Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2573 A Glimpse

”Wait a minute. How did such a character enter this place when Immortal Kings and above are restricted from entering? She possible couldnʼt have possibly overpowered it...”

Natalya couldnʼt help but doubt, jolting Davis and Tanya out of their reverie.

”Perhaps, there was no suppression in the past...?”

Tanya pursed her lips and wondered while Davis was clueless. Not only him but everyone was ignorant as no one knew anything about the past Mercurial Blitz Ice Valley.

But indeed, if they thought about it, this legend didnʼt make sense unless there was something more to this place than it was known.

”Still, it is helpful to Tanya.” Davis lightly smiled as he returned his gaze to the golden-robed man, ”You have my gratitude for informing me about this matter, Niel Bladeheart.”

”Oh? Your friend here is a sword cultivator?”

Only after recognizing what Davis said did he look towards Tanya and notice the sheathed sword with a golden hilt she held in her hand. He instantly became interested, looking at her with the intent to battle her.

”With how powerful your female friend was, Iʼd really like to exchange pointers with her and see how skilled she is.”

”Aha.” Davis chuckled as he shook his head, ”Sheʼs not my friend but one of my precious life partners. Also, sheʼs not as powerful as Myria, but sheʼs making steady progress in reaching that kind of level. To that end, I agree that it would be helpful if you both could exchange pointers later.”

”Iʼm grateful.”

Tanya cupped her hands towards Niel Bladeheart. She could see that Davis was impressed with him when it came to Sword Laws and respected him despite defeating him. Moreover, her initial reaction to his presence was awe because she could feel that she was not a match just by sensing the innate sword aura reveling around him.

When he appeared near them, she knew they were all in his killing range.

She hoped to reach such a level in the future.

Niel Bladeheart nodded and said no more, simply waiting for the icy fog to clear up.

They waited for ten minutes straight, but nothing happened. Becoming impatient, Davis turned to look at the blonde woman behind him.

”Tia, can you divine the time of the opening?”

”Yes, I can.”

Tia responded enthusiastically through soul transmission as her face behind her white veil turned joyful. She skipped a few steps and flew to the icy fog appearing before it. She was a few tens of meters away from the Silver Rain Ice Spirit Kayla, who turned to look at her in doubt.

A Level Two Immortal?

Not only her but everyone began to wonder why she appeared. Since she had the same blonde hair as Davis had and stood near him, everyone stayed wary of her. A layer of light energy was also covering her, defending her from the freezing environment, courtesy of Threelotus and the other two. However, they saw her capture a strand of icy fog in a gourd as she pulled the mercurial icy energy in carefully and flew back to Davis.

They then saw her sit on the icy terrain and perform a few hand signs and start to utter something in whispers. The strange thing was everyoneʼs eyes widened as they realized the heaven and earth energy was acting strange around her. It was rumbling as though the dynamic change around her was going to explode.

But still, she had her eyes closed, her brows furrowing as her eyelids quivered ever so lightly.

Davis was astonished to see Tia perform divination without divining instruments other than the material container. Clearly, her skill had superseded such a requirement. At least for this divination, it seemed like Tia didnʼt need it.

ʼThe Karmic Guardian Physique is truly amazing...ʼ

Davis knew the instruments were also used for withstanding the backlash of peering into heavenʼs preordained future. However, the Karmic Guardian Physique was special because it was a defensive karmic physique that basically limited such backlashes to a negligible amount.

”She... sheʼs a Mystic Diviner?”

Rea Tyrielʼs eyes lit up, not expecting Davis to have a gem hidden by his side as she saw that she didnʼt need instruments to divine. That was not something even the Mystic Diviners in her family couldnʼt or would not try to do as they always remained reverent towards the heavens, not wanting to disrespect it by acting arrogant enough to withstand the backlash through their own bodies even if they could.

Every act of divination, even the most meaningless divinations, has some sort of backlash. Even if it is minuscule, it was still not something Mystic Diviners would like to endure, afraid that they would be inflicted with karmic burden that would endanger their future.

However, this young blonde woman in front of her bravely attempted to divine without ample protection, which thoroughly got not only her attention but also everyone elseʼs.

”The icy fog will clear in approximately eight minutes... ugh-”

Tia abruptly opened her eyes and declared, her gleaming purple eyes losing their luster as they returned to normalcy.

It was unknown what she had perceived through her eyes, but Davis believed her.

”Heh, ridiculous. I say that it will clear in around three minutes.”

Suddenly, a lazy voice echoed in the area as everyone turned to look at a blue-haired woman. She wore a mystic purple robe and a veil that made her appear quite mysterious and unreachable. Her silver hair lightly flailed as she seemed to have flicked it in amusement.

”Little diviner, youʼre wrong.”fre𝑒𝘸𝑒𝑏𝗻𝒐v𝐞l.𝘤𝘰𝒎

Tia was already feeling a bit stupid as she had announced the time in excitement, which couldʼve given some advantage to them if she shared it through soul transmission between her group but hearing someone actually denounce her, she couldnʼt help but curiously look at the owner of the lazy female voice.

Silver eyelashes fluttered before she turned to look at Tia with her white eyes that seemed to have no pupils.

”You are...” Tia narrowed her purple eyes, ”Mystic Diviner Hailac?”

”Indeed.” Mystic Diviner Hailac lightly gave a prideful nod, ”Itʼs good that you heard about me because Iʼm the second-best Mystic Diviner in the Immortal Rankings currently, so if you need some help, you can come to visit me, but of course, Iʼll charge a hefty fee.”

Tia turned to look at Davis. However, he didnʼt say anything, causing her to return her gaze and nod.

”Sure, but letʼs see who is right here, you or me.”

”Oh? Youʼre challenging me?”

Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs voice turned amused as she narrowed her eyes at Tia. The latter shuddered a bit. Having faced no challenge in her life ever before because she didnʼt go out, even in the Heaven Gazing Sect, where she studied for a period of time, a new feeling rocked her soul as her lips curved.

”Of course, but itʼs you who denounced me, so youʼre the one who issued a challenge.” Tiaʼs melodious voice oozed out with confidence, causing Mystic Diviner Hailac to burst into laughter.

”Aha~ Little diviner, I merely pointed out your mistake. A stronger being can never challenge a weaker being, you know~”

”...”

Tia frowned. She didnʼt know how to exchange words when the other party was convinced that she was the weaker being in divination. Just as she wanted to retort, she heard Davisʼs voice echo.
