Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3221 Forming Hostility?

”Calypsea, be a good girl and keep your undulations restrained.”

Davis articulated before he flew and crossed the bridge, appearing in front of the Phantom Gaze Cobra. However, it began to gain distance from him, causing him to blink before he turned to look beside him, looking at a little girl staring at the serpent.

”Thatʼs… a dangerous… thing…”

Calypsea pointed at the Phantom Gaze Cobra, causing Davis to be astonished.

”Donʼt near… it…” She further held his sleeve, not wanting to let him go.

Davis became taken aback. This little spirit that had only been recently born was truly intelligent for her to be able to see the difference in prowess between herself and her opponent as well as others like him. Not many were capable of that, and the usual result would be that they would end up dying, many times, showing off.

He couldnʼt help but smile and bend down beside to pat her head.

”Youʼre willing to protect me? Thatʼs praiseworthy of you, little Calypsea.”

Davis was becoming more and more fond of this little spirit he created while the latter titled her head and repeated the word ʼpraiseworthyʼ to want to understand its meaning.

Her lips curled as she came to understand and smiled widely at him.

”Shishi~”

She giggled, turning to look at the Phantom Gaze Cobra with a threatening gaze that made it shudder.

Davis smiled and grabbed her hand, feeling that it would be better if he could teach her more about restraint. After all, he had made her absorb apocalyptic flames, which would make her innately want to cause wanton destruction.

He liked to take full responsibility for her now that she was willing to grab his hand like she was his own child.

”I heard a bit about your origins, so letʼs take this someplace quiet.”

He spoke as he headed further within the mist, flying right past the Phantom Gaze Cobra that brought its head back as though being extremely careful of them.

This scene made the transcendents thoroughly dumbfounded.

Naturally, they knew the Phantom Gaze Serpent was afraid of the Apocalyptic Flame Spirit, the latter even managing to make the Variant Dark Dragon run with its tail between its legs.

Not even for a moment did they believe the Apocalyptic Flame Spirit was stronger than these prisoners as its undulations were at Level Six Immortal Emperor Stage, but considering the prisoners were all sealed, they had no choice but to flee at the sight of the Apocalyptic Flame Spirit, making her probably the strongest being present in this realm.

However, to be able to control the Apocalyptic Flame Spirit, they were even more terrified of this man known as the Emperor of Death, as he could just point at them, and they would be incinerated in the blink of an eye.

Eventually, they saw the Emperor of Death leave with the Apocalyptic Flame Spirit, and the Phantom Gaze Cobra also followed them, causing them to take a few heavy breaths.

”Is this fine? A terrifying being like that is born, but the elders arenʼt descending to help us?”

Thiago Tigerius asked, causing the other Monarchs to turn to look at him.

”I donʼt know, but clearly, this is a Realm Calamity level existence.” Pence Atlas possessed a grave expression on his face, ”If we let it grow freely, it might even grow to a stage where it could incinerate Upper Realms!”

”What are the elders doing!? Are they even watching us anymore? Thereʼs even an Anarchic Divergent jumping on our heads, for heavenʼs sake!”

Lambert Mistwalker appeared from nowhere and roared. He gazed at the heavenly geniuses from the Astral Pill Upper Realm, causing the others to also look at them. The Forgeheart Peak Upper Realmʼs heavenly geniuses were not here. If not, they would also be looked at with expressions full of questions.

However, the Astral Pill Upper Realmʼs heavenly geniuses merely shook their heads, indicating that they really didnʼt know what was happening in this forsaken realm.

The others couldnʼt help but clench their teeth.

If they were being watched, why werenʼt the elders appearing?

If the elders were not watching, does that mean there would be no evacuation? Only a few of them are going to survive this ordeal as it was initially said?

These kinds of speculations made them look at each other in suspicion. After all, they had left their weakest members at the center so that they could take over when the realm concoction started. Obviously, they might have to fight for it, so they were already prepared to make enemies out of everyone here, but at the same time, they really didnʼt know what the realm concoctionʼs mechanics were like.

They still couldnʼt see what was at the center past the veil, which also didnʼt let them enter.

Moreover, they still eyed the forging inheritance the Emperor of Death stole from Lest Mistwalker as it contained the secrets behind the realm concoction.

