Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3241 A Small Thread Sustaining A Hopeful Dream

If Davis was here, he wouldʼve seen the otherworldly maws rush to eat Clara and Tiaʼs karmic threads. But, he would have also not failed to see the enormous cocoon made up of millions of karmic strings covering Tia and Clara in it as though protecting them.

Even though otherworldly maws voraciously munched on those threads, they werenʼt able to tear their way through all.

However, those karmic threads suddenly constricted. They shrank all the way to the tiniest levels before expanding- no, inversely expanding as the image of Clara and Tia appeared in them in addition to their real bodies. Those images seemed to be made up of the same karmic threads that adorned the cocoon.

As a result, the number of karmic threads then significantly decreased, and the otherworldly maws were able to quickly gnaw through them all, their ripped jaws tearing apart everything in their wake, finally eating even Tia and Clara before they disappeared into the void.

Of course, these mysterious entities from the unknown parts of the universe only ate the karmic threads, so Tia and Clara were still there.

To have escaped from these mysterious entities, Davis wouldʼve been utterly shocked to his core if he had seen it happen with his own eyes. However, were Tia and Clara still safe? Even he might not be able to tell at this point.

Tia slumped to the ground, hanging her head back as she appeared to be knocked out cold. However, her eyes were overflowing with tears as she subconsciously saw some scenes but also heard a sonorous, ancient voice echoing with her very soul as though wanting to be etched in the deepest part of her soul.

”Tia— or myself, do not let this miracle end in vain, for four lives have been sacrificed to achieve this hopeful dream.”

”What? Who are- you are me?” Tia was strangely full of clarity at this moment.

She asked, but the response was more images that made her feel like she was pushed through the sands of time.

She saw the future, and from the moment this treatment started, it succeeded; Clara did not have to worry about heavenʼs influence, but when big brother Davis came back after a few hundred years, nothing was the same.

He lost everyone except Myria.

It was an unbearable event that completely changed his tone of speech, mannerisms, and even the way he treated other women. He became more protective of his family, more vindictive over the actions of their enemies, unreasonable towards strangers or indifferent to their plight, and closed off his heart to the women who wanted him as he never wanted to experience this pain again, not even wanting to talk about it.

Many events flashed past her eyes, each one making her heart churn with deep sorrow.

Tia felt like she had spent hundreds and thousands of years in the blink of an eye, what she experienced already fading into the bottomless pit of the abyss.

But after everything was over, she finally was standing along with three other women- no four, actually looking at herself in a mirror, gazing at her lips move even though no sound came out.

”Ever since big brother failed to overcome his Empyrean Tribulation, sent out from the universe, everything was lost. We waited a long time, but we never saw him again, possibly-”

Tiaʼs gaze shook, but she saw her future self continue.

”- so we decided we had no choice but to enact this time reversal we thought wouldnʼt even work. Death is a sure penalty, but we hoped we could relay our intents across, so we will be glad even in death if you can get this message, so even if you forget us, donʼt forget what Iʼm going to say as even through the efforts of all four of us, only we have a chance to communicate because of our physique.”

”Not even big sister Jade Aurora was able to transmit information to her old self with Timesea Laws?” Tia wanted to cry so much, but she barely held back her tears in this ephemeral state occurring within her soul.

”Yes~”

The mature Tia took a deep breath, lips crimson lips moving again, ”Thatʼs how much the heavens have sealed the usage of Time, but we managed to overcome it slightly with our combined efforts, buying time to relay as much as we could without imbuing karmic burden to big brother and the others.”

”You should already be aware that by fusing Claraʼs Sealing Laws and my Spacetime Laws, we become capable of slipping through Dimensions to escape from our enemies and even create our own domain of dimension, but there were Dimensions where even we ”We managed to hide ourselves in Jade Auroraʼs body from the heavens by using elder sister Ivy Ariesʼ Seavortex Laws, Claraʼs Sealing Laws, and our Karmic Guardian Physique, allowing the four of us to finally slip into the Time Dimension where we managed to make it back in time, to this day, where the upheaval would begin but managed to warn big brother Davis of it.”

”I understand-” Tia sniffled, ”I understand everything, so please stay…”

Why choose this particular time and event?

Because this was their first step into the true immortal world while the First Haven World was also connected, which gave them access to both worlds, and this was the only timeline they could travel back the most to stop the events from taking place. Why?

Because Clara would become free of heavenʼs influence as of this time, which greatly alters her birth fate of being a ruler underneath the heavens and the myriad of realms, they could not go back any further as that would mean Clara wouldnʼt learn Sealing Laws, a fusion of Mandate Laws and Space Laws as she might take the path of a ruler if they went back any further and tried to change the course of history.

Tia had already seen everything, but words were being etched into the deepest parts of her soul in order for her to not forget. She even knew she was an Anarchic Divergent from this moment, perhaps as ridiculous as her big brother was. However, that was the price to pay as she decided to take the time traveling karmic burden of Clara, Ivy Aries, and Jade Aurora on herself, believing that to be the ultimate sacrifice she could make for their endeavor to come true, as well as using that to her advantage to transmit memories to her old self.

Even the future Clara decided to sacrifice her free Will, knowing that their time reversal would be noticed and the backlash would certainly get to her after the otherworldly maws ate her karma could not step into, but such limitation for a Dimension was temporarily removed with big sister Jade Auroraʼs Timesea Laws.”

away.

”Forgive me, for I canʼt remain as Iʼm already dead.”

The mature Tia wryly smiled, ”But also forgive me for pushing you into this fate. Big brother would surely hate me for harming myself, but I had no choice. We have done as much as we could, so itʼs up to you to console and guide him even if the events we feared would come to pass-”

”No…! Donʼt go…!”

Tia saw everything within her vicinity fade. She was scared. She wished this was a dream, but the smiling elder sisters and Clara, even herself, waved her goodbye as they faded out of her view before everything before her blacked out.

She lost consciousness, ceasing to think anything as she couldnʼt bear the weight of the responsibility nor the sorrow of her future self. She only heard someone vaguely calling out her name, but she didnʼt even want to answer it, slipping into an inconspicuous corner of her world.

”Tia! Clara!”

Ellia kept shouting, trying to wake them up. Her eyes widened as she saw one of the two finally wake up.

Clara slowly raised her head. Her beautiful purple eyes were bloodshot. Even the colors of her pupils were red, and even though her expression was full of sorrow as her bottom lips curled out,she raised her trembling hand, manifesting an icy dagger as she raised it all the way high and brought it down, trying to stab Tiaʼs forehead.

*Clang!~*

A scythe appeared from nowhere, stopping the icy dagger from killing Tia! It was none other than Evelynn, one of her spider bones extending out as she blocked Claraʼs crazy attack.

”Quick, stop her!” Evelynn uttered with some difficulty, appearing already exhausted.

Ellia and Logan swiftly surrounded Clara, only a momentʼs delay from Evelynnʼs command, as they quickly sealed her in a barrier made from their energies.

”Let… me… out! You wicked beings!”

Clara clenched her teeth and growled in a wild voice as though she was trying to suppress something. From her reaction, it didnʼt take much for them to understand that she was possibly under heavenʼs influence, which meant Evelynnʼs treatment had failed!
