

She heard that Mother Tinaʼs hair wasnʼt white before.

Turning to look up, her gaze turned distant.

”Whatʼs my cool little sister thinking?” Arc leaned on the bench as he also followed her gaze.
