Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4912  Staring At Each Other

”Lucian, Lucian.” Eterna nudged, ”Father left out a lot about his tribulation. Mind telling us what happened?”

”Yeah, Iʼm also curious...” Karyot said with an interested expression.

”…” Lucian blinked.

He was starting to forget a lot of scenes already. Evidently, the karmic burden from witnessing this alone was extremely high. He didnʼt think it was good to talk about whatever remained in his mind, and felt a dangerous feeling swell inside him. However, before he could say anything, a commotion erupted on the opposite side at the center.

The banquet hall went silent suddenly.

Those who had their heads filling their plates also looked up, wondering if something happened when they turned their heads to see.

Mingzhi was busy serving the guests with plenty of dishes, making sure they never ran out of food as she had conversations with them. She was more than happy to entertain them since they brought Davis home safely.

Particularly, she was going for Fairy Qiyra Darkstar since Davis gave her a heads up about the latterʼs ability to use Twilight Laws and said it would be good for her future if she could become her disciple, further enunciating that this was what allowed them to flee from the Realm Master of the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm.

Mingzhi was willing to become Fairy Qiyra Darkstarʼs disciple as long as the latter was accepting disciples.

She tried to get into her heart by serving a lot of dishes since Fairy Qiyra Darkstar seemed a bit susceptible to it. Just as she felt like she could bring up the topic, the noisy atmosphere turned silent yet glaring, making her raise her head.

ʼEvelynn and Zenova… these two…ʼ Mingzhi inwardly turned speechless.

If she wanted, she could also butt heads, but she didnʼt do so because she came to love the peaceful nature of the family. As for rage, she decided to show it all outward to those Heavenʼs Warriors and other enemies. Obviously, she learned that Davis slept with Zenova and got her pregnant. Nothing could miss her net, as even her sisters were informants. Nadia came swooping in, telling her this interesting news.

She wondered if Evelynn knew about it lest she hurt the child inside Zenova, not that it could be hurt so soon.

Still, Evelynnʼs powers were poisonous. That was not good for anything that required growth.

”Whatʼs wrong? You look like you have something to say.”

Evelynn continued glancing at Zenova, who stood diagonally behind her.

”…” Zenovaʼs bosoms heaved.

There was indeed an extraordinary pressure while standing before the first wife. It was as though a part of her subconscious already acknowledged Evelynn as the big sister, making her feel incensed as she smiled.

”I want to sit beside my Emperor.”

Davis also cast a glance at her, wondering what she was up to when she openly stated she wanted to sit by his side. He inwardly nodded, feeling that it wasnʼt anything trouble-making as it was right to ask.

”Ah~ Zenova, take-”

Shea immediately stood up, wanting to offer her seat, but Davis made her sit down.

”I want Shea on my right side for now. The left side can be decided by Evelynn, who currently sits on it.”

Davis wrapped his hand around Sheaʼs neck, making her gawk.

Why was he letting them clash?

On the other hand, neither Evelynn nor Zenova moved gazes. They stared at each other, their gazes intense and burning as though wanting to tear each other apart. Sitting beside Evelynn, Shirley was flabbergasted, but her eyes were dreamy as she craved this kind of drama. An unconcealable smile appeared over her lips as they curled inward.

”I also want this seat as it seems comfortable.” Zenova declared, her voice cold as it was sexy.

Evelynnʼs brows furrowed, ”Who are you to be demanding this seat?”

”Oh? Didnʼt our Emperor make it clear that Iʼm his thirty-second wife, one of your little sisters?” Her aura rose ever so lightly, revealing her Level Six Empyrean Stage Cultivation even for the ones who couldnʼt probe her true cultivation.

She made it clear, as though saying that Davisʼs favor was with her.

Evelynnʼs gaze flickered.

She was still a Level One Empyrean, unable to deal with Zenova. However, her poison wasnʼt something that could be underestimated, as it might even kill Exalts if they were caught vulnerable or suffered too much poisoning from her.

In that case, she knew it would affect the child, not that he intended to cause a scene in the joyous banquet.

Evelynn turned to look straight before she took her plate and stood up. She then walked away nonchalantly.

”You said it. Not me.”

