Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2563 Issued

”Big brother... I...”

Tia was taken aback by Davisʼs presence for a moment before she stood straight and answered, ”I used the top-tier divination methods taught to me by the Heaven Gazing Temple, training in it. I looked at the never-ending stars of the skies, burning their reflection in my eyes. Usually, we all divine a region rather than an individual or a particular object so that itʼs vague and wouldnʼt result in much backlash, but now, I saw only ruins when divining the surrounding regions.”

Tia explained worriedly, making Davis slightly uncomfortable.

”Whatʼs the cause?”

”That... I donʼt know...”

Tia shook her head. However, Davis couldnʼt help but connect the dots.

”Uhm... have you seen the blizzard outside? It might be the cause of devastation. If thatʼs the case, then thereʼs no need to be so bothered about it, no?”

”It... in my divination... it was still blizzard.”

Davisʼs bros furrowed at Tiaʼs unsure words.

”In other words, it doesnʼt stop?”

”I- I canʼt say for sure. I apologize.”

Tia hurriedly bowed her head, causing Davis to shake his head.

”What are you saying? Divination ordinarily is looking into the vague future and making sense of it. I heard most of them will only be able to see signs like witnessing a crumbling rock and correlate that with destruction or make something out of it, but you were even able to see vague images of destruction. That speaks volumes about your divination ability, so donʼt be apologetic, little aunt. Be more confident.”

”O-Okay~”

Tia lightly smiled. She didnʼt wear a veil, so everyone was able to see how cute she was, causing Isabella and Shirley to smile.

”Little aunt! Carry us!~”

”Come play with us~”

”Aw~ You sweet little pies~ Come here to little aunt~”

Tia instantly melted as she went towards Eterna and Celestia and snatched them from their mothers, pressing her cheeks against their soft, chubby cheeks.

She was a faithful visitor after she got out of seclusion, finding these babies more and more adorable, not understanding she was just that in the eyes of the others.

On the other hand, Davis thought of asking Tia what the chances were that this blizzard was caused by his presence but decided against it. He felt that such divination would more or less cause the heavens to project a heavy karmic burden on the diviner, and since these diviners would be in touch with the heavens during that time, a greater and direct backlash became possible of affecting them instead of waiting for heavenly tribulation to punish them.

He didnʼt want Tia to suffer such a backlash.

Nevertheless, after discussing a few things with them and instructing Tia to get Clara if the latter exited seclusion, he walked outside the mansion and headed towards the north.

There, he arbitrarily entered a mansion and pompously walked as though invading it.

”Myria, your great ally, Davis Loret, has come. Why arenʼt you out yet to greet me?”

His voice resounded throughout the entire mansion, even echoing thrice.

Seeing that it was absolutely empty and deserted, Davis was suddenly at a loss.

He had so many women, and thanks to them, they decorated the mansion he lived in like hundreds of people were living there. Not one space could be seen as empty or crass, having some eye-pleasing object that would make oneʼs mind really go that it was an uncluttered and luxurious home.

But this... this mansion was just practically abandoned. There was nothing here, causing him to feel a bit more understanding of her life. It was relatable to a degree as he lived this life of interacting with no one or even keeping the house look somewhat presentable back when he was a mortal.

”Hmph! If you arenʼt going to come out, then Iʼm going to have to find your room, so donʼt blame me for catching you off-guard.”

Davis found a trail of footsteps from the snow dust and followed it, but suddenly a white-robed, white-haired woman floated out of the hallway.

”How noisy. Canʼt you behave yourself in someone elseʼs residence?”

With her face hidden behind a white veil, a pair of beautiful eyes entered his view, and her admonishing voice was strict but sounded melodious as ever.

Davis couldnʼt help but smile once he saw her but simultaneously frowned.

”Wait... youʼre a soul body...”

Myria also narrowed her eyes, ”And your cultivation has improved beyond me.”

She clenched her fists, appearing absolutely livid with her eyes wide, ”You- while you asked my contribution points that I worked hard and spent time to earn, you secretly cultivated!?”

”Iʼm never helping you again!”

She waved her hand and declared, causing Davis to raise his hands in surrender.

”Itʼs a misunderstanding! Myria, I didnʼt use your contribution points to get ahead of myself. I really used it for the marriage, as I said. This is a perk of that you-know-what. It allows me to cultivate my Soul Forging Cultivation extremely fast, so give me some slack.”

”Here. Iʼll give you back the two hundred thousand contribution points I owed you.”

Davis came up to her but then remembered that her status plate wasnʼt with her. Without that, trade or exchange of contribution points wasnʼt possible in most cases. They would have to go to an elder.

”How did you earn it?”

Myria was instantly suspicious. She had to work her ass off to gain contribution points, but here Davis was, handing her back her contribution points as though he really did have them.

”I got lucky with someone wanting to pay me to know my prowess as a Divergent. Some people really do live how they want to live, wasting contribution points, so one should know how to be smart and take advantage of them when the opportunity presents itself...”

”...”

Myriaʼs lips twitched.

Of course, it wasnʼt like she hadnʼt received any so-called opportunities as male disciples approached her, boldly telling her that they would take care of her as long as she submitted to them. If that was being called smart or taking advantage of the opportunity, she really didnʼt know what to say but looking at Davis earn just for showing off his prowess, she couldnʼt help but feel livid again.

Was there any fairness in this world? They were both Anarchic Divergents, and he was even more dangerous than her with that apex treasure, so how come he was luckier?

Feeling Myria coldly stare at him, Davis couldnʼt help but understand that he had bragged too much. He coughed.

”So, where is your main body?”

Myria heaved a small sigh as she took her gaze off him.

”Investigating the source of the Mercurial Blitz Ice Valley and trying to mitigate anything we find. I have a bad feeling about this natural disaster, but since the mission gives generous rewards, it is worth trying.”

”Mission?” Davis blinked.

This wasnʼt announced, no?

”You didnʼt know? What are you doing here wasting time then?”

Myria chided as she got the chance, smiling with amusement in her eyes but Davis became solemn.

”You really want to know?”

”Shameless.”

Myriaʼs expression changed, remembering that he had just been with his women for three days straight, or a month to be exact, so of course, he would be doing what he would be doing, which is his women, especially the brides.

She couldnʼt help but harrumph and continue.

”Hmph. The Aurora Cloud Gate has issued missions specifically for Late Stage Immortals to investigate the Mercurial Blitz Ice Valley. It seems that thereʼs a regional spatial restriction in that valley, so only Immortals could enter, but they would have to be strong as an Immortal King to be even able to survive in that region. Itʼs a constant race against resisting the cold, so if you end up out of energy, youʼll get frozen to death. Even your soul wouldnʼt be able to leave your body at that time.”