Regardless, they were extremely worried as this place didnʼt seem to be their playground anymore but belonged to an Anarchic Divergent.

”We must once again unite to fend off evil…”

Someone uttered, causing everyone to rethink their strategies. They carefully gazed at the people the Emperor of Death left, wondering if they could capture them while he was gone.

Myria sensed numerous gazes, but she didnʼt even bat an eyelid.

Instead, she turned to look at the person who approached her.

It was none other than Ralaza Heavenshade.

”Whatʼs wrong with you people? Do you not understand that feeding that little monster is going to make you all wanted criminals?”

She complained as though she was closer to them, causing Myria to blink.

”So what if we are wanted criminals? Do you see a single one of us having trepidation in our hearts?”

However, Lea came forward to speak, her eyes looking into the direction Davis left. Ralaza Heavenshade appeared speechless.

”But-”

”Even if we do forsake the little monster you speak of, we are not going to be let off, for we share the same fate as our man. If our end is with him, weʼre content, but weʼre not going to let that happen. Weʼll keep it away from nearing us with all the power we can get, even if it means nurturing the true manifestation of destruction.”

”…”

Ralaza Heavenshade couldnʼt say anything, but she felt a fiery determination from this woman before her, which told her they experienced way more life-and-death situations than the average cultivator but also informed her of the vast faith they placed upon that strange man with a wicked smile.

Sophie, Bylai, and the others couldnʼt help but smile at Lea, looking at her acting cool like a big sister, but they all agreed with her one hundred percent.

On the other hand, the other Monarchs became more determined not to let them go if thatʼs what it was like.

If they wanted to side with evil beings, it was not their problem if they met a worse fate, was it?

========

At the main treasure island of the serpent sector, Davis arrived.

As he cast a glance at the most important treasure in the serpent sector, he turned to look towards the Phantom Gaze Serpent that followed him.

”Are you not going to stop me?”

The Phantom Gaze Cobraʼs split tongue came out as it hissed.

”Do I look like Iʼm in a position that is capable of stopping you? Just who are you?”

Initially, it looked down on him because even if he was an Anarchic Divergent, he was still an Immortal King junior who could not possibly match it in prowess, but unexpectedly, he had a Nether Springs Death Wolf and an Apocalyptic Flame Spirit that listened to him.

The Phantom Gaze Cobra felt that it was an impossible feat for a young heavenly genius.

Davis smiled in response, ”Who am I? No matter how I describe myself, others always like to paint me evil. You are a prisoner with a gruesome past. Iʼm not going to ask your circumstances, but if you tell me how to get to the Nether Dimension, then Iʼll consider freeing you from this place.”

”…”

The Phantom Gaze Cobra eyed Davis with caution, ”What makes you think you can free me? Senior Nether Springs Death Wolf is one thing as she might be able to free me of the restrictions placed on me on top of extinguishing the chains with her nether death energy, but what about you? How can you free me with your little strength?”

”I see you donʼt want freedom.”

Davisʼs lips curled as he turned to look towards the treasure, hovering towards it.

”Then Iʼll be taking the treasure and leaving. Have fun being burned alive by the apocalyptic flames.”

The Phantom Gaze Cobra gawked.

”Wait…! Itʼs not that I doubt your abilities or connections, but I really donʼt know a way to the Nether Dimension. Youʼre asking the impossible for me to negotiate.”

It hurriedly yelled in panic, causing Davis to stop.

He understood that it downplayed his abilities or external abilities. After all, they were both aware that he could ask Nadia, the ʼseniorʼ, to do the things it asked him to do, not to mention even use the Apocalyptic Flame Spirit to practically melt the chains restricting them.

As for the soul seals and the sealing runes etched on their bodies, he knew Myria might be able to handle them even if not for him, not that he cared since they essentially sealed their physical and soul prowess, which was needed to be kept for them to not act out of place as there was a chance they could kill him after being freed.

Still, it was not a dream to be releasing these prisoners, which made him also wonder if he should try freeing the sincere rabbit to have a potential bodyguard. This thought emerged only after Calypsea came back, allowing him to think further as it might help even if those elders in the sky flew down to execute him or even capture his loved ones during or after the realm concoction.
