Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3240 Brunt Of Their Sacrifice

Claraʼs Transcendent Truth Eyes was finally known to be a dual physique, meaning that it was both a part of the body and the soul, her eyes acting as the gateway to the soul where her powers but also the influence stemmed from, so using Decay Laws, Evelynn was essentially eroding her eyes and soul.

From the start to the end, Evelynn didnʼt relax one bit, but she knew she needed even more focus when using Hex Laws.

Eventually, Evelynnʼs third eye shot open, shining with a blue, sealing light.

However, it didnʼt directly enter Claraʼs soul sea but surged out like threads, appearing to be completely different from the innate powers of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid. This seemed to be a technique she learned.

They were tiny threads, no more than a few millimeters in thickness, and could not be seen by the common eye. They stretched out, wrapping around like a helical structure as they slithered towards Claraʼs forehead.

Finally, they landed on the back of Evelynnʼs hand, wrapped around her finger as they moved forward, entering Claraʼs soul sea in a serene yet eerie manner.

Once the sealing hex threads fueled with karmic power moved into Claraʼs soul sea, they began mending the physique she poisoned, slowly reconstructing the parts that she decayed with her Decay Laws, filling in with sealing threads that bound her soul. Infused in these threads was also a heavy curse, a curse that only allows influence from her to enact on Clara.

A few hours later, when Evelynn was done, her third eye shut close. It was also shedding tears in copious amounts as though it was greatly exhausted.

It was also shedding tears in copious amounts as though it was greatly exhausted.

ʼSuccess!ʼ

Evelynnʼs calm expression almost twitched as she was so excited right now, her lips eventually turning into a wide smile.

Seeing her smiling expression, Logan, Tia, and Ellia were also overjoyed, but they remained silent.

The only thing left was to test if Clara would be influenced when she was near a Divergentʼs Heavenly Tribulation, but more easily, they could simply let her see Ellia and other Divergents, making Clara able to differentiate if this treatment was successful because she would feel an innate dislike to such entities. However-

”Donʼt open your eyes yet. You must take rest for a few days, wait for your eyes to naturally heal so that other energies donʼt accidentally tear the hex seal I placed on you.”

Evelynn uttered. She had also severed the connection to her own seal upon poisoning and mending Claraʼs physique, so even she wouldnʼt be able to control Clara, much less others or the heavens, since she weakened Claraʼs physique greatly.

As long as the hex curse remained unharmed and became stronger day after day, no Will could possibly influence her as the hex curse would absorb everything.

Clara soundlessly nodded her head as though she understood, causing Ellia to appear near her to tie a cloth imbued with medicinal properties that boosted recovery over her eyes, but suddenly, Clara threw her head up and grabbed the corners of her head while opening her mouth.

”Ahhhhh!”

”!!!”

Her sudden, painful reaction caused everyone to be shocked and panicked!

However, they were stupefied to see Tia hold her head and scream at the same time, causing Evelynn, Ellia, and Logan to be dumbfounded. Evelynn had thought she somehow failed in the sealing process or failed to fully ʼpoisonʼ Clara, leaving behind crevices that caused a failure in the sealing of the influence with her Hex Laws, but why under the heavens would Tia scream out was beyond her.

”Clara…! Tia…!”

She stood up, lunging forward, but Logan quickly appeared by her side, raising his hand to block her.

”Move back… this is dangerous, so protect yourself.”

He glanced at her pregnant stomach, causing Evelynn to purse her lips as she was full of guilt at this moment. After all, her father-in-law didnʼt even glance at her with a blaming expression, considering the possibility that she just messed up everything.

Logan knew Clara could go berserk as he heard about her previous incidents, so he walked to his daughter, bent down on one knee, and held her with care. His Level Nine Immortal King Stage undulations brewed, shrouding him and his first daughter as he whispered her words of encouragement, telling her to stay strong and not give up.

Ellia looked at this scene as she remained stupefied, unable to understand this situation.

There was some reason for Clara to scream out in pain as the treatment couldʼve ended in a slight failure, which ruptured her soul, but what about Tia? Why was she screaming in pain?

This situation didnʼt make sense at all.

*Whoosh~*

Although her reaction was delayed, she quickly pounced on Tia and reached out with her palms, beginning to release life energy on her.

”Wha-”

However, Tia pushed Ellia away and raised her hand, telling her not to come near. It caused Ellia to turn speechless as she cast a look at Evelynn for answers, but she was equally in the unknown.

*Pui~*

At this moment, Tia spat out a mouthful of blood. She slumped to the ground, appearing to be gasping for breath while twitching, the pupils on her eyes moving left and right speedily as she was experiencing some livid moments.

”Whatʼs going on!?”

Ellia screamed out. She didnʼt even finish her sentence before Tia spat out another mouthful of blood, causing Elliaʼs panicked expression to turn solemn and determined as she rushed to Tia and began healing her forcefully.

However, with a push of her hand, Tia sent Ellia flying, causing the latterʼs eyes to widen in shock.

She was stronger than Tia by a large margin! How she was even thwarted was ridiculous to her. However, her perceptive eyes caught a scene that made her heart churn in shock.

When she looked at Tiaʼs side profile, it was strangely mature, her eyes shining with an otherworldly purple light, full of wisdom.

*Whoosh!~*

With a leap, Tia appeared beside Clara and Logan. She grabbed Logan by the back of his robe and threw him aside, causing Evelynn to be shocked. After all, Logan had become a Peak Immortal King as he spent a massive amount of time in time chambers to improve his cultivation, forgetting about comprehension in exchange for quick improvement, so he was at least stronger than her at the moment.

Meanwhile, Logan blinked as he landed on the ground beside Evelynn. He didnʼt even know what had taken place just now, finding himself kneeling on the floor before his senses picked up Tia standing beside Clara, but before he could even react, Tia bent and hugged Clara, whispering something.

”Daedalian Karmic Diviner Art: Inversed Selves~”

*Rroooooo!~*

A furious roar echoed as though it was from the depths of the underworld, causing a burst of heavy wind to erupt from Tia and Clara as the center, high-pressure air almost causing everyone to be thrown around. However, Ellia activated a barrier at that moment, which encased Tia and Clara within and blocked the shockwave.

Within the gust of wind that soared and tried to expand outwards but was sealed, Tia and Clara took the brunt of it, but unexpectedly, they didnʼt seem affected at all.

Logan, Ellia, and Evelynn watched this scene with horror, finally understanding this wasnʼt a part of their treatment at all! Was Tia possessed somehow!?

However, they didnʼt know what to do and could only stand there rooted to the surface with dumbfounded expressions on their faces. They knew Tia used some kind of technique but didnʼt know if it was an attack or defense!