”…” Zenova watched her leave in confusion before her expression froze.

Evelynnʼs playful voice emerged again in her voice, ʼYou said it, not me~ʼ

Her mind rumbled as she nearly broke the plate she held, cracks forming in it.

She couldnʼt believe she had made such a foundational mistake. The opponent was so big that she wasnʼt careful of her footing, causing her to take a misstep.

Davis nearly laughed, but he pulled the standing Zenova close and made her sit down.

”Everyone,” He then flew up, appearing behind them as he looked at his wives from behind, ”This is a great opportunity for me to introduce Zenova officially. She is indeed my thirty-second wife. Her entry into my harem isnʼt something illegal or a something unfair. She worked hard- planning every move even amidst danger. She intended to die if she couldnʼt obtain me, her passion towards me reaching a level I couldnʼt imagine. Her charm got to me, but you all know how dangerous she could be; some of you still admittedly are not alright with her presence here.”

”Hence, I made an ultimatum, and she decided to take it, treat you all as sisters instead of something lesser. I hope you can hear my words, sense my intent, and try to treat her the same as much as possible.”

”…”

Zenova was already blushing uncomfortably halfway when he said she worked hard even amidst danger. She glared at him for making a crappy introduction.

Davis remained smug. He did intend to embarrass Zenova. He would continue doing it as a part of disciplining her since letting her to her devices would only make her grow arrogant. However, he intended to keep it sane. Even during dual cultivation, he didnʼt make her do embarrassing positions or something that would strip her of her dignity completely.

With Heart Intent, he knew how to keep her afloat while still keeping her attached to him.

”Welcome, little sister~” Shirley giggled, her crimson eyes glancing at her playfully.

With her lead, Shea also echoed, ”Welcome, little sister!~”

”Little sister~”

”Little sister Thunderblaze~” Aila said cheekily.

”Little sister Zenova~~~”

Immediately, the others called out to her, even Evelynn, who raised her hand from beside Isabella and waved at her.

”…!”

Zenova fumed inwardly as her pupils quivered. This wasnʼt the label or title she wanted!

”Next- the one who is mysterious beyond the sea of time and saved our lives without all of us knowing- Jade Aurora, my thirty-third wife.”

Davis pointed to Jade Aurora, who sat over to the left side corner, along with Ivy Aries.

Jade Aurora was speechless with that kind of introduction. Who saved whom? It was exaggerated even for a dream.

”Welcome, little sister Jade~~~” Evelynn and the others echoed.

The harem was much more receptive to Jade, making it evident that Zenova wasnʼt more welcome here than her.

As for the children, they didnʼt think it was necessary for them to voice out their opinion since it didnʼt matter. They could only cast a side-eye or remain speechless at their fatherʼs way of doing things. Even their mothers were all aboard, so what could they do?

Davis inwardly chuckled as he sensed Zenovaʼs emotions, ʼSooner or later, Zenova should know to crumble under the pressure that is called the harem and start treating everyone equally after they finally see eye to eye…ʼ

He felt this humbling session was needed for Zenova, and the rest could be figured out later.

It was too bad Xiu Juili wasnʼt here, or he wouldʼve introduced her first instead of Zenova. Natalya was missing too, and no one said anything about her, making him imagine she was in seclusion, but his heart couldnʼt help but feel uneasy.

Nonetheless, his gaze couldnʼt help but fall on Ellia, who sat beside them but avoided eye contact with him. He knew she was probably incredibly worried right now because after this, he was definitely going to meet Lydia. He guessed his uneasiness also stemmed from this matter.

As for Illumina, he felt like doing her the honors later when she was ready- or rather, fate allowed him to hold her. Otherwise, it was too soon and would only cause Illumina to suffer.

Nonetheless, Davis returned to his seat, held Zenova lovingly as he gave her a kiss on the cheek, finally calming her down. She didnʼt look like she disliked that, as she appeared to enjoy public displays of affection, unlike Shea, making him nearly want to eat her again.

He continued announcing more matters.

Dalila brought in a list of the treasures they held with her avatar, and Davis gifted Saintess Lunariaʼs disciples one after another for their help, intending to keep his promise of uplifting them to a powerful level for starters.
