Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2586 Racial Curse?

Davis returned his gaze to the cliff, his eyes flickering at the unending darkness that seemed as though wanting to devour him. No matter how he thought, this phenomenon didnʼt seem to be natural, making him assume that her species was cursed.

However, such things didnʼt make him feel anything untoward about her.

”Nadia, would you be willing to die for me?”

Still remaining by Nadiaʼs side, he grasped her arms and set his intense gaze on her, his emotions at an extreme high, but his composed mind couldnʼt help but scream at him.

Whatʼs the vilest thing the heavens could do to stop Nadia, a Nether Springs Death Wolf, from procreating? Itʼs to cause her to die if all else fails. Although his body was calm and his expression composed, his anger had touched a peak, filling him with extreme frustration everywhere his emotions could settle.

-n0ve1、com As a daring and rebellious move, he wanted to forcefully take Nadia here and display a middle finger to the heavens despite all odds, but if it made a move to snuff out her soul, then he would have no one to blame but himself.

He was scared that he would lose Nadia over this matter if he was not careful. At that time, even casting his resurrection technique might not work, and using Fallen Heaven might lead to a downward spiral.

”If master tells me to jump there, I will jump without an ounce of hesitation since my life has always been masterʼs to claim.”

Resounded Nadiaʼs soothing voice as her tone was unusually meek, causing his gaze to tremble.

It spoke volumes of how frightened she was with vaguely realizing what had happened.

Strange phenomena happening werenʼt something weird to her. Her entire life after meeting Davis had been weird. From a plain and undazzling Sunset Mountain Wolf to a regal and magnificent Nether Springs Death Wolf, her mutations have entirely been weird. However, realizing that she might not have the gift to have children was horrifying to any female, and Nadia was the same.

These worries that she thought would never manifest were striking her at her strongest point right now, right when she had everything, her strength and the man she loved. She was scared of the obscure future that awaited her.

Hearing her answer, Davis closed his eyes and heaved a heavy breath. He calmed himself with everything he had. It was no use screaming at a phenomenon or the invisible entity in the skies as it wasnʼt going to reveal itself.

Somehow, Davis felt tired. Many things were not in his control despite him making him make it seem like it was to his women. His ego wasnʼt willing to step down, so his sanity was battling hard to keep himself from going insane and making a wrong move.

ʼOne wrong move is all it takes for your legacy to end... remember that... fool...ʼ

Berating himself, he opened his eyes and displayed a wry smile.

”I swear Iʼll push you down one day, not because I want to prove that fate can be broken, but because I sincerely want you to have my child, Nadia. Judging by achievements alone, youʼre the one who deserves to be the most taken care of and pampered.”

Nadiaʼs face lit up from hearing his words. Her lips curled into a gratified smile, ”I know, but Iʼll tell what you said to others.”

”Oh? Look whoʼs threatening me now...”

Davis placed his hand on her cheek and kissed her soft, needy lips. They partook in ensuring each other of their love even if they couldnʼt make one. Their situation was pitiful, perhaps, if exaggerated, could be compared to licking each otherʼs wounds as they knew that something untoward would befall them if they proceeded further, but it was more than enough for them to feel assured with each otherʼs presence.

After a few seconds, Davis let Nadia go because there were hushed voices of pain echoing from the center of the lake.

He saw Tanyaʼs pale skin had become red, as though she was in a sauna. She appeared to be unable to endure the icy burning while absorbing the rootʼs essence and was painfully moaning in hushed voices. He stood up, unable to tolerate her suffering any longer, and flew up to her.

*Ssss!*

Sparks ignited around Davis as heavenly flames burst into existence, spreading around him and rushing toward Tanya. Despite its blazing heat and heavy pressure, it surrounded Tanya as though it was soothing her, allowing her to be held in an embrace by a sea of dark crimson flames.

The vast ice surrounding her sizzled from the heat, but unexpectedly, the icy burning corroding Tanyaʼs meridians acted like they were rejuvenated as though receiving spring warmth, blossoming with vibrant sweat that made her look like a heavenly beauty.

Davis also stared at Tanya for a while as his heavenly flames ended up wounding her naked, but since it was in his absolute control, it didnʼt harm her but made her feel warm, as though she sat by a fireplace. His heavenly flames served to suppress the burning nature of the ice essence of the Mercurial Metal Ice Pearl and its root.

However, he couldnʼt help but frown.

ʼThis isnʼt good... my heavenly flames would dissolve the lake sooner rather than allow them to take advantage of it...ʼ

Originally, the viscous mercurial lake was already depleted by thirty percent since Kayla had it taken away because of an agreement exchanged by Tanya. He didnʼt blame her one bit. After all, he was the one who told them to acquire it by themselves, and it didnʼt matter if they used their might or brains. In fact, he was glad that they used their smarts to acquire the treasure, although there were some dangers involved that made use of his presence to break through.

As for him, it would only be a breeze but would end up incurring everyoneʼs wrath and turn against him or look at him in a marginal light.

After all, he was already branded as a Divergent. There was no use in offending everyone he saw unless it benefited him in some way but just for this resource? He deemed it wasnʼt worth it and had his women take care of it, as it was more advantageous to them to see the world through their own eyes.

They really did make him proud but absorbing this Immortal King Grade Resource was something else. They were nearing their limit one by one.

He could sense Tanyaʼs cultivation rising rapidly, but before she and the others could take advantage of it more, his heavenly flames might end up evaporating them and letting them end up with less than twenty or thirty percent of the resource.

That wasnʼt something he would do as he always tried to make use of the most from the resources he acquired. Thinking of how to mitigate this problem, his eyes couldnʼt help but flicker as his figure subconsciously moved.

Tanyaʼs eyelids trembled as she sat, lightly immersed in the icy lake while also being surrounded by heavenly flames. She could feel his aura enveloping her, which gave her immense confidence to continue, but at this moment, her eyes shook as she suddenly felt two hands grab her waist and something hitting her from below.

”...!?”

Her eyes shot wide open in shock over this familiar sensation and what she saw was an enamored man looking at her with a bit of passion.

”If itʼs so painful, Iʼll ease your pain with my body...”

”Ahh~”

Feeling a big thing spreading her apart from below, Tanyaʼs lips parted as she held his shoulders, only then realizing that she was actually naked in his embrace, sitting on top of him as he held in her lotus, dual cultivation posture.fre𝑒𝘸𝑒𝑏𝗻𝒐v𝐞l.𝘤𝘰𝒎
