Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4930  Heavenly Restriction Pactʼs Zone

Davis was on his way to the Imperial Garden, but his pace was slow.

By this time, he figured out some concepts or rules of the Heavenly Restriction Pact. Of course, all of them were only unconfirmed guesses, but unless there were changes to the situation, he preferred to think that his guesses were more or less right.

He didnʼt know when Fallen Heaven went silent. Did it go silent as soon as he landed in the celestial body, or only went silent after he entered the sanctuary, or after he entered the Imperial Garden and met with Natalya? He was unable to tell, so right now, he figured the safe range for him to remain in this challenge was somewhere around the outskirts of his estate.

He forbade himself from leaving the estate grounds for the foreseeable future until he could save Natalya.

Then came the time limit.

Surely, this challenge cannot prolong or extend until the next year, much less the end of the universe, since that would mean unlimited time on the challenge. He felt like he had a week or a month from the time the Heavenly Restriction Pact was formed.

If this were true, he felt like building a temple for Fairy Qiyra Darkstar using his own hands and sweat. If not for her, he wouldnʼt have been able to return quickly.

But if there was no time limit and instead there was something like him forgetting Natalya as time gradually passes by because of a karmic burden or some other kind of Law that he couldnʼt tell, then he felt he was momentarily safe, and the challenge would continue across weeks since his Will had reached above the Exalt Stage. The heavens would need way more firepower than what it brought during his tribulation to make him forget things.

He felt that it wasnʼt possible since the heavens always followed rules.

Even in this challenge, the heavens didnʼt break any rules since it was indeed in his tribulation that Natalya challenged the heavens that it wouldnʼt be able to separate them, causing her to become completely invisible to him.

Hence, it made sense why she would disappear from his senses.

Nonetheless, maybe it would be years before the forgetful veil of the heavens could get to him, finally causing him to lose the challenge.

Still, he didnʼt know if it was a time-based time limit or a memory-based time limit, so at the very least, he knew he had a week to maneuver from the time of his tribulation. Five days had already been spent making the journey here, so that would mean he only had two days left.

ʼKeep myself to this region and save Natalya within two days… shouldnʼt be hard…ʼ

Davis landed near the gates of his estate and continued to walk down the trimmed and decorated forest path slowly. His hands were within his sleeves as he walked coolly, his gaze roaming the buildings before he finally arrived in the Imperial Garden.

He walked over before he met Viridia at the entrance, her expression worried.

”Father…”

Davis gazed at her hand, ”Viridia, are you fine?”

”Mhm.” Viridia waved her hand, showing nothing was wrong, ”Mother Ellia healed me.”

Davisʼs chest rose before he smiled relaxedly, ”Good. Where are the little children?”

”Theyʼre still inside- playing.”

Davis nodded before he looked deeper into the Imperial Garden, wondering if he could at least spot where Natalya was this time, but didnʼt want to risk it, so his gaze became transient as he raised his hand.

”Iʼve been wandering, chasing distant realms and hopes for the past few years. I stumbled on an obstacle and feel rather tired or maybe lazy. If you could, help me walk to your mother, Natalya.”

”Gladly, father~”

Viridia grabbed his hand and walked forward without hesitation.

Davis was inwardly moved.

His Viridia didnʼt even complain. She was a smart child, although she was already an adult who crossed twenty.

”Your husband must be blessed for you to be this caring and attentive. I heard you may have someone in your mind.”

Viridia turned to look at him, nearly rolling her eyes, ”I donʼt have any significant interests. Just motes of hope that may one day turn into a bright lantern that lights up my world. Life is fleeting, but with father and the others, I donʼt think Iʼm in any hurry.”

”Great. I wouldnʼt want to lose my daughter to some guy out there so soon.”

Davisʼs lips curled into an evil smile, ”Iʼm going to bury him tens of meters underground the moment I find him.”

”Father~” Viridia pouted, ”Although Iʼm not in any hurry, you canʼt scare away the potentials.”

”Hahaha!”

The two of them wasted no time in engaging in banter and improving the atmosphere.

Finally, Davis arrived at a footpath connecting to a corner. There, Iesha stood with her hand clasped mid-air by her side. Clearly, Iesha was holding Natalyaʼs hand and admiring the flowers while explaining what they looked like, but he couldnʼt see or sense Natalya at all.

It made his mood plummet, but he smiled brightly.

”Iesha, bring Natalya to the bench there. Iʼll sit in front of her to start the treatment.”

”Really? Great~”

Iesha quivered, her expression blooming in joy.

She informed Natalya, who had a vague look, before she nodded.

Davis could imagine that Natalya had a vague look that was neither joyful nor sorrowful, making him uncomfortable. He pushed away the pessimistic thoughts and kept his smile, sitting on the bench on one side as he folded his legs, sitting in a lotus position, and had Iesha make Natalya sit on the opposite side.

This way, he just had to look straight and stare at empty air, pretending it was Natalya, so others would not perceive and confirm that he actually couldnʼt see her.

First, he activated his karmic sight.

It was still as he expected.

He had used karmic sight while standing before Natalya earlier to see if he could find her, but he couldnʼt even find the karmic thread connecting them. It was also concealed by the heavens.

To this type of concealment, Davis had no idea about what it truly was. He could only think it was similar to Laphria Rinmeiʼs illusory-to-real ability or Twilight Laws that turn real to unreal and unreal to real.

To him, Natalya may not be real at this moment, causing him to be unable to sense her. There was a high possibility that Twilight Laws was being used here, but why? If he had to guess, it would be because Qiyra Darkstar used Twilight Laws to save him, forming karma, but since this matter happened after the tribulation, he wasnʼt sure.

Maybe it was simply Yin Laws and Ice Laws, the concept of mirror worlds.

Regardless, if it was Twilight Laws, then he felt it was still viable to counter since he didnʼt have to necessarily raise his devotion to Natalyaʼs level in order to find her.

ʼHow to counter Twilight Lawsʼs concealment? It was something that Mingzhi and I had discussed back then, but had no real solutions… the only known way to counter Twilight Laws is use Twilight Laws against it... hmm... let me try this one instead…ʼ

Davis raised his hands and hovered near Natalyaʼs face, strange energy drifting and reverberating off of him.
